I flashed a new rom prime iii and i keep getting this error cannot connect to dialing modem or something. then i get a gprs error. it randomly happens. auto weather and auto quickgps are disabled and i do those manually with wifi.
i have data disabled and i would ONLY get that error if i tried to update weather without being on wifi. but it will happen while i am sleeping or any other random time.
So, you have no data plan?
I suspect the issues is in Settings\Connections\Connections\Advanced Settings\Select Networks (I set mine to MediaNet because I have data, I think you would set them to Work to eliminate any accidental data usage).
Also, check for proxy settings and delete.
This application is only for users affected by the "No service / Limited connectivity" problem.
If your phone drops the network connection and the only solution is to toggle the airplane mode on/off or reboot your phone to restore the signal then you can try this.
The application monitors (listens) for a "Limited connectivity" situation then switches the airplane mode to ON for 2 seconds. The switch is delayed by 10 seconds to allow the phone to recover itself (if possible).
The UI is basic, showing the last 20 or so lines of log (screenshot attached).
The service starts automatically at boot or when invoked from the UI and it only runs when notified by the Android OS that the phone lost the connectivity to the network.
Hi,
my bluetooth suddenly is turning on for some reason i don't know today. I don't know how it is turning on. any way to track which apps is doing this?
I tried to check on settings >> applications >> application manager >> change system settings but there are too many apps that is enabled and I don't know which app is really causing the bluetooth to turn on.
any other method to know how?
Thanks!
Hi, I have the same problem. Did you find out how to repair this?
Are you using Good Lock?
Good Lock, uses a location base to change toggles.
I have mine setup so when i leave the house Bluetooth comes on.
When i get to work, Bluetooth goes off and silent mode is activated.
When i leave work, Sound is loud and bluetooth is active again.
When i get home, it will turn off Bluetooth and enable Wifi.
(Just incase you are using Good Lock) It was puzzling me for ages until i went in and configured it properly.

for my case, i found out it was because of the Mi Fit app. When I restart the phone, the bluetooth is not turning on. but when I open the Mi Fit app, it will not always auto turn on the bluetooth.
Check if you have this app.
My bluetooth is turning on only when my screen is off. When I turn the screen on I see bluetooth icon, and after unlock, icon disappear. Sometime, when I doesn't wait on lock screen, but unlock phone immediately bluetooth remain on. I attach list of all my apps.
Is there any app that shows apps which are using bluetooth?
I'm on stock ROM with root, xposed and twrp.
Well a good way would to individually check all the apps, who knows maybe you'll get lucky and it will be the first one you try. Or i recommend just going through the ones that use Bluetooth commonly eg if you have like a smart watch that connects to your phone.
I make a full wipe yeasterday, and problem remains. BetterBatteryStats shows that bluetooth is linked with turning screen on (see screenshot).
I have XPrivacy, how can I set to always asks to use bluetooth?
I uninstalled half of all my apps, and nothing changed.
Did you tried to wipe apps data? Go to app manager, choose view of system apps, and find anything involved with BT, as I remember I had 3 or 4 in my Galaxy S5.
As I said before I made full wipe. Can I get any information from btsnoop_hci.log?
Did you found problem just after wipe (on a clean ROM)? Or after restore apps?
At first startup, phone restore my apps. so I can't it is system app or installed from google play.
Ok so IMHO it's not bad idea to delete app data of some BT applications from app manager.
How can I find which app is using bluetooth?
Names starts with "bluetooth" and contains "bluetooth" ex. sharing bluetooth (udostępnianie).
Ok, done. I have 4 apps: Bluetooth MIDI Service 6.0.1, BluetoothTest 6.0.1, Bluetooth Sharing 6.0.1 and com.see.knox.bluetooth (which was uninstalled, because it's grey in titanium backup).
Ok, keep the fingers crossed! This helped me with my old S5 - maybe will be helpfull to you.
Unfortunately no effect for me.
Clear also data of google play services.
Hello everybody,
Have bought an H870DS and apart from the missing root permissions happy with it.
The problem now is that when I'm at work it loses the wireless connection after some time and stops seeing networks (see picture). The only thing that helps is rebooting or switching aircraft mode on and off (in the long run it is not a solution) and then it keeps the connection for some time. Happens only in the work environment and not at home. I already deleted system cache data and could still factory reset. Happens also with disabled data saver, VPN, alarm, etc.
I have another week to return the device. Can someone help me.
Install LG bridge software on your PC and update your firmware, even if you're running the latest revision of Android for your phone.
Phone: Snapdragod S10+ (SM-G9750)
I'm having problems with wifi connection. When connecting to wifi networks the phone either freezes and forces a restart or keeps turning the wifi off and on repeatedly while gaining a connection to the wifi network for about 10 seconds inbetween. This is a brand new phone. Tried resetting the network settings, did a system update, multiple restarts etc - nothing helped.
Any help is appreciated.
if it's a brand new phone....go back where you buy it....
That could definitely be a hardware problem--I had an OP5 that behaved similarly because it's motherboard was defective. I would boot the phone into Safe Mode to see if it still happens to verify that a third party app isn't causing your problem.
The other software possibility involves how you set up your phone. If you set it up from a backup (including a Google Cloud backup) rather than completely from scratch as a new device it's possible that the backup restored system data that is causing your issue.
