My phone is A2017 and it was flashed A2017U B29. The main sim is for calling/sms and the second one is only for mobile network. Both sim supports 4G LTE and they belong to a different carrier. I noticed following bugs:
If I use 2 sim at a time and access "Dual Sim Settings" All settings is not responding and hang out.
If I put main sim into sim 1 slot and turn on Data for sim 2 the network is only EDGE.
If I put main sim into sim 2 slot and turn on Data for sim 1 the network is 4G LTE.
My question is how to fix bug hanging out All settings.
Sim 2 will not give 4g data. Only sim slot 1. Does everything else work? I may flash my A2017 if everything is working for you. Let me know what you did to flash please. Thanks

Yes, everything besides Dual sim settings work. I follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/guide-a2017u-firmware-a2017g-t3495039 with additional steps.
Step 11.5: In TWRP, DO NOT swipe to allow for system modifications unless you are going to root as you will be in a bootloop when you leave twrp.
Step 12: WIPE Cache - Dalvik - DATA - System - Internal SD and format DATA
DO NOT flash the bootstack as it will screw up your device.

This is a known issue with mixing bootstacks and systems. There is no known fix at the moment.
A month has passed is there any way to fix this issue?
Thanks

Have you tried to flash the latest bootstack for your device?
In the tutorial, what it means was don't flashthe U bootstack as that will screw up your device if you don't have a U device
So flash the bootstack for the Chinese version, which is what you got
That should fix the issue,
Someone in the thread of ZIADMAX ROM or whatever it's called said it worked when they flashed their devices bootstack, latest version

You can get it from the bellow thread
Make sure it's for you Device
NOT your ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ax...de-updates-to-stock-files-via-t3469484/page34
So if your device is G on a U firmware for an example you need to download the G bootstack, the latest one would do best

Yeah just go to that link and download the Chinese bootstack, but the latest for your device
For an example if the latest is b08 then download b08 bootstack for Chinese
If the latest update is b06 then download b06 bootstack for Chinese device which is a2017. Without the U and G at the end

**** Flashing the proper Hw boot stack DOES NOT resolve the dual sim bug, at least, for me.

Hello, I currently am using a jio sim as my primary sim. However, i tried all the methods suggested on xda but still no volte.
List of things that i have tried:-
1. Tried flashing the modem(doesn't work at all)
2. Flashing MIUI 7.5 version as suggested( V7.5.2.0.LHJMIDE_20160629.0000.25_5.1_global ) to be precise
3. Tried flashing another one of Redmi2 Prime's firmware(global developer rom)
4. And tried flashing several other ROMs(Orion OS, RR, Tesla, AOSP and DU) after doing step2 and still no volte support found
Can anybody help me?
@cypherx1998 Flash kitkat dev rom 7.1.5 or newer from fastboot, after it starts booting turn of your device and boot into fastboot, then flash the latest lollipop dev rom and boot into it, setup your device, then go to settings, mobile data (I think, it's where you have the option to change to 3g and 4g data) and enable VoLTE voice calls, after that, reboot into fastboot and flash TWRP 3.0.2-0, then go to wipe, advanced wipe, select:
cache/dalvik-cache
system
data
internal storage
and then wipe, after that go to wipe again, select cache, then "change partition format" select F2FS, and swipe to apply, do the same thing for data, don't do on dalvik-cache and system, or else this may brick your device.
Then flash the wt88047 firmware avaliable on LineageOS second or third post, do a full wipe again, install VoLTE universal Patch Here do a full wipe again, then flash the latest LineageOS build, after wipe only cache and data, flash OpenGapps pico arm android 7.1.1 and reboot.
You will have VoLTE
Try to flash RR 5.8.0 nought ROM. U will have voLTe working on ur device. I am currently using that ROM. Go for it

If u want VoLTE u will have to flash the redmi 2 prime rom either fastboot or recovery...
However ur device will start lagging and ur free ram won't go higher than 300 MB.

voLte is working for sim1. See the screenshot below
Volte works just flash latest wxcpro ROM by editing its script so that it won't say 'this ROM is for so and so ****'

Took me time to try this...but didnt work.....you might think that i didnt follow the steps properly..but i did and i verified on each step that i was doing it the right way....but sadly it didnt work
You may try Redmi 2 Prime ROM (stable or dev) for some days..Check whether you get VoLTE on that ROM or not.. If yes then use that for some days maybe 2 or 3 days..It will be slow at first then after 2 to 3 hours of use u will feel no lag..I was using Developer version for 2-3 months which was fine for daily driver..I just faced storage issue..Then I tried stable version, and the same issue was there.. So I decided to use some custom ROMs and I Flashed AOSP Extended (Nougat)..VoLTE works fine and the ROM is so much smooth with good battery backup..But due to slow internet speed I am using Mokee 7.1 right now.. You can try using R2P ROM for some days...If VoLTE works there then it will work on other ROMs too( as per my experience).

Yes just flash either the dev or stable Redmi 2 Prime ROM. I can say that this works because I have flashed it on as many as three devices. Just go to this link and find out Redmi 2 Prime Global Developer ROM or Global Stable ROM.
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Remember these are to be flashed in fastboot. After flashing this, you can flash any Nougat based ROM like LOS, RR, AEX, cRDroid, etc to enjoy VoLTE on those ROMs too.

1)download Mi flash tool
http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=attachment&aid=NzYzMjQzfGFlZDEyMDMzfDE0NzI1NDg5MDJ8ODE5MTF8MzM2MTg0
2)
download fastboot rom redmi 2 prime global stable or china
http://bigota.d.miui.com/V8.1.3.0.L...DI_20161230.0000.00_5.1_global_23ac47dab8.tgz
above is global stable link.
3) put your phone in fastboot mode, unzip the downloaded rom. (avoid spaces in between folder path/name eg "C:\New Folder\Extracted rom\...." is not allowed instead it should be like C:\New_Folder\Extracted_rom\.......)
4) open mi flashing tool see if your device is listed. refresh to see. select clean all (flash_all.bat) option from bottom of mi flashing tool.
5) click on flash, and let it boot.
you would be able to use VoLTE now in miui rom. if you want to change to any N based roms just flash twrp and clean install any rom.
Flashing the MIUI 7.5.2 global ROM should work. Wipe everything and do a clean install. Once you see an indication of VOLTE on the MIUI then you should be able to get the same in other ROMS. I just did it recently.
Flash the redmi 2 prime rom using any of the methods fast boot or normal. If VoLte is what u r looking for

I think i can help you dude. Flash this fastboot rom you have. Boot it with YOUR Jio sim in the first sim slot inside. Setup everything normally in the phone. After it booted, you WILL see the Volte symbol in the statusbar.
Now root it and install TWRP. Now install a Volte rom of your choice. It has to work.
I will say you why this has to work. I own this device. The 8GB variant. My friend owns the same device. While my device had Volte working, his' didn't work. I checked it. He had kitkat bootloader. Then i flashed the lollipop stock rom in his device in fastboot mode. i directly rooted the device and installed cm14.1 in his device. Still no Volte. I wondered what the fcuk was just happening. My friend was like i'll cope up with this dude. I'll use jio 4g voice. But couldn't leave it like that. I tried it the second time just like i have told you and then VOLTE STARTED ****ING WORKING MAN !!! I was on cloudnine !!! Just helping you out !!
I think the reason Volte was not working is because the jio sim needed the stock rom to trigger it to start Volte sevices. Before it, the jio must have thought "yeah, this is a non volte device ". Just saying !!
Have a nice day !!!

I think their is no(simple) way to know that. But you can try a app named "phone info". But it didn't work out for me.It is showing unknown bootloader.
The best way to know your bootloader version is " try to remember which miui ROM u flashed last".
Or there is lolypop firmware in lineage is thread for u.

Simple. Press vol down and power. will boot into fastboot mode.
If the letters saying FASTBOOT are in green color and small, it is in KitKat bootloader. If the letters saying FASTBOOT are in Blue color and little big, it is Lollipop. I know it sounds a little lame, but trust me, this is a reliable method. If you flashed the lollipop rom via the mi Flash application through system, and youve got the blue colored bootloader, then you are on lollipop bootloader

How do I go back to stock rom? I'm currently using Rei's LineageOS 14.1 of CodeOfHonor, with Meticulus' TWRP installed.
My original version is VNS-L31C636 Dual Sim. I have tried searching in the forum to no avail. All the instructions I've found are either too unclear or lacks more details. I don't want the risk of bricking my phone right now. I'm familiar with the dload method but I'm not sure enough of what files to flash etc.

Firmware Finder
Is there any other way for going back to stock? I have a limited data plan and it would cost me so much data for downloading Marshmallow firmware and then OTA updating to Nougat.
UPDATE:
Samsung is testing a new firmware for the unlocked S7 and will be a bootloader version 8
<latest>G930UUEU8CRJ2.DM/G930UOYM8CRJ2/G930UUEU8CRJ2</latest> Verizon
How to do this :
Step 1 : You need root your phone. Check the post HERE This works for Oreo And Nougat Roms
Step 2 : Use FlashFire to install custom binary from 930U firmware (tar have Recovery -Boot -System-Cached img). DOWNLOAD HERE (Extract tar file)
- Click the Red + button and choose 'Flash Firmware Package' and choose 'G930UUES4CRG3.tar' select all partitions
- Click on EverRoot, and disable/uncheck inject supersu option
- Click the Red + and choose 'Wipe' (Wipe data/Factory reset all your app)
- Ensure System data, 3rd party apps and Dalvik cache are CHECKED
- Ensure Mount /system read/write is CHECKED AND "Process Cache" DISABLED (cause bootloop after flash with flashfire)
- Press the big FLASH button.
After the flash it complete, you will have 930U Firmware run on 930P Bootloader v5/v6 with no root.
Enjoy pure Stock 930U Rom
On attached My phone run CRG3 latest U rom on 930P Bootloader. Rooted with custom kernel

There was a thread posted a few weeks ago with the info. Results have been mixed in terms of network connection. The main thread linked to a site called gsmzambia . Will probably work unless you are on Sprint, but you will have a few errors and bugs.
Hopefully, he found something new out.

Will this also give you the weird submenus under settings: T Roaming; GiGa LTE? Under the GSMZambia version, I never could get service. Have you tried this with Sprint or another carrier?

Did you take all the parts from the CRG3 firmware? cache.img is from CSC, correct? Do you basically take the stock firmware for the XAA variant?
Also, did you have to convert the files from img.ext4 to img files? What did you use for this? I've used sgs4toext4 to convert those files to a quasi img file to open in LinuxReader, but you are unable to edit them. When I downloaded the Oreo firmware the file structure was ext4. I can open normal img files in 7zip, but not img.ext4 files.
Thanks.

After updating my phone is on bootloop and not even goto recovery i have done all the steps correctly root successfully then install U firmware successfully after that phone is on bootloop then i tired rooting again and flash the root boot file from here S7_Oreo_Su_Binary_Only_ADB_Root.zip then phone is boot normally but when it comes to setup screen phone reboots automatically what can i do now?
Can anyone confirm if SafetyNet passes with this method? I have a spare S7 on Sprint nougat v5 that I use for Pokemon Go and require SafetyNet to pass.
Sprint BLv5
Has anyone with BLv5 actually gotten this method to work?
I have tried this several times now. Followed GSMZambia directions making my own tar to flash and followed this thread. Both resulted in phone getting stuck in a boot loop, flashing the custom firmware lock screen then restarting.

I am also interested about knox in this case.
You cannot update to Oreo if you are on BLv55. Installing Nougat this way worked while being on BLv5, however, this does NOT seem to work with Sprint even if you flash the cache.img file from the csc file.
It gets stuck on AutoPreconfig and makes you reboot as soon as you put the sim card in and then gives an error when on the sim card blue screen so it is never able to set up the services.
I tried disabling AutoPreconfig through adb and that does remove the popup message and allows me to search for networks under the network operator settings and Sprint does come up but it is never able to connect to the network.
Agree with all the above comments this method is not working properly... i am again on stock sprint v7 bootloader firmware

This method probably works great if you have anything other than Sprint or Sprint MVNO, but something is conflicting like it does during a typical root of the G930P. Someone suggested to see if the phone was reporting an IMEI number. Since Sprint still uses CDMA, it doesn't really depend on the SIM for service. Maybe one idea is to flash an edited build prop in flashfire at the end of the 'install' when some changes like the old root method required. But then it may mess if/when you pop in another SIM card
I tried the method several times. But everytime flashfire finishes installing the rom, the phone reboots in a bootloop. I can't even get on recovery mode, only download mode. Why does it happen? I have a spint S7 G930P on Android Oreo 8.0, Rev0. 6 and baseband version G930PVPU6CRE7. Can anybody help me?

Yeah, this method has some issues and bugs. I did the nougat version of this. Android worked great, but it wouldn't connect to the Sprint network. What type of bootloop are you receiving? Some people have complained of a sim card provision one using Sprint

Just after i flash the zip file with G930U firmware with flashfire, i have bootloops. I can't even get on recovery mode. Only download mode. I am overseas and i don't use sprint sim card on the phone.
I have a G930P with Binary 6, went to the entire process and succeeded to flash BL 4 Firmware U, even the Model of the phone changed to G930U in the settings menu but it didn't recognize my sim card, it said "No Sim Card" :v I tried killing Knox and sprint daemons with ADB shell but no success to get my sim cards to work, I'm outside US without access to a sprint sim card :/ ##3424# ##3666633# and *#0808# already tried once in U Firmware failing again... Is any one running smoth on this method on AT&T or Verizon?
Hey guys, I tried flashing the stock moto oreo rom (october patch) through 1. flashing via fastboot and 2. twrp flashable rom.
Both methods worked but I lost my IMEI, regardless of which method I flashed the rom with.
I had made two EFS & Persist backups (one from resurrection remix rom and one from a twrp nougat june patch rom) and tried to restore them after flashing the moto oreo rom, but no success.
Can anyone help me with this? I really want to use the stock oreo rom!
Please help guys!
What version of twrp?
twrp which error during restore?
Ever flashed someone else's persist file when you were on stock?

Try flashing one of the full flashable zips from that thread, get the last one. But in the installer, do not select firmware.
Hopefully that will get you going again. And no, don't ever install an ota.

Thanks for all your help is there any way to fix OTA updates? like relocking bootloader? or should I just leave that unlocked ?
I just installed \POTTER_NPNS25.137-93-4_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
and am getting a 3g \ H signal now but its a different sim card and service from original card, seems to be working now
Is it just oreo that screws everything up , I know this is all over but its not very straight forward
im no android expert clearly

Bootloader doesn't matter, can stay unlocked.
And the IMEI/4g problem is Nougat only, never heard of someone who lost something on Oreo or when updating to it.
If you flash latest Oreo firmware for your region (endings with 17-xx are US, 13-xx is for the rest as far as I know) you should be good to go.
