How do I go back to stock rom? I'm currently using Rei's LineageOS 14.1 of CodeOfHonor, with Meticulus' TWRP installed.
My original version is VNS-L31C636 Dual Sim. I have tried searching in the forum to no avail. All the instructions I've found are either too unclear or lacks more details. I don't want the risk of bricking my phone right now. I'm familiar with the dload method but I'm not sure enough of what files to flash etc.
I need your help, good sirs. Thank you.

Flash oeminfo L31C636 (install it from TWRP)
https://mega.nz/#!ZgFniLrC!S7eMwyApeaMLacEg2p_SIKxq5LuJQt6M5yQNm3kOMHE
Reboot to recovery and flash FullOTA-MF firmware Android 6 for your phone via dload. GL!
P.S.: in TWRP go to wipe - advanced , and check data format , it must be ext4, if you have f2fs, change it to ext4.

Firmware Finder
Is there any other way for going back to stock? I have a limited data plan and it would cost me so much data for downloading Marshmallow firmware and then OTA updating to Nougat.

Hi everyone my device is huawei p9 lite L31 and I installed the unofficial update, after that I found out some apps are missing and the TWRP aswell so I can't flash nothing.
I would like someone to tell me which TWRP I can install and how please.
Thank you!
TWRP for Nougat doesn't support mounting of the /data partition at the moment, so there is nothing you can do about it. You should have flashed the update + data in the first place. All you can do now is unlock the bootloader, flash the oeminfo for your device and downgrade via the 3 buttons method. Next time, in TWRP for MM (which does support /data mounting), you will flash update + data for Nougat which I still can't understand nobody does.

Btw when I wanted to update I flashed both files and I think that the update wasn't complete with all files and system apps already.
Something went wrong, then. You should be able to find oeminfos in some thread here on XDA, otherwise google is your friend. Just be careful what you flash because you MUST flash the correct one for your device and locale

My version is L31 Europe and I tried finding the right one but I can't find it, I found L31 version but it was Asia not Europe
Hey people,
I've updated to the unofficial Nougat leak here and ever since I can't get into the recovery. The ROM is OK but no matter what I do I can't get into the recovery. After "adb reboot recovery" I just get stuck in a boot loop and I must get into the upgrade utility and restart phone into the system from there. I've tried to flash few other recovery but nothing works. So far I'm fine with the system and I'd like to also try LineageOS but I have no way to flash the ROM. I have tried "Fastboot flash zip xx.zip" from the bootloader to flash LineageOS but it told me I don't have permissions so it was no good.
So do you folks here have any idea what I did wrong and how to make the recovery work again? I'm kind of learn from the tutorial guy so I'll post the sources I've been using to do the flash.
Unlocking bootloader and flashing new recovery
I've only used the unlock bootloader and flash twrp sections with their provided recovery. I've also tried to flash THIS recovery by Meticulus after the nougat update.
Flashing the ROM + used ROM
Used the old process because upgrade with system utility kept giving me errors.
Model number - VNS-L21
Also if this issue can't be (yet) fixed do you know any way to safely flash ROMs without recovery?
Thanks for any kind of help
You cannot flash any ROM in the nougat recovery, because it does not support /data mounting. Downgrade to MM and install the ROM you want from there.
@SALVO9
Ok, thank you for the reply. I'll probably try to downgrade and flash it afterwards to know which ROM suits me better. All I need to do is find the stock ROM copy it to the phone and restart with all buttons pushed right? Also, do you have any info about when there will be a nougat recovery that can mount /data?

No.
Flash proper OEMinfo first!
@Schlengge
Thanks for the advice. I did my research because I didn't know a thing about oeminfo and I have hit a wall since my phone is not rooted(Should have mentioned that earlier I know) and I'm supposed to replace custom.bin and then flash the img. So afterwards I searched how to root this nougat ROM and found nothing no app was working and everything I found was just using the phone's recovery which I can't access. Does anything come to mind? I will continue getting through the pages of google but I don't think I'll find anything useful.
EDIT> After some searching I found the official rollback package. I have yet to test it (downloading on slow connection atm) and I hope it will work.
Ok it's finally done and I'm back at old stock ROM(EMUI 4.1.1 VNS-L21C432B160) after hours of searching I gave up on the oeminfo or rooting the phone. I searched for the stock firmware and found some rollback packages on the Huawei site. I will post the links in there you even have instructions packed with the zip.
LINK1
LINK2
Download both start with the smaller one because it's flashing first and follow the instructions in the pdf. Worked for me so hope it also helps you.
Also as I found out just now this rollback also locks back your bootloader so be sure to unlock it back again with the code.
Hi,
I have a problem and hope you can help me. I did quite a bit of rooting and installing custom roms on other devices but this was my first try on a Huawei.
I wanted to install a custom rom. The phone was on Lollipop 5.0 (can't remember what firmware it was on). I installed TWRP, did a backup, looked up a rom online and got stuck on boot. So I restored my backup, did some more research and found out that it is possible to upgrade to Marshmallow with an official system update manually.
I then checked what firmware it was running: balongV100R001C50b311. I looked online for the stock recovery for that version, flashed it, then flashed a vendor upgrade to get away from the balong-version (was recommended in another forum in order to be able to upgrade to MM).
So now: I'm on Firmware version ALE-L21C432B564. The thing is, I'm still on Lollipop 5.0. As I understand it, B564 is a MM firmware. I flashed the recovery of B564 for manual updates (via Huawei update extractor), but I still can't do a local update (via dload) to B565 or B574. I tried to manually install the update to B564 again, hoping it would upgrade my Android version to MM, but no luck. It just gives me the error: 'Software install failed!'.
I couldn't find anything online about being on B564 and still running Lollipop. I hope some of you can help.
Thanks in advance

Factory reset doesn't change anything, unfortunately. Still on B564, Lollipop. The region is Europe.
One more thing that could be helpful: The device is unrooted

But you have TWRP. Download B596 update.zip (you will find a thread in "general" section), then restart to TWRP, go to wipe~advanced wipe~ tick Data, system, dalvik/art cache and cache (Be sure to have backup!) and click wipe. Then flash B596 update.zip that you have downloaded

Well, I flashed it via TWRP. Even though it aborted at "Writing radio" or something like this and gave me an unknown error, it seems to have worked.

<how-to unbrick>(TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK)
this method is useful for was-lx2j,and "can boot stock rom" but "Almost apps not found".
1 )back to your stock recovery using
Code:
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.ing
2 )In huawei firmware finder, open the proxy server
3 )follow the proxy server's instraction
(POINT:USE THE LINK TO YOUR LAST STOCK FIRMWARE'S FULLOTA CHANGELOG)
exemple:my stock firmware's version before flashing custom rom and bricking is WAS-LX2JC635B175,so I choose it
Code:
Instructions.
1. Enter a link to the changelog of firmware in the "Firmware for install" field and click "Set".
2. Click the button "Register for update". Registration takes place by IP address.
3. After registration, you need to change your DNS address to 81.177.139.39. Dont forget save your original dns settings for restore it later. (You can change it in network settings, router settings or setup like proxy without port in hisuite).
4. Go to Huawei Updater in phone or go to HiSuite and press check update. After that you should get update.
5. After install dont forget to reset the dns settings to the original state.
4 )reboot your p10lite to huawei erecovery (or boot system)
5 )press "download ~"and update your system(or do a system update)
6 )go to stock recovery and do a factory reset
7 )DONE! reboot to system and phone will successfully booting!!!!!!
any questions, reply to this therd or PM me
<oliginal OP:↓>
edit:MY PHONE WAS FULLY UNBRICKED!!!
THX FOR ALL ADVICE!!!
my p10 lite (WAS-LX2J) was bricked...
1)I flashed a lineage unofficial build.
2)I flashed vendor as dd command from twrp shell.
3)I tested the rom
4)I wanted to back to stock rom,so I flashed system.img,cust.img,boot.img from stock firmware using huawei update extractor and fastboot.
5)I wanted to flash vendor but fastboot says command not allowed.
6)reboot to twrp and flash stock vendor as dd,but it fails(partition broken)
now,my p10 lite bricked...
Anyone has solution or twrp backup(system, cust, vendor, boot)???
any answer is welcome....
sorry for my bad english
Can you still get into TWRP? If you go into wipe, advanced, if you select something there you have the option to fix or repair that file system. I would be guessing if I knew what you needed to select though. Any risk is down to you.
Maybe that will fix your error? I have to sometimes do this to the 'data' file system to be able to boot lineageOS.
If you do manage to restore stock filmware successfully please share your steps on the p10 lite forum.

This will restore your Indian variant Honor 7x back to stock, in case you have rooted or flashed TWRP before. After this you can get OTA updates and they will flash fine. If you want to manually flash OTA updates, you can continue to next video after watching this
I suggest you to watch it carefully and do same as I did to prevent any damages.

All the post I see about manually flashing Oreo say you CAN NOT return to emui 5. So I would believe no
**EDIT**
I see now on firmware finder there are roll-back to emui 5.1 full-ota packages.
right now only for
BND-AL00
BND-AL10
BND-TL10
but perhaps after flashing that full ota to get partition table back , then follow this method from here to get correct regional specific parts back.
All still untested at this point
Suppose if I install Other rom first like AOSP or RR?

Your other post show you are on Oreo. This method, files linked are Android nougat.
You need to replace twrp with stock recovery, then wipe cache from there. This should fix your bootloop ,caused by wipeimg cache in twrp. Unless there is more to the story than you tell.

the downgrade is tricky , if not done with full downgrade files. It is pretty much a half full update, then restore a backup. There are many things that could cause trouble with this.
Did you try to factory reset after failed OTA?
