I have failed security update on my A7 for Honk Kong market. I try and factory reset, but nothing. Update stop at 27%. I'm live in Europe, is my SIM card problem?
Anybody?
Maybe it's your SIM... You can try flashing with ODIN.
Here's the latest Hong Kong firmware for your device: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/116841/A7100ZHU1APL1_A7100ZZH1APL1_TGY/

Hi,
I updated my p7510 that i bought in canada (xac) with firmware xwkg7. I live in germany and wanted a european version of the fw.
I did the following:
-Update tab (pit, bootloader, csc, code) using P7510XXKFC
-Update tab (code) using P7510XWKG7
After the update recovery gave me strange error messages (/preload cannot be mounted and so on). However, I installed CWM, so I do not have these errors anymore.
I also did factory reset, wipe cache...
However, since I updated the firmware I cannot use "about tablet->software update->update" anymore. I always get the following error message:
"Failed to update firmware due to network or server problem. Try software update later (Setting->Software update->Update) or using PC software (Kies)"
Before the update this worked just fine (although no update could be found). I dont have network problems, as I can browse, chat etc.
Since the update Kies is also not showing my current firmware version on my tab.
I guess it has something todo with the country where I bought the tab (canada) and the rom that i used to update (europe version)?
Do you know or have ideas how I could fix this problem?
I dont like the feeling that somwthing is not working on my tab
Thanks!
Klaus
Try to reflash the stock recovery with odin and factory reset, that will recreate the needed data structure on the tab and try again.
Or maybe its because you mixed incompatible code/csc.
Start over.
I found the solution.
I described it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1280069
In short: csc files were completely missing. This caused all my trouble.
Hope this will help someone.
Klaus
I have the same problem.
So if I want to fix I have to install csc and PDA files at the same time?
Does that mean all my data will be erased?
Could I just use csc?
Where can I find these files?
Sorry for the 1000 questions!
I am currently on vacation and can not tell you the firmware versions, but at Sammy firmware I found two European rom versions. One had also a csc file that I flashed.
Flashing the original csc file with Odin will do a factory reset. You could also download a custom rom, extract the csc stuff and copy it to /system,if you want to avoid factory reset. You have the choice
But if you use an original PDA/code file and flash it with Odin, csc files are not included and must be added afterwards somehow!

I want to flash the Vodafone 5.0 Lolipop rom on my Unbranded PHN Galaxy S5 G900F because in the Netherlands only Vodafone and T-Mobile
released the Lolipop Rom, strange **** cause normally its otherwise.
Now I download the Rom from Sammobile and tried it flash a dosen time with Odin, but every time it Fails on the end of the process, each time I do a recovery with
KIES, and it put it back to KitKat PHN version.
I Tried serveral thing without success:
Enabled usb debug
Wiped Cache and Factory reset before flashing
Put out Simcard and microsd
Only time I get it boot to 5.0 after failed flash, is with flashing a bootloader for Germany afterwards and it boots with lollipop.
So my question is what is going wrong and how can I solve this, or is it not possible to flash branded rom to a unbranded one ?
I've soft-bricked my phone (ZE552KL) and after multiple failed attempts to fix bootloop by wiping Data, Cache and Dalvik, eventually wiped System too. So now there's nothing on there except for TWRP.
I've been trying to flash firmware from Asus but can only find the WW (Worldwide) version; when I tried flashing this I got an "updater error 7" message. The ZE552KL is not yet officially released here in Japan and I bought mine on import from Taiwan, so I think that's the reason for the failed flash. Therefore I think I need to download the TW (Taiwan) version. I can't find this anywhere, even on Asus' own Taiwan website...
Does anyone have an idea of where I might find this, or of whether I might be barking up the wrong tree? Thanks!
Try to flash different twrp. Don't use the one that provide in the oneclicktools
Hi,
I have a G935F of the S7 Edge from German T-Mobile which I have debranded using the latest Android 6.01 DBT-Version from SAMMobile and then updated to Android 7 in March (G935FXXU1DQB3).
Somehow I didn't receive and online updates so I have tried to flash the latest version with the latest updates which is G935FXXU1DQEF.
Strangely after flashing the update I was notified that there was an additional update available that I should install which downgraded automatically to the initial version G935FXXU1DQB3 again.
The only thing I was unsure was the CSC part of the firmware.
When I flashed the HOME_CSC_DBT file I got a query for a password at startup of the phone (I didn't configured it for a password before). Then flashing the CSC_DBT file the phone booted up normally.
Can someone explain how to get the latest update of Android 7 on my phone?
Cheers,
TheDemon
Hi, I purchased an S7 Edge duo G935FD that was from Nigeria (CSC code ECT). It was running on Android 6 when I booted so I upgraded to 7 through OTA and checked Knox which showed as 0x0. I live in the UK and am with EE network, so i decided to flash the EE stock firmware to enable OTA and VoLTE (see download link below). The EE CSC code (EVR) did not show in my available CSC on the original firmware.
I downloaded and flashed the second to most recent EE firmware, so i could test OTA. The EE firmware is for the single sim version of the phone but I have read on this forum that the single sim firmware can be flashed to the duo. I flashed BL, AP, CP, CSC using Odin. I didn’t select re-partition.
The phone booted fine but the knox count had tripped to 0x1. I received notification of an OTA update but the OTA update failed (it downloaded and the phone rebooted, but the file did not take for some reason and i received an error message).
I then re-flashed the firmware but this time I selected re-partition in Odin. Everything worked and the OTA was successful.
How did I trip knox? I don’t want to make the same mistake in the future. Was it because i didn’t re-partition the phone on my first flash?
Many thanks
