Hi,
I got an update to B170 for PLK UL00 Indian version. Android version remains at 5.0.2 but it added SOS functionality and a Join contact functionality among other. It also added a Pro Camera Mode. It is 119 MB in size
Sadly, the fragmentation of Honor 7's different firmwares remain. There is no Encrypt Phone functionality in this version (some PLK- L01 users have it, I guess) and neither is the hardware button to use call recording (it is present in Indian version of Lenovo K3 Note, so it cannot be illegal here).
Still no Screen Pinning, Scheduled Ultra Power mode or Scheduled on and Off (again some users of the Dev version of EMUI 3.1 have seen this on Android 5.1)
Any issues with b170 update?
Any issues with b170 update?
Such as Crash recording app after 5 sec.
Some lagging issues
Touch malfunction??

How about B222 then? Wasn't that a Genuine Huawei release? If it was then , how can the latest and greatest be named B512, shouldn't that be named something like B523?
Thinks for this information
I installed B512 yesterday, and seem to be liking it so far. You still cannot deactivate the option to hide the navigation bar, but then I don't see any reason why anyone would ever want to deactivate it. Huawei ID and Huawei Cloud were missing however I was able to port it from B511. I flashed SuperSU_v2.64_Pro.zip and xposed-v83-sdk23-arm.zip. Though the rom is named C636B512, I see my build number is C900B512. My model number had changed to JAZZ, but I changed it to HUAWEI MT7-L09 by editing the build prop. Maybe this has got something to do with my region. My phone is from middle east, and B512 was released for Asia. I am still waiting for a B514 for L09. Meanwhile all seems fine with B512. It seems very similar to B511, stable with marginal improvements in battery backup.
HELP!!
Hi! I want to donwgrade from B512 to B328, could you help me? Where do I get the rollback package from? I'm really struggling with my phone's battery
Thanks, Quito, EC
Hello everyone,
LG released another new version,
The version is V20i and it was released in Italy and Sweden (Hutchison)
Security patch is for 2016-09-01
Android version: 6.0
In order to download you need to copy the URL, open new tab, paste URL and hit ENTER.
You can safley flash this KDZ on any H815/L/T/P/TR/AR device
Here is the download link:
http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWB8NYW752WDA9F0338CBQ6/H81520i_00_0927.kdz
Enjoy
Which is different beetween v20i France and v20i UK?
The security patch is similar. I am still waiting for a kdz from EU with security patch for october.
Flashed this as an upgrade over v20e-SEA (my official version) via LGUP in an attempt to address constant freezing across uses and apps since updating from v20c-SEA about a month ago.
On first boot, after optimising apps, 19 random carrier bloatware apps started installing in the background (should be noted I am using Amaysim/Optus in Australia and I bought this Singaporean phone unlocked in Paraguay) and I receive the following error after every reboot:
Current version is not available for user. can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc [FFFFFF],subset[56]
Can't remove the bloatware either as I have no root, so going to have to find an alternate ROM I think.
EDIT: The bloat apps (which were never present before) seem to have to do with the fact this is a Singaporean phone. The apps it forced, some of which I can actually remove, the rest I can disable are:
2-in-1 LINE, Bookmate, Clipster, Dash, Deezer, GrabTaxi Driver, KyLinTV, M1 WiFi Roaming, mWallet, My M1, My SingTel, My StarHub, NewsLoop, Roam Manager, Store & Share, Toggle , TVBuddy, [email protected]

The warning about "can't find matched cust.." doesn't affect anything, you can still use that version if you want to.
About the bloatware: this version is branded (by Hutchison) and this is why there is bloatware installed. Try to uninstall / disable the bloatware or flash another version.
Good luck

Yeah I worked out the error was no big deal and the ROM performance has been excellent compared to the SEA version I was running before, no freezing at all yet, although the battery life seems a little worse but not terrible. I'll probably stick with this until an unbranded alternative becomes available.

Trying to update GRAL09-C470B210 from Android 5.0.1 and Emui 3.1 to Android 6 and Emui 4. For starters. If there's more to update even better. I've looked all over the threads and can't find my build and model and the update. I've looked on Huawei's website. I've done the phone Emui update search (no updates). Firmware Finder only has the GRA-L09 C470B210 OTA listed.
I'm new to updates so don't understand all the root and bootlog lingo.
Help!
C470 would indicate South-East Asia or Southern-Pacific (Aus/NZ) region - is this right? Also, is it Vodafone-branded by any chance?
If yes to both above, then Vodafone may not have released a Marshmallow (Android 6) update for the P8 in your area.
If you wanted, it is possible to manually update to a non-branded European firmware version (C432) if you like (see Steve039's post HERE dated 2016-Apr-24), & keep updating manually from then on, but I'm not sure how this is done safely (usually it's not recommended to update directly from one region's firmware to another, but it seems to work fine for some. Also, if it's a branded phone, then it usually also needs to be debranded before updating).
Once you are on a non-branded European firmware version (B200 or greater), you can update to the latest Marshmallow version, which is B393 at present: [Firmware] Huawei P8 GRA-L09 B393 27/02/17
It was purchased from eBay a few years ago as an International model. It is unbranded. I think it was either from a seller either in Hong Kong or Taiwan. I don't recall specifically. The hardware version is Grace UL VN1 if that makes any difference. It is unlocked. But I have never rooted it. I had updated it once, but did not keep track of what the actual update was for. I think it was to update to the B210 designation. Thank you for your help, I will look into the Euro conversion and see if it's something that I can do. I definitely want to update at least to Android 6.
No problem, I've done a search & can confirm for the Taiwanese version, B210 was the last official update released for the GRA-L09: http://consumer.huawei.com/tw/support/downloads/index.htm?keyword=GRA-L09
So, you should go for the European version if you are able to safely update to it. Make sure to make a restorable data backup (of texts, contacts, photos, etc as applicable) before attempting the update.
So, since my phone is unbranded, I should be able to switch to the European firmware, just above the B200, then make the jump all the way to the latest firmware?
And this would be done via a Local Update, correct?
I'm reading through everything in the meantime, thanks for all your help.
Yes, should be possible, but don't try anything for now until I (or someone else) can confirm it's safe to do & the procedure to follow.
The procedure may involve initially unlocking the bootloader & rooting your phone, but more on that later.
I am searching for the latest firmware for my P8. The newest one seem to be GRA-L09C109B379 from https://www.mobileheadlines.net/download-huawei-p8-firmware-files/
I currently use GRA-L09C02B405 from Vodafone. According to this page https://fordroid.com/huawei-mobile-firmware-region-code/ the C109 region code shows France, most probably Orange.
One thing bothers me. The firmware is around 10% smaller than these one that I had flashed before, they were 3.0 gigabyte in size or so, this one is 2.7 gigabyte only. Orange firmwares tend to have pretty much unnecessary apps un them, at least in Poland, so they should be larger than the rest of them or at least the sizes should be comparable, of course if my guess is right. Maybe there are some French regulations that forced Huawei to slim down the firmware (Facebook removed? Twitter?). I am really puzzled.
Is anyone who has flashed the firmware over C02 and/or C432 ones or can explain why the firmware is so small? Any thoughts?
Less bloat

Thank you very much for your explanation.
I will update the firmware of my P8 next week. Unfortunately, one cannot update it directly from Vodafone's C02B405, so I will have to downgradee firmware to European C432B39x first and update to French C109B379 next. I have tried to update it directly with no success.

Flash the update.zip with TWRP.
I installed the firmware three day ago and I have to say that it is great. Works very well. Almost no bloat from Orange (only Apps Orange - 116 kb in size and which can be easily switched off, moreover, it is not aggressive like the Vodafone bloat which pops up every reboot). Well done, Orange!
I have neither TWRP nor root in my P8. I had problems with both in B399 and I have not tried to install them since. Maybe I will try next week, however, I use Blokada.org so I feel no pressure.
Can this be flashed over C432B520 ? Strangely there is not new update for C432 and I'm stuck on security patch level from January 2018

Should be. If dload doesn't work, then try flashing the update.zip with TWRP.
