Hello everyone,
LG released another new version,
The version is V20i and it was released in Italy and Sweden (Hutchison)
Security patch is for 2016-09-01
Android version: 6.0
In order to download you need to copy the URL, open new tab, paste URL and hit ENTER.
You can safley flash this KDZ on any H815/L/T/P/TR/AR device
Here is the download link:
http://tool.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWB8NYW752WDA9F0338CBQ6/H81520i_00_0927.kdz
Enjoy
Which is different beetween v20i France and v20i UK?
The security patch is similar. I am still waiting for a kdz from EU with security patch for october.
Flashed this as an upgrade over v20e-SEA (my official version) via LGUP in an attempt to address constant freezing across uses and apps since updating from v20c-SEA about a month ago.
On first boot, after optimising apps, 19 random carrier bloatware apps started installing in the background (should be noted I am using Amaysim/Optus in Australia and I bought this Singaporean phone unlocked in Paraguay) and I receive the following error after every reboot:
Current version is not available for user. can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc [FFFFFF],subset[56]
Can't remove the bloatware either as I have no root, so going to have to find an alternate ROM I think.
EDIT: The bloat apps (which were never present before) seem to have to do with the fact this is a Singaporean phone. The apps it forced, some of which I can actually remove, the rest I can disable are:
2-in-1 LINE, Bookmate, Clipster, Dash, Deezer, GrabTaxi Driver, KyLinTV, M1 WiFi Roaming, mWallet, My M1, My SingTel, My StarHub, NewsLoop, Roam Manager, Store & Share, Toggle , TVBuddy, [email protected]

The warning about "can't find matched cust.." doesn't affect anything, you can still use that version if you want to.
About the bloatware: this version is branded (by Hutchison) and this is why there is bloatware installed. Try to uninstall / disable the bloatware or flash another version.
Good luck

Yeah I worked out the error was no big deal and the ROM performance has been excellent compared to the SEA version I was running before, no freezing at all yet, although the battery life seems a little worse but not terrible. I'll probably stick with this until an unbranded alternative becomes available.

My new LG came with D80210b-466-92 firmware and I flashed it with the UK T-Mobile version - also tried the Eur open version.
However, while the phone took the firmware upgrade, its still showing the old version of firmware i.e. D80210b-466-92. I've done the hard reset and the phone restarts in Chinese. Once I change to English its fine and all the Chinese apps are gone but its still showing the old firmware???
If I flash, say, the D80210a EUR firmware, the version changes to D80210a-466-92, not D80210a-EUR-xx as I would expect.
I have flashed about 8 firmwares (including Kitkat) and the last five digits (country code) never change but the first 7 always change as they should. The flashed firmware does seem to work OK, just the version does not update.
Any ideas?

Yeah, no one seems to know, its a real head scratcher.
466-92 is the Taiwanese country code AFAIK.
I don't think it affects the phone at all but I would like to know why it happens. Its the only seems to affect phones with the 466-92 firmware.
No ideas anyone?
answer
hy
i was having the same questions about the "466-92" code.
here is the catch...
the country/region code is encrypted in hardware of the phone, meaning the phone was build for that region and cannot be changed in any mode! - this answer i obtained from LG customer service.
still, you can put any of stock roms for your device (d802 in my case) and will work, all of them are original and compatible with device, working with same parameters (differences are in fact some apps in addition or in minus for some regions/countries that are bloatware anyway), so the basic is same for all (ex. 20a, 20b, 20c, 20h or 20d or other letters released)
NOTE 1. you can put any of stock rom for your device BUT only with a custom flashing program (ex. LG_flash_tool - which i use);
NOTE 2. if you wanna update or change your software with LG Mobile Support Tool (default and official program from LG to change/upgrade software), the phone will receive the software version for the region/country accordingly to THAT number/code from the end of the software name (D80220c-466-92 - in my case).
if you own a taiwanese version of d802 it will show the "466-92" all the time and with any version of software !
for questions or other details - contact me or reply
drink a beer for me
---------- Post added at 11:55 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:49 AM ----------
for country/region codes of your phone model search google, it's easy to find - and see what region your phone was made for
every region/country or group of countries have a version of software by default
ex. taiwan has the kitkat version 20c - d80220c-466-92, europe open has kk 20d - d80220d-eur-xx, and so on....
search fot them, there are plenty of forums and discussions
excuse my english
I'm currently using kitkat on my international LG G2 which was bought from Emirates so it has software version D80220a-AME-XX (got this on air like 2 months ago) but I want to install a fresh new copy of KitKat UK on it. Before downloading that hefty update file for the Kikat version of UK, I wanna know if the updater will allow me to update from Kitkat UAE to Kitkat UK without any problems or it will deny it for whatever reason(s)? (e.g. a reason such as that it allows only updates from an older version to a newer version but not from newer to newer...etc)
Thanks in advance!
The reason for trying to escape this version is that I issue some weird stuff with network coverage being faulty for some time and I realize this only by coincidence by trying to call any one on my list but I get a message like "network error" with any number I attempt to call so after I rebooted and restarted, the error disappeared & also got a bunch of text messages informing me of missed called from people tried to call during that error which I realized by coincidence!

The answer is "yes, it is possible, as long as you do it manually".
The official LG Updater will not flash the UK firmware to your device, there is no option to tell it which firmware to install or upgrade to. It picks the firmware according to your IMEI.
You have to follow this guide. Good luck.
Cheers.
Hi,
So here I am I thought to myself it would be good idea to test US firmware so when I found an update (it was 32.2.A.0.305) I changed to us version but ended up not having fingerprint at all, so I checked everything a bit and figured it out that there are apps and libs and permissions and etc... missing from the system, so I download another firmware (MEA) and run a whole difference process to find out what has been changed in the system, so I deodexed the whole system, add the missing things (but deodexed though it would be good to someone tell me what is this fidoclient thing and fpc?) and then reflashed it, didn't worked at first, but as I had been added libs I suspected that there must be a change at the kernel level so I flashed MEA kernel and things started to working, I had finger prints at lock screen and telegram (boy I'm so happy right now :victory
Conclusion (Results):
There have been changes and some apps were missing from app and priv-app, libs were missing from libs and libs64 and vendor, permissions were missing in etc/permissions, a shell was missing from bin, and kernel should be a non US version to work! and that's it!
What you need:
A US 32.2.A.0.305 firmware flashed on your phone already,
Some Recovery (TWRP Recommended)... so you can flash the recovery file I give you (or by root and put the files in there manually ofcourse)
Flashtool -> http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
This file which has system addons to flash in recovery
This file FOR E5803 ONLY which is a kernel only to flash in flashtool (or a non-US kernel which you can flash it anyway you like which is recommended to having your own kernel for flash)
Common sense (necessary)
Instructions:
Go to recovery (assuming you have one) and flash the finger-print-fix.zip (assuming you know how to flash a zip)
Turn off your phone (in TWRP recovery you can go to Reboot -> Turn off)
Go into the flashmode (or fastboot mode) and flash any NON_US kernel (custom stock kernels will work as well)
Reboot into system and viola! you have fingerprint working
Report if works!
Enjoy!
Press the Thanks :good: button
This works great for me! I'm using a new US Z5 Compact on 32.2.A.0.305, with TWRP 3 and AndroPlus kernel.
Working great for me too. US Z5 Compact on 32.2.A.0.305 with http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/customized-stock-kernel-32-2-0-305-6-0-1-t3477464 .

Yeah, I ended up switching to this kernel for the DRM fix to work on the US firmware.
What advantages are there to staying with the US firmware versus installing firmware from another country that already has the fingerprint scanner software?

I have flashed the LAM version (Latin America) of the E5803. I haven't noticed anything wildly different. I get fingerprint scanner with E5803 specific software. I haven't noticed any difference between call clarity or signal strength. All that with the added benifit of a locked bootloader and full original TA partition.
What version of the Latin firmware did you flash onto you E5803? I flashed the Customized UK V32.2.A.0.253 firmware on my E5803, and everything worked great. But a few days ago I let my phone do an over-the-air firmware update to V32.2.A.0.305. After it did so, the phone no longer detected my SIM. It continually displayed the "No SIM - No Service" message across the notification bar. Furthermore, when I would go to device settings to have it display the SIM information, it displayed error for all fields (or unknown, I forget which it was). I re-installed the Customized UK V32.2.A.0.253 firmware again and everything started working.
Just curious to see what version of the LA firmware you installed, I might try moving to that one if its some variant of V32.2.A.0.305.

In my previous post I was using the firmware for Z5803 Market: "Generic LAM", Operator: "Customized GEL". However, there was a notification that was slightly bothersome that required me to kill an app every time I rebooted. Therefore, I switched to Market: "Turkey", Operator: "Customized TR". I also switched because the Customized TR is actually the same Revison of software "R4C" as the "Customized US" software version. In-fact, I don't know if this is a placebo effect but the device doesn't seem to overheat as much now that I am on the "Customized TR" (Turkey) version.

I have not yet experienced an OTA update with this device yet so I cannot speak to what issues you might encounter using this method with OTA updates. XperiaFirm download and flash process isn't that horrible and since the updates are so infrequent (shame on Sony) it's almost a non-issue.

"Customized GEL" (Latin America Version): The version was 32.2.A.0.305 / R7C
"Customized TR" (Turkey Version): The version was 32.2.A.0.305 / R4C
Bottom Line
I live and work in the US only and haven't noticed any difference between the US version, Latin America version, or Turkey version with the exception of the fingerprint reader.
So you actually installed the E5803 firmware for Turkey and Latin American, and both enabled the fingerprint scanner?
I thought you had to install one of the E5823 International firmwares to enable the scanner (which is what I did).
If the above is correct, let me know. I may try to flash one of the E5803 firmwares.

Yes Turkey and Latin America both are Z5803 specific firmware and both allow the fingerprint scanner to work. I'm pretty sure any firmware except the US firmware has the fingerprint scanner enabled. From what I have read, Hewlett Packard (HP) holds a US patent that would be cost prohibitive for Sony to license in the US.
God Bless America.

FP working!
Are there any side-effects? Many phones once installed with a custom rom have bad things like that the sim card keeps disappearing

If its not letting you I don't think you can. Just try to get on PC and update through samsung kies.
You can also go on sammobile.com and download the latest software/firmware and ODIN it to your phone. Instructions are right on the website as well as the latest ODIN software.

I dont know what happened but when I check root again after two hours i got this:
so is it any better than the last MM update?
I checked and i dont have OTA marshmallow. .i dont have pc to try with samsung kies
i have installed it on my EUR phone and it flies as a first impression , security patch update august 2018 though. will report battery life later in the week
Can i change something in phone to get update? Why is happening this? Why i dont have update OTA? Does anyone have this problem and how is fixed? My big problem is that i dont have pc..
If your phone is rooted there may be a program that disables the update applications (com.samsung.sdm and com.samsung.sdmviewer if I remember correctly). What applications (other than stock) are on the phone, such as titanium backup, app quarantine, etc.
Now if someone rooted the phone to make it work with your phone network or other software you use this update may disable the phone and/or software requiring root.
Andrew
I dont have any app in phone that need root for working.
I found and install this SDM but i need a phone to connect with..
can you give ne a little more explanation of this app? What do i need to do when I install it?
I dont have anyone app in phone that need root to work.
Can you give me a litlle more explanation abot this SDM, i found and install it on phone but..i dont know how to use it
Was it not already on the phone? This app automatically checks for OTA updates and downloads them.
You can open settings, scroll all the way down to the 'system' section, click on 'system updates' and then select 'check for updates'. Just make sure you have mobile data connection of some kind. (Cell or Wifi).
SDM should be installed on the phone unless someone specifically removed it. Of course be careful what you download and install. Lots of malicious software out there... If you had the ability to see the 'system update' option in settings, you already had the com.samsung.sdm package and did not need to install anything.
Was this phone sold by your carrier/provider originally or is it one you bought online and was made to work with your carrier/provider?
It is from provider Tmobile.
I give my phone to service provider and pay 10€ and thay put 6.0.1 marshmallow to my phone.
When i get back to my home,I get info that I can update android.
I have download the update, 300mb but when i try to install it,i cant. I get some update error.
Does anyone know what is this update? And how to install it? I have download a couple of times but its always the same. Can not update.
I finally have Marshmallow 6.0.1, but I cant install this next update.

Hi, I have recently bought an XZ2 Premium imported from Hong Kong, which seems to be the last region to receive the Android Pie update. As Flashtool doesn't have an FSC for Android Pie, I am unable to flash a different region's firmware. Would anyone be able to provide a script so that I can flash my phone please?
I used newflasher, but I flashed it two times.
First time with newflasher excluding persist.sin file not to loose the Android Attest Key and then second time with Xperia Companion repair to be sure.

What I ended up doing was flashing a different region's version of Nougat with Flashtool, and then it updated to Pie automatically.
UK ROM for single-SIM devices: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904007092
UK ROM for dual-SIM devices: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904006585
I only used the UK ROM because it was the easiest one to find, but feel free to use whichever. The Hong Kong handsets are literally the only ones still waiting for Pie.

So: 1) I downloaded the UK firmware into the flashtool folder. 2) Start the flash without flagging any box related to the data wipe. Wait approximately 20 minutes. (note that the flashtool process stops with the writing "disconnected phone, connected in flash mode, and not with" flash terminated, disconnect the device). Restarted .... in 2 minutes I detected the update available to android pie. 3) Download and install the update of about 1.01GB. Everything works perfectly. Thx again

I'm sorry, but that's not a solution for me. This would involve completely resetting the device, starting it as if it were the first time, and after updating to the latest version of 9.0, re-reset to factory settings so that you can take the backup copy of Google, since the latest copies of Security are not compatible with previous versions. When you have 15 applications it can be simple, but I have 190, most with different passwords. That's why I want only the .fsc file, so I can change the version without losing data.

You don't have to reset the phone at all if you do it the way I did it. Resetting my phone isn't a solution for me either, which is why I didn't try the other suggestion made here of using newflasher.
