There are some ROMs cannot click into Developer Options and then the app stops responding.
These ROMs have been updated for several times but the problem still not be solved.
Here is one of the solutions for you:
1. Download the ROM you want.
2. Double click it and click into "system".
3. Copy "Build.prop" to desktop or another folder you prefer.
4. Open "Build.prop" you copied with "notepad.exe", find and delete the following words and then save the file:
"ro.frp.pst=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/config"
5. Replace the original file "Build.prop" with the one you revised just now.
6. Flash the new ROM as normal, finally you will find that you can go into Developer Options successfully !

Or you could just edit build.prop right from your devic without a root enabled file browser. And instead of deleting the string you can put a # between so#ro and reboot and the problem is solved and it's much simpler.

“Build Prop Editor” also needs to use after root.
It seems that no apps can edit build.prop without root.

I think it was a typo & he meant "with a root editor".

I've been searching the forums for this, and can only find info on T-Mobile, and changing the skin to the WM5...
when making a call or using the dialer, or in a call, that ugly off-color CINGULAR logo is in the upper left. Any way to remove this, or at least change it?
thanks
create a replacement dialer logo .gif that is
size: 105px x 23px
name: "Carrierlogo"
place in location: /windows folder and replace existing .gif file named "Carrierlogo"
after replacing: soft reset
you may want to save a copy of the oem "Carrierlogo" file... or not
i created a blank/transparent .gif because i don't need it to say anything but any image will appear so have fun
Dude..I can't copy it..because the image is in use...
I have attached the file I use. (I take NO credit for making the file, as I found it elsewhere).
Use the instructions above and copy it over the existing one in the \windows folder ... then soft reset.
larsjeparsje - make sure you don't have the phone dial pad window open.

interesting... i totally removed "Carrierlogo.gif" from \windows and:
1) no adverse affect. phone works fine with no image at all.
2) i do not see the carrier displayed as you state.
The problem is, I can't delete the Carrierlogo.gif...
i read in another post that it may related to rom version... search is your friend... sorry

Hi everyone,
I have seen a few people in search of a way to change the system font in MIUI to a preferred font of their choice. While browsing the Android Apps & Games section, I came across a thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874658) created by user martino2k6, who is also the developer of an app called 'Font Changer Lite' (paid version also available).
This app basically does what it says on the tin. After installing, it allows you to select from a range of compatible font formats which you place in the .fontchanger directory located in the root of your SD card. The only drawback is that it requires you to have the NAND unlocked (S-OFF), as it requires r/w access to the /system/fonts partition (full root) while the phone is powered on, just like MetaMorph does.
I think its a great app, and one that is definately worth purchasing.
Note: This app will also work with non-MIUI ROMs.
Picture of my home screen with slightly modified Ubuntu font:

You dont really need an app for this. just follow these simple instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9782857&postcount=3805
If you're s-offed and have root explorer then you can use the above method. If youre s-on and/or don't have root explorer then you can push the files by adb instead

So is the question " what is the command to remove information from the databases " ?
Assuming that you have already tried and met resistance... what is stopping you from have a "delete" button that actually ADDS a null value to to the key, name, and setting ?
I've never made it into a button like you are saying, but having null values replace the undesired has always worked well for me,
Hope that is helpful.

Your image doesn't show up so I assume its a list view where you will view all entries. In this case in the list view xml put a delete button, and in the activity you have to implement a custom adapter that listens for the button click (Google "custom simplecursoradapter"), and to delete the file it would be dbHelper.delete(Table, id, null) instead of dbHelper.add or dbHelper.query.
hope this helps
