[APP] MIUI Compatible System Font Changer - Desire Themes and Apps

Hi everyone,
I have seen a few people in search of a way to change the system font in MIUI to a preferred font of their choice. While browsing the Android Apps & Games section, I came across a thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874658) created by user martino2k6, who is also the developer of an app called 'Font Changer Lite' (paid version also available).
This app basically does what it says on the tin. After installing, it allows you to select from a range of compatible font formats which you place in the .fontchanger directory located in the root of your SD card. The only drawback is that it requires you to have the NAND unlocked (S-OFF), as it requires r/w access to the /system/fonts partition (full root) while the phone is powered on, just like MetaMorph does.
I think its a great app, and one that is definately worth purchasing.
Note: This app will also work with non-MIUI ROMs.

You dont really need an app for this. just follow these simple instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9782857&postcount=3805
If you're s-offed and have root explorer then you can use the above method. If youre s-on and/or don't have root explorer then you can push the files by adb instead

Uninstall stock apps with Titanium.. 3.70??

Is anyone having a problems uninstalling stock apps from the stock 3.70 with titanium pro? ? When I click on uninstall in the batch it shows up removed from the list, but still shows in the app drawer even after a reboot. I didn't have this problem with stock 3.30 rom. And yes I'm rooted.Thanks!

same here, then my market stopped working.....maybe wait for an update to TItanium Backup?
Download the version of busybox that tib recommends and don't use batch uninstall. Uninstall one by one.
I never have problems with tib uninstalling anything.
Had the same issue with Titanium after the 3.70 update.
I used root explorer to just move the apps out of the /system/app folder and that took care of it.
Still curious as to why Titanium can't do it anymore
Lots of folks are having this issue on 3.70.x roms. Use root explorer.
For the one that said use it's version of busybox, tried that. Tried Chuck Norris mode too, still nada.
Yeh .. I downloaded busybox from Titanium. Rebooted the phone and finally got it to delete.. weird..??

Then there is something wrong with your rom installs.
I built a rom myself based off the 3.70 update. I also have hw003. I have removed everything sprint related (nova, nav, tv, etc) including sense completely using nothing but tib.
EDIT: For good measure here's a shot of my software build and my app drawer. Excuse the colors, I was calibrating my colors at the time I took the screenshots.

Same issue here. Use root explorer to delete files either in system or in data. Just make sure you reboot if you delete files from data because they won't be you reflected in the launcher right away

[Q] What's installed & how do I update it?

Hello
My girlfriend borrowed her dads HD2, and now it stopped working. She talked to him and most likely it requires an update of Android.
I'm usually pretty tech-savvy, but the language spoken on this forum is beyond my comprehension.
So, I have a HD2 with both win & Android installed. To boot into Android i need to go into windows and press two files on the SD-card: "CLRCAD" & "HARET".
The files look like this in Windows (pc):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Her dad mentioned Boxmax 6.5, so I found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100560
The files I downloaded from there looks pretty similar, aside from a few additions on the phone.
Downloaded the SD-one, but now i'm lost.
How do I update the phone? Just overwrite the files with the new ones or clean install? If it's a clean install, how do i do it? Do i need to backup something?
Backup all files on the SD card to a safe place (pc).
Delete folder Android on the card.
Copy the Android folder from the archive you downloaded.
Pop the SD card back into HD2, and start Android from winMo (clrcad, haret) or better yet install the exceller autoboot.
Thanks alot, sounds easy enough
When i pop the things back on the SD-card from the backup-folder, I still need to install all the apps and widgets again right?
Edit: Oh, and what about all her messages? Are they stored on the phone?

[bootanimation]tweaked ics

Stock is too bright and shows too much color banding
Adjusted the gamma on the images. Made darker and colors little more vibrant

Flash threw CWR
Alternate install methods [root required]
Use the bootanimation.zip below
Place in data/local folder then reboot

thanks and thanks again.
I felt the same way. Thank you very much, its perfect.
Yes its good and its work thanks
For those of you on MIUI like me, I'll provide the steps to install it.
1. Download the boot-file.zip containing the "bootanimation" file.
2. Extract the file and place it in system/bin, replacing the old boot animation file (make sure there is no extension at the end, just bootanimation)
3. Give it the permissions using Root Explorer or equivalent: rwx-rx-rx (rwxrxrx)
4. Download ics_tweaked.mtz and place it in sdcard/MIUI/themes
5. Reboot, and them go Settings>Themes>Customize>Boot Animation> The new animation should be there.
6. Select it, Reboot, and Enjoy!
NOTE. If it isn't there, look at all the boot animations that are there, if there is one with no preview, select that one. That should be one containing the new animation.
*DISCLAIMER* This method worked for me and results may vary.
Works flawlessly, thanks.
Great boot animation and very easy to install.
Sent from my Huawei u8800 using XDA
Will this work on the Rezound I would really like this one looks nice.
When start booting animation little bit laging, but later everything ok. Best boot animation for me.
Thanks for this great animation, works like a charm

Hello guys,
By far, for me this is one of the most simplest ways of rooting this phone. Lets get started
BTW All Downloads Below
1. Download KingRoot

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Extract ZIP package with app desired or use a desktop, then place files onto phone
3. install the APK, and ignore any warning pop-ups
4.Open the app upon completion of app
5. You will be presented with the main screen saying no root avaliable, CLICK ON TRY TO ROOT
6. App will now start executing root
*May be slow so give it time
*Make sure to allow blocked apps if presented with a pop-up
7.If all went well you will be presented with a ROOT SUCCESSFUL screen OR phone will restart and you will have root
***At this point DO NOT request or run any apps that require root until the device is restarted.
8. Enjoy Root!
-If root is not accessible upon restarting, go into KingUser Su and click on REPAIR ROOT
-I do not know how to replace KingUser with SuperSU Sorry!
Goodluck!

Install apps over ADB
Install apks on any Android device running any Android version over ADB!
Hi all,
From a long time i was fiddling around with a problem of installing/downloading apps after installing a new ROM.
Thus i came up with an idea of a Batch File to install all of your apks from your system
to your phone in a few tips and taps. Hah! Found my solution .
How does it look?
To see some screenshots, please click below.
Tested on
The script had been tested on Nexus 5x, Nexus 5, Moto G4 but should work on any android device.
Downloads
Google Drive - Here is the link to Drive.
Link Below - You can also find the file below.
Installation instructions
Prerequisites
1. Platform Tools for Windows (ADB),
2. APK files,
3. Target phone connected to PC and
4. A cup of COFFEE or TEA as you like it.
Process
1. Download it from the attachments below or from the drive link above or here.
2. Copy the file to the ADB folder.
3. Execute the file.
4. You can either place your apps in "D:\Apps" folder. (Sllloooowwwww.....)
ORChange the folder location in batch file itself. (Requires some Coding Skills)
ORBatch file will ask you to change the location, if required. (Easy Installation, Pick Me!)
Troubleshooting
I don't think it's needed. But even then if you get any problem do write. I'll be happy to resolve it.
Enjoy, and also don't forget to write anything (Good, Bad or Thanks etc.)!
thank you so much if works like a charm!
Been locking for something similar.
Is it possible to take that script to next level, and make it as, a list of apps, and for them to be downloaded on the phone. I mean give order through ADB for each apps step by step, instead of folder, to be downloaded.
how to add online option like google drive folder in to the script
