I have 6p since last year 6p is a fantastic phablet , it's been a great experience until yesterday , I was chatting with someone and suddenly everything freezes and then it restarts and stuck on Android logo and restarts again ... And this continues ,so somewhere I read that it because of Android n so I flash latest MARSHMALLOW (MTC20L) factory image and luckily it BOOTS up ,but The real problem is when every I flash any version of android N It starts DOING BOOTLOOP ,, I wanted ANDROID N , so someone know any way to flash it without bootloop ,, help !!!
First off, you could have provided a lot more detail about exactly how (and what) you flashed without shouting. Your post for help comes off like a panicked rant. What is your current configuration... stock rom? rooted? stock kernel? stock recovery? encrypted? My advice would be to stop flashing your device for now. If you haven't done so already, confirm that your bootloader is unlocked. Next, make full partition backups including EFS, and store them somewhere off the phone. Now you can start reading on how to flash correctly with the least amount of risk.
Sorry for bad English
My 6p's bootloader is unlocked and I was using it with latest stock Android 7.1.1 with ElementalX since last month then years suddenly it freezes and stuck on boot loops then I flash Android 6.0 latest and it works fine on it ,and doesn't goes under boot loop but when ever I flash Android 7 it stuck on bootloops ,
I have a full TWRP backup of my android developer preview 4 ,I also restored it but still same bootloop issues with android 7 Roms , I also tried latest factory image of Dec,16 android 7.1.1 ,but still no luck
Once again, short on details.... how did you "try" the factory image? Since you already had 7.1.1 running well for the last month, you could have just done a full factory reset from stock recovery (not TWRP) to rule out personal apps and your setup. Since you have some backups and are unlocked, use ADB to first fastboot format userdata and cache. Then fastboot flash the full NMF26F image- not OTA. Let the phone stabilize first and test it before installing all your applications.

hey guys, It seems that i cant get my phone out of boot loop. This ocurred last night while i was switching roms. I went from PA jan11 build downgrading to the beta 8 build. I was able to downgrade successfully, but when i tried to upgrade to the latest experimental feb1 build I then got bootloops. Now when i tried to flash back to the older build it still wouldnt work.. My phone was at very low battery at the time(under 10%) through the whole process. I charged my phone over night and when i tried flashing PA again it still doesnt work. I am still able to enter recovery and fastboot. I tried to go complete stock through fastboot(and erased all data through fastboot) and now im able to see the Nexus X logo. This is where im stuck. I also upgraded twrp to latest 2.4.1.0 and it told me my data was encrypted. I fixed this by wiping the entire system through twrp. Then I went back into fastboot reflashed the rom again and im still stuck here with a Nexus logo. Any help?
EDIT: NVM I fixed it, installing cfx through twrp seemed to work. please close this
Hi Guys,
I'm Kinda new about making a new thread, so if anything's wrong let me know.
Just last evening my nexus 6p (on Android 7.0 official) got into a boot loop from a normal state. It just boots & right after when the white google logo transforms into 4 round object, it just reboots (it takes about 3-5 secs). I can access the boot loader but was unable to access to recovery from there as that takes it to bootloop again. I've tried flashing it, but since i had already updated to Nougat official version & the official image for 6p is yet to come, i tried with some earlier version of Marshmallow. but that failed as well. can it be that i need to select the right version of factory image as i really do not remember my old marshmallow versions anymore.
It seems i'm out of options right now. :crying:
Any advice guys??
TIA
Found this on Nexus 6p help forum. Haven't tried it though so I'm unable to confirm if it works or not.

@sirluigi, this EXACT thing just happened to me ..
stock nougat, only bootloader unlocked ((( and since I've got no access to recovery and no Nougat image, I don't know what to do next
minicoop7, unfortunately, for that guide I need to go into recovery mode

Have you tried using fastboot to temp boot to recovery?
fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2-1-angler.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.409s]
booting...
OKAY [ 0.680s]
finished. total time: 1.097s

same behavior, nothing but a bootloop
I'm dowloading an official MM image, just to get the stock recovery and see if I can temp boot in it
edit: not possible, I even tried to flash twrp, I tried flashing stock recovery from MTC20F.. tried to temp boot in both, all with no luck and with phone constantly alternating between the "Your device cannot be checked for corruption" screen and the white Google screen with the open lock.

Guys its very simple, flash the stock mtc20f image first. After that boot it, it wont work but don't worry. Onece it bootloops go into bootloader and fastboot flash twrp 3.0.2-0. once thats done boot into twrp recovery. Onece in twrp make a backup of the image you just flashed that don't work. Once thats done mount system in recovery. Once mounted plug phone into computer and open the twrp folder you will see on your internal wich will have the backup that you just made. Transfer an old working backup into that folder that way twrp will recognize that backup. Once the backup is in the folder you shoukd see 2 backups in there, your new one that doesn't boot and your old one that does work wich you just put into the twrp folder. Once done go to restore and restore the backup of the working rom you just put in there, make sure to check off all on restore. Once done reboot system and it should boot. This will only work if you have a backup of an old working rom.

OMG I finally got mine to work
I'll note down the exact steps , most of which may or may not be relevant
1) Flashed MTC20F using TWRP 3.0.2-1
2) Booted into recovery and wiped everything and the partitions
- Add - Booted back into twrp 3.0.2-1 and then swiped to allow modifications
3) Then fastboot flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0
4) Restored my backup ( except recovery)
5) Still got stuck in the google screen.
Now the next parts are a bit weird
6) Booted into TWRP, flashed vendor.img from pure nexus rom
7) wiped everything except internal storage
8) Flashed vendor.img, pure nexus rom and gapps and then flashed vendor.img again
9) Rebooted and it worked
Let me know if it worked for you guys or if you need any more help

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me.
I believe you should be fine with just trying to flash an earlier recovery version using fastboot... if you're trying to save your data and then factory flash MM and then restore your data to the phone, you should be able to use fastboot pull and then copy them back once you've got a working device by simple copy from windows.

Can you elaborate the steps pls? also have you had an earlier back up of your phone which i don't have?
Has anyone been able to get this to work without being able to get into TWRP? I can't get into recovery whether it is a temp boot to it, or fastboot flash either version..
I have compiled a list of the 20+ methods from various users in THIS thread. It's the second post.
Stuck in a bootloop still @tr4nqui1i7y but will try your methods as well... Fingers crossed..
So I do not if this may help anyone who as run into this issue but still may want to retrieve their data before formating their data or factory resetting. While running TWRP 3.0.3 and flashing the latest 7.1.1 files for angler. I would sometimes be able to boot into the recovery like 3/10 tries ( from the bootloader menu). My data was encrypted and it woul freeze constantly when trying to decrypt soo i decided once I finally got it to boot again in the recovery menu(TWRP after hours mind you) I let the phone stay idle for a few mins should the cpu would cool down that my battery percentage would drop around 41% and the tried to decrypt data which went tru successfully. I retrieve what I Could and it froze during a process of a nandroid backup and started bootlooping again. I believe the battery percentage may be linked to the early shutdown issues that many user were reported having and the bootloop of death we are experiencing. Hopefully this info may help someone else.
I Installed the unofficial cynogenmod 14 with gapps , and i was enjoying the new rom. After using the rom for 8-10 hours , the mobile froze , so i had to restart the phone . After the phone started , it started to lag , and while it was lagging it restarted on its own, and was stuck on boot logo.
I waited for a long time for it to boot up , but it was stuck there , so i tried flashing the unofficial cm14 again as it was in the internal storage , but the result was same no matter how many times i try , and in between numerous OS flash attempts , i accidentally wiped the INTERNAL STORAGE
Getting the PC to recognize the phone , and also for the ADB and FASTBOOT to work properly was way too much of a pain , but i was able to get everything correct so ADB and FASTBOOT were working .
AND THAT'S HOW MY JOURNEY BEGAN.
I HAVE FLASHED ALL THE OTA ROMS , flashed the official cynogenmods , flashed the unofficial cm14 and cm 14.1 , tried flashing thru MSM8994DownloadTool , all of the Roms i FLASHED were successful even the MSM8994DownloadTool was SUCCESFULLY FLASHED
BUT MY PHONE STILL DOESN'T BOOTS UP IN SYSTEM , IT'S STILL STUCK AT THE ONEPLUS BOOT LOGO
I LIVE IN BANGLADESH (ASIA) , after i failed so many times and given up all hope , i went to the mobile shops for repairing the HALF DEAD SOUL , and its really sad that even they were not able to make it LIVE AGAIN
ANY HELP TOWARDS MY SITUATION WILL BE REALLY REALLY APPRECIATED
It maybe cause of old modem. try restoring to stock(i.e oos 3.x) or flash latest modem then latest recovery and Rom.

Are you following the right steps to flash rom? if you don't rom won't boot. also try resetting your phone to stock, it might help you.

Yes , but it still doesn't work . No errors are given while flashing
Hi guys,
so, my LG G5 has just been sent in for RMA, meaning I need a phone while I wait for that, and I have a nexus 4, however, it is stuck in a bootloop. I can access fastboot and adb, and have tried flashing Android 4.4.4 and 5.1.1, with 5.1.1 reaching "Android is starting, loading apps" as the final screen and so far with 4.4.4, just on the google colours booting animation.
I've also tried clearing cache partition, and factory resets. Currently I am using googles flash_all script, but would it be worth flashboot flash recovery etc. etc.
Could anyone suggest how I go about things to fix this?
Thanks, Conn
update
So, as of yet, I have got it to boot into 4.2.2, however, it isn't reading a brand new sim card. also updating to 4.3 through software update causes bootloop, and 4.2.2 seems to be the only working android version. I tried installing custom recovery (twrp) and a custom os (lineage 14.1) and that bootlooped.
Thanks, Conn
EDIT: Also, the IMEI is not being displayed.. From what I've read, the phone is probably stuffed?
It the OS can't read the IMEI, yeah sounds like something is borked.
Are you running flashall wiping everything, or did you take out hte -w switch to leave personal data? I've had issues with my 4 (that led to my buying a refurb 5) that trying to flash but keeping personal data failed, I had to do a full open hose reflash.

Hi folks,
I got my nephews LG Nexus 4 because it didn't boot anymore. I installed TWRP first (after unlocking BL) to flash LOS. In TWRP I first noticed, that the internal Storage was assigned 0 MB. I reformated / wiped everything and got the regular size (about 14GB). I installed LOS through TWRP without erros. But when I turned the device on nothing happened, it stucks while booting (but animation is working). I also tried different stock-OS from Google with the same behavior. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!
Have you tried flashing stock 4.2?
Yes, I tried 4.2.2 (oldest one) as well as 5.1.1 (newest).
Have you tried using Skipsoft toolkit? Follow the procedure #9 Download/Extract/Flash Google Factory Stock Image. Make sure wipe out boot and data.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...olkit-skipsoft-android-toolkit-nexus-t1995688
Have you waited enough? First boots always tooks longer no matter stock or custom rom. You should be patient and wait at least a good 10 minutes.
