here I have a problem with the touch of my legend!
I will explain:
Last night I was bored I decided to disassemble my story legend to clean of the sudden I also remove the touch screen! after I start pumping, the mobile works well on touch and everything works! the problem is that after about ten minutes the Touch does not work anymore! I did a reboot and make sure it works but klk minute after the problem becomes: (!
you think it's a software prob: I am under Cyanogen 7.1.0RC
or hardware prob! that are not properly align a panel with the screen can cause this kind of prob knowing that when the tile work is not precise shifting at least that's what I think!

You dissassembled it and afterwards occurs a touch screen issue ... What do you personally think: hardware- or software-problem?
hello people, I lve had my nexus 4 for a while now, never experienced any problems with it on 4.3 neither with 4.4.2, just the overheath thing when browsing websites and such, but recently ive been getting this unresponsive touch in the middle that's not letting me send messages or organize the apps on my main page, I'll explain a little below.
When I slide my finger from top to bottom, just in the middle of the screen my touch seem to go slower and then it like makes a jump and won't recognize the touch in one part, that happens all along the middle of the screen is not just a blind spot, when I write a message and try to send it with the keyboard open, it won't let me touch the "send" bottom I have to minimize the keyboard to be able to send it because the bottom is just in the area where my touchscreen is not working correctly.
I downloaded multi touch tester to verify my touches and I found out that if I make a touch in the middle where I have my issue, the multi touch is recognizing 2 touches at the same time, I'll upload the picture to show how is it recognizing my touches in that specific area.
I'm actually using stock nexus 4 with stock KitKat 4.4.2, I haven't root or anything ever, is the first time I have issues with this phone in the touchscreen, I've also been experiencing some touchscreen freeze where I can't touch anything because it won't work and I have to lock screen and unlock it again for it to start working again.
what I have already done?
I have restart my.phone a couple of time and won't work
i have factory reset it and won't work
I have full charge it with USB and laptop and won't work
and that's about it, I'm sure is a software issues because my phone hasn't drop or anything it just started random and sometimes the phone start to work correctly with no issues but most of the time its not working properly and is frustrating.

I am facing the same problem. You got any fix for this? Please help....
If you've already did a factory reset I doubt it's a software issue. However you can use one of the guides here explaining how to flash a clean stock factory image. This is the last solution that will eliminate any software sided failure.

I am also facing the exact same problem for the past two days, My phone is in perfect condition, not dropped or anything like that.
I think I did some google play updates which where pending for long time.... Do not know what is causing this.
Anyway have started to uninstall the app updates manually, lets see.
A flashing will rule out all software issues. Check whether the touchscreen is working. Enable developer options, then select "Show pointer touches" and the other one just below it (too lazy to check up and tell you what it is; pardon me )
If you're getting normal touch response over the entire screen, then you're facing a software issue. Anything else implies a hardware issue; this may or may not fix itself (somehow; gremlins.)
In either case, let us know what happens. Cheers!

I'm having the exact same issue & tried what you just said. Unfortunately, I'm not getting touch response in one center row of the screen, for that entire row, no resppnse at all.
Is this the problem with touch screen?

Say goodbye to that display. I have to get my display replaced too (clumsy fingers grumblegrumble) and the LG guys say the display unit costs 3750 rupees to replace... Get it done ASAP.

If it is a software issue try re-flashing the stock factory image might as well work

If you got the screen replaced from the warranty, tell them about this issue.
If you fix it by yourself/third -party services, then nothing can be done.
I don't know if anybody else have this problem.... I have almost a week of this...when I Play pubg en ARENA mode (evoground or others) ... the touch fail to detect my finger to Shoot... I shoot with my left index finger, and sometimes I press for about 1 or 2 seconds and my player NOT SHOOT.... that only happen in ARENA MODE!! ... I invert the phone to discard this part of the touch have problems but the problem persist.... I have the left pad attachment and when I play with that I don't have shoot problems....yesterday I make a test installing a triger in the touch and I HAVE NOT PROBLEMS!!....but when I play with only my finger the problem happen again...and is only when I face other oponnent..... I enter in TRAINING mode and never happen the problem.... I play in classic and no problems (I think 1 time maybe happen in several hours of play)....but in arena happen about 40% of the times that I face another opponent....I really worried that maybe is a touch screen problem but (why inverting the phone the problem persist?? and why when I installed a trigger I don't have this problem).... the phone have 2 months of use and I buy it new..... yesterday I remove the screen protector film and nothing ...... Is this a bug of pubg or the phone....????
Today I test firing with my left THUMB and I have no fails..... but this way I can't move at the same time that I shoot.... maybe the phone fail to detect the 2 movements of my pubg and the finger at the same time ? (but why when I install a push external trigger that press the screen the game no have fails)???..... please somebody else that I have this problem...I have the bs2 128gb 8gb ram global version with the SKYW20062300S00MQ1 AND JOYUI 11 20.06.23 .... if anyone have this version can make a test to see if happen too...so I can be more relax because is not my touch screen.....? Hey! So i got a Huawei P8 (on the phone was GRA-L09 on the back) phone from my family in another country. All was okey, all was working fast and the notification slide was working until i wanted to install some apps from my country (sweden) - i could not install local apps (f.ex. bank app). I downloaded update firmware (didn't make a backup - typicall me), run it...
Finally i could install all local apps i needed but i couldn't slide the upper notification bar... after a long tests and meny downloaded updates ..it looks like notification slide works sometimes, but most of the time it does not. To make the notification slide work i need to flip screen to the side and from the side it works fine.
Conclusion - i turned on the touch dot that i could see where i touch - i got shifted touch screen a few milimeters down, so the touch doesn't even come that much up on the screen (even if my screen works perfectly).
Is there a way to move the touch back up?

What can i do to shift it back or just make it work? Can't find any firmware or anything else regarding the phone.
On the photo this is how high i can get, but it stops under the bar...

PS. The second picture is when it is stuck and at that point it works fine. Then it stops working again...
