Volte Support - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Saw many tutorials and stuff out there. Each says that the device supports Volte but not enabled by software. Are there any roms that support volte properly with dual sim functionality. For the reliance JIO. I tried but most of them have dual sim broken.

Nooooooo
In future please search threads before posting a question

Good question...
Look basically RJio is using different band that other carrier's use others (from different countries not India)
All devs are from out of India so probably they are trying hard + India didn't receive the September security patch whereas all other countries did..
So my predictions that it'll now directly give us nougat by early jan wid volte+ latest security patch... (7.0 or 7.1.1)

I also have a UAE csc Note 4 SM-910C . It shows 4G but the LTE sign never shows up only 4G appear and have to use the JioJoin App which has a reliability of sadly 50% only. If any solutions please respond.

nothing yet, jio4gvoice is the only way out for now.. btw 4g is lte and seeing either of the signs is fine. the thing is we need VoLTE sign to get calling working without use of jio4gvoice app.

Volte rom for samsung s4 i9505

friends any stable Rom with Volte suppoet for Samsung S4 i9505 for india jio..
There are none, because the I9505 doesn't have LTE band 40, which Jio requires for VOLTE. The I9505 only has bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 20, so you're stuck using the Jio app.
Not necessarily. Take a look at the general section where I have oulined how to get Jio working on i9505. I have been using it for the last 20 odd days without any issue. And last week I have given the unit to somone who travels more than me to check and it has been used on a daily basis without any issue.
However no reply has been posted to my thread so I do not know if anyone tried or not. I assume the population of i9505 in India is very low besides users may have moved to other phones as well.
It is basically use of different stock, root and apply VoLTE fix.
Forgot to mention that the unit in use is based on Qualcomm processor.
The presence of a user-made patch does not mean a ROM with VOLTE support exists. The OP asked for a ROM, and there is none.

Sorry for my belated post The answer to ROM with VoLTE is an "Yes" and a "No". Please refer to
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-stock-rom-volte-support-jio-t3578337
I may have jumped on the term "Jio" as it was more related to the actual use than a real VoLTE ROM. Regret inconvenience caused by posting a patch work info or method.

Hi, I am currently trying to find a way to enable VoLTE and wifi calling/text on my unlocked S7 Active. This issue is that this phone is exclusive to AT&T and I'm using it on T-Mobile. I stumbled across this thread and saw that you had success with this and the unlocked S7 Edge. Would the methods you used also work for the unlocked S7 Active running on Tmo?
Apologies if I'm in the wrong area of the site. I'm a complete noob to thIs community and the rooting process itself. I have made one post so far asking some questions regarding this topic over in the S7 Active root section. Received a very kind and thorough response (still need to follow up and thank him!)
He did say there are ways to enable VoLTE, but I'd have to research the topic to figure it out. And that's how I ended up here
Thanks so much. Very grateful for any insight.

Thank you guys so much for the direction! I checked out both links. The last one (17-18 pages) looks quite useful, but just after reading the first page, it's very clear that I need to start from the beginning. It was like trying to read a foreign language.
It would probably be safer for me to try to find a beginner's intro to rooting and basic tutorial first.
Hey, you guys should set up a mentor program! I know I would gladly fork over a reasonable donation for some one-on-one schooling
Edit: I have bookmarked the advised links too. Will be returning to them as I become more versed in all this.

S7 edge Oreo update pulled?

I never recieved an update to oreo o.t.a having an unlocked s7 edge. I spoke to vodafone who is my network provider who was first to roll out the update and told me the update has been pulled due to there being so many issues with the update. Bit annoyed now as some people seem to have updated with no problems at all and it looks like some of us may not see oreo at all on our devices.

This really looks ridiculous for me, to be honest. My dad has A5 2017 and he received Oreo last week. It's really a shame that flagship S7/S7 edge is facing this poor software update policy. I also saw that Note 8 users still haven't received Oreo. On Samsung Turkey webiste Oreo is listed in testing phase and date of release is set for May 18. I wouldn't be surprised if they delay it again.
They test Oreo on cheaper devices to get less complains. And less financial risk if the update goes wrong.
Also, usually the people that buy flagship devices usually "upgrade" selling those to second hand market. That's why the manufacturers don't update those devices so quickly - to push the "high rollers" to buy the new phones that have the newest bells and whistles.
Yes its been pulled back from the server for now. Can't say how much more delay is there for the worldwide rollout, but chances are near the end of may it will start rolling out again alongwith may security patch globally.
Sent from my S7 Edge using XDA Labs
I myself received the android 8.0 update (sm gt935f - brazil) and honestly i regreted that i did the update.
Now im having a lot of lag and drop in internet connection, both wifi and 4g connection. A lot of times my facebook, instagram and whatsapp are too slow. Youtube also lags a lot while trying to watch videos.
Reallt dont know what to do
And now it will be delayed again, shamesung what happen in the world, from april to mid april, then may to mid may,and now what? From may to forever waiting? Sad life
Thats so weird.Ive updated to oreo through ota almost 2 weeks ago and I had zero problems so far.The phone is smoother faster and I really enjoy the samsung experience ui.Battery life seems to be the same aa nougat though
Could i asked where you are based? Also what network carrier are you on?
on many video, s7 oreo make s7 fly like a unicorn, maybe they purposely delay so u might in the end fall into the trap of buying new phone? LOL

You said that you receveid that, but the G935FXXU2ERD5 is the Oreo from UK: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU2ERD5/217550/

I thought you were the first to receveid the unbranded Oreo ROM for S7 here in Brazil .

Yes, you received the ROM from UK.
It is expected that you have no problem, except the VOLTE that is specified region (you have to have a CSC from the region where the phone will be used).
There is no CSC from Brazil on 8.x yet and I do not know if previous CSC are compatible.

Add VOLTE Support For UAE 4G LTE Phone ?

Hi,
I own a Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro 2017, Model SM-J530F, which I bought from UAE. The specs on the box shows it as a 4G LTE device. I am quite confirm it does not have VOLTE in the settings. Now that I am using it in INDIA with Reliance JIo services, I badly need VOLTE functionality on this phone to make it possible to make & receive calls. Is there any way to add VOLTE functionality to it ? Any solutions from our developers ? Please don't ask for flashing a custom rom!
Thanks in advance!
( Though I can install JioCare app & use it but the app is not available on Wifi, works only on Jio LTE ( Jio Mobile Data ) & forces to keep the wifi turned off permanently for the functionality. Actually Jio provides 4G VOLTE only connection & it is not backward compatible with a 4G LTE only device. For that Jio uses VOLTE layer from within their JioCare app to support a 4G LTE device )
This phone is still quite smart! Please help!
Looking into your device model, it seems like there was no India release. In situations like this I would recommend flashing the INS version of stock firmware but since it doesn't exist for this model, I honestly think your only option is to root and edit the CSC features file yourself which can be annoying and quite honestly very long process.
You could also attempt to just flash another region and hope that it has VoLTE included. I don't know if this would even work though.

Thanks for the quick response! I really appreciate it but I was just thinking if there is any other way ? Jio uses VOLTE layer from within their JioCare app!
Hi,
If I understand it right, I have to use CSC file & not the HOME_CSC file to see any changes that I desire, right ?
Thanks in advance!
