Should I be concerned ? Is it a malware? I gave it root permission once. Now I have denied it. Do I have to clean flash another ROM now? Would it be same to use titanium backup with this ROM or should I clean flash?
PS: I am using trupure ROM with xposed!
The Android zygote is basically the parent process (vm) all processes are forked off of and libraries linked to at init (boot). No idea why it'd request root, it should already be on any Android system. Sounds like something isn't working correctly to me. Maybe an issue related to Xposed.

Hi, guys i look for an answer......i rooted my htc hero, changed rom with last modaco, but when i tried to use some programs it gives me an error concerning root.
For example if i use screenshot program it notices me that i need to be rooted, how is it ossible if i'm already rooted?
Sorry for my english if i made some errors
"rooted" means that you can get root permissions if you want them (like running a program that needs those permission). but for security reasons you don't have this permissions always. so when something want these permissions this dialog shows up and wants your "OK" to give root permissions to this program. thats normal.
There is an app in the menu that is named "root" or something, this is where you set your permission rules, if I remember correctly
Thanx guys.....now the program I needed works.....dunno why yet, but the important is that it works
My N7 is rooted and encrypted (manually, no toolkit) with stock rom.
I left it unattended for a couple of days, and when I flip open the cover, there's a process called "myls" asking for root permission. I denied it twice, and hasn't been asked since.
I went to terminal and tried to find the process/file named "myls" and found nothing. Nothing out of ordinary shows up on installed apps list. Search for myls+android yields nothing relevant.
How do I find the app/process responsible for this root request? Is this something I should worry about?
Thanks!

bump
I have the same process now requesting root access on my galaxy nexus phone. I am rooted and running codename android ROM. I'm also curious to know what this myls process is that would like root access...
Hi. I was curious too about this process who popped up today asking for su after i was playing with scripts etc. Then i searched on active processes from terminal and noticed that myls proc is used by ScriptManager app ?. I'm using that app from two years and today is the first time i see myls proc. Maybe that's depending on what script we use with the SM's widget becouse myls popped when i run the "flush.sh" script of V6 Supercharger from the widget. You can try yourself: type su on terminal, then type ps and check the aplication that has the same USER as mysl. On my case is app_91 same as SM. Hope that helps ?
Bump?
Yeah, this requested access after I rebooted my CM10 device. My only root apps are:
Titanium Backup
AdAway
SetCPU
Pimp My ROM
PDroid 2.0
Script Manager
Root Explorer
Android Firewall
GOO Manager
Lucky Patcher (for an irritating license nag -I pay for my apps)
BusyBox Pro
SuperSU (paid version)
I run v6 and KAK scripts, too but have been doing that for ages. It's the randomness of it that I find suspect. Any further thoughts in this would be quite helpful as this seems to be the only discussion about it on the internets, period.
hi guys
Im using a rooted S5 - android 5.0.
Anyone knows any working/fully functional permission manager? i.e. today i downloaded one expense manager app and it asked for permission to access my SMS. I would like to deny that. Any known app I can choose which permission I should allow and which i should deny n a particular app?
Thanks
Install Xposed framework then install AppOpsXposed module.
im using a deodexed custom rom (BOD3) after installing xposed sdk got stuck in bootloop. i had to upload uninstaller to my external card and after that i was able to access my phone. I flashed sdk21.
I'm using SlimLP v5.1.1 and xposed-v75-sdk22-arm.zip with no problems.
Hi,
I am very new to Systemless root and it seems littlebit confusing for me.
I have few problems. I am using Magisk Systemless ROOT on my 1+5 with Android 7.1.1
I already know that because of non-editable /system i can't delete or upgrade system apps. But my bigger problem is for example with F***dom app. I know that warez is not supported here so I am asking only for educational purposes (or whatever). F***dom not working at all. My pay card still showing (Fallout Shelter, Fruit Ninja, etc.). Even L***y Pat***r not work well. I am still getting errors when trying to patch Fallout or any other apps. One of the least problem is with busybox. Why I cant install busybox to /system/bin but to /system/xbin yes?
Is there any way how to make system root work like nornal root? I really want use my old apps. Not just Freedom, but for example Titanium Backup not working too.
Titanium Backup definitely works with systemless root. When you go into the Magisk Manager app does it actually show that you are rooted? When you click on the Safety Net check in Magisk Manager what message do you get?
I am using Magisk systemless root and it works.
So you're probably not rooted at all. And I did not even had to install busybox either.

I am rooted. Safety Net is ok when Hide Root setting is selected in Magisk. Apps normally get root access but as I said some of them not work properly. Busybox throw error when installing to /system/bin
Titanium Backup not recover system apps or data.
And what about freedom?
There's actually a dedicated support thread on XDA for Magisk. Since your issue seems to be very Magisk specific rather than a OP5 issue you would probably have more success posting your question there.
Just a reminder to all. No mentions of lucky patcher or freedom are allowed in the forums as they are warez/malware apps.

That app is also banned on xda as are all Warez apps.
I highly recommend you delete this post and go somewhere else before more aggressive devs start waking up
XDA's tag line is "XDA Developers was founded by developers, for developers. " and you come in here waving your middle finger around saying developers' time and energy is worthless and your deserve it all for fee, and your entitled ass comes here asking for more help exploiting devs.
Help specific to LP, Freedom, and all other exploitive apps is forbidden here. #GoAway
And all that aside, your question has been asked 1000x by legit users. Spending even 10-15 seconds researching the problem would yield a result. #LMGTFY
As part of corporate access, I had to install MobileIron on my phone. MobileIron requires that the phone be unrooted and encrypted. Hence I reverted my rooted phone to a Stock Oxygen OS ROM with encrypted data partition.
One side effect of this is that MobileIron has locked manual installation of any apps manually.
One workaround that I could think of is to install a apk installer app (such as apkpure) as priv-app using a temporary boot into twrp. But I am unable to figure out how to install the APKPure app as a system privileged app. I have tried the following but none of that worked:
1. Copy the apk to /system/system/priv-app when booted in twrp.
2. Install the app as a user app and then move /app/data/apkpure directory to /system/system/priv-app when booted in twrp.
Is there any way to achieve this?

What I am currently doing is that whenever I need to install an apk manually, I disable MobileIron, install the required apps and then go thru the re-registration of MobileIron.
