So before TWRP was working like a charm and now i have found out it doesn't want to work. I power off my galaxy s4, press Vol Up + Home + Power, it shows the galaxy s4 screen and then The writing in the top left corner (Kernel not seandroid enforcing, recovery booting) The screen goes black and then it just doesn't show the TWRP screen logo, i let go of the buttons the phone vibrates and then it justs boots to android. I tried flashing twrp 3.0.2-0.img through Flashify, it said flashing successful but it does the same thing (black screen, no twrp logo then boots into android.)
Android is working completely fine though, Stock 5.0.1.
Help will be appreciated.
UPDATE : Flashing TWRP 2.8 did the trick

I tried mobile odin to re flash my already rooted and cyanogen'd note 3 back to a root ed stock rom,
After hitting the go button it reset and now will only reset into reboot recovery mode.
I have since tried odin connected to a pc and this shows it as added so I think it is connected ok, I have a rom and that shows up as fine and when I click start it reports the SetuConnection message and just sits there.
The problem I have is that it won't reboot into download mode no matter what i try.
Additionally, when I boot I see the recovery reboot message for a second and the Samsung logo and then the screen goes black and stays that way. Bth the capacitive buttons vibrate when you touch them but do nothing else and the volume seems to change the volume up and down. Still with the black screen though
Anyone come across this or have any ideas.

it could be your recovery image is broken somehow. make sure your phone is off. try download latest custom recovery. i recommend either twrp or philz touch cwm. while phone is off, press home + power + volume down. when you see a warning screen, press volume up. this will go to download mode. flash new recovery via odin.
i had issues before with custom recovery causing recovery boot loop. the only confirm working recovery for me is cwm philz touch and twrp.
X-post from the noobies thread
While trying to install TWRP while I already had CWM, my phone is now in a boot loop at the Recovery Booting screen where "Recovery Booting" is at the top left in blue. I had been trying to install the GPE lollipop rom that was made for the spring galaxy s4. When I flashed TWRP from the app, it said it was successful. However, when it went to reboot it recovery it went into the boot loop. All help is appreciated, Thank You!
Edit: It now just stays at the Samsung Logo screen with the blue "Recovery Booting" at the top left.

It might be a little late but I had the same issue while attempting to mess with recoveries at work (no computer access). I managed to get my phone to boot by pulling the battery out and holding down the power, home, and volume down buttons while booting. When it gives you the custom OS warning press volume down to boot normally again. Hope this helps someone!
Now my problem is trying to get one recovery to boot when I get home. Wish me luck!
Hi all, I need help with my (new) phone.
I installed TWRP + new rom (Pie). Everyting was working fine.
Then I downloaded SuperSu, flashed it in TWRP and rebooted.
The phone now shows Samsung logo during boot and the blue led is blinking endlessly.
I tried to reach TWRP via Vol down + Bixby key + Power key. Phone will restart but instead TWRP it gives me a big vibration and continues to Samsung logo + blue light.
I can reach download mode.
How should I proceed?
SOLVED:
Odin -> TWRP and then reflashing the rom did the trick !!
A bit of history on this device (Galaxy a3 2017 A320FL)
I rooted the phone, it got FRP locked so later I tried Lineage OS. Didn't like it so I went back to Stock firmware.
It's working fine but when accessing the recovery mode via power off + volume up + home it boots to the "installing system update" screen that shortly after turns into a "no command" screen. Long pressing those three buttons again I get into the real recovery mode.
I already tried flashing the stock recovery image from here https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:1680/firmware:20213/download/recovery.tar.md5/landing but the recovery mode keeps acting weirdly.
Any suggestions?
After flashing twrp-3.1.1-0-i9500.img.tar using odin the phone reboots but when I press the Volume up + home + power keys it gets stuck in the logo screen with blue text on top saying "recovery booting..." I've left the phone for 10 minutes so far and it still hasn't booted, powering it on works fine, the only way I have found to boot into recovery is if I power the phone normally and then do adb reboot recovery but that just boots into normal recovery mode and not TWRP. I've searched everywhere online and I can't find a solution, help!
