I was flashing an .Tar file(complete BTU)
Half during the flash the cable moved a little bit(USB still connect) but I heard the sound off disconnecting...
So the phone has a half flash and doesn't take new Odin flash.
I am now using Kies, phone goes directly in a kind of recovery screen and Kies is trying to connect (then I can use emergency flash)
But the problem is: it is still in connecting.....
Anybody got an idea?

If download mode is the only thing you have, open Odin and connect your phone. You should see green "READY" square. I think this is the only way you can check if your port is fine. Any other suggestions?

You also didn't bother to post your question in "General". Familiarize yourself with the rules.

If you can still go to download mode , you have to flash the original rom that your mobile came with .
Yes make sure you are in ODIN/Download mode on the tablet.
Just in case any of you didn't see in the other ICS thread (though by now there are probably more than just a handful), I encountered a failure upgrading via Mobile ODIN pro on my ROOTED stock HC.
Luckily I was able to get to Download mode and I used Odin and it flashed fine. Just make sure the re-partition setting is not ticked.
Use mobile Odin, it root ics rom after u flash it)
OH MY GOD! WTF IS THIS STILL DOING IN DEVELOPMENT!?

I've the same problem! Odin just wont finish his installation :S I tryed everythin even flash hc back. But that won't finish at all! Maybe it's the driver? I don't installed kies but it does load in odin! On this moment I'm gonna try to install the driver's and try it again!
if you are plugged into a USB hub try plugging right into your computer. that was my issue with failed flashing. drove me nuts for hours.
Hi all,
I have an I9505 from O2 and I was in Odin mid-flash throwing on Philz Touch when the cable got disconnected (kids) and now I'm getting an error on my phone I can't seem to undo. It's showing me a screen as soon as it begins to boot that reads "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery modde in Kies and try again.". I've tried running Kies as it suggests and my computer doesn't even register the phone connecting to begin with let alone Kies noticing the connection. I've tried to go into recovery mode (vol up + power) but it just gives me the same message. Please tell me I didn't brick this thing... is there any voodoo I can do to fix this? Thanks for any help you can give.

pull out your battery for a minute, re-insert it, boot into download mode, reflash recovery

you meant that you can not boot in odin mode?
if you can, what odin says when flashing?

Can you still get in download mode? You may need to flash the whole firmware again then flash the recovery after. I've had the same problem on an s2 in the past with my son pulling the cable halfway through

Would a USB jig work?
You have to boot to download mode and install full firmware through Odin.
You can download your carriers firmware from Sammobile.com

Strike that, it worked! I've been at this for hours with no luck but I guess the phone gods are now in my favour. Unfortunately when I try to flash with Odin, I get failure messages and my phone stays in the Downloading part. Any advise?

Aslong as odin says fail or pass and you definitely do not have a progress bar on your phone after odin shows the result then you will be safe to unplug amd reboot the phone manually. If it passes on odin it usually reboots itself

Hi guys,
I own a Galaxy Note 4 (N910H) and have rooted it before without any problem.
Long story short I wanted to install a custom rom and on the instruction says I need to reset my device to factory before I actually install it (because mine is 4.4.4).
I successfully reset it back to factory settings, however when I tried to install the rom an error occured.
When my device restarted it goes into a boot loop.
So I go into the recovery mode and delete the caches and what not (even selecting the reset to factory setting again).
When my device restart it is stuck at the boot sreen (samsung galaxy blablabla) and it DOESNT LOOP, it just stuck there and I am unable to go into recovery mode.
I tried to reflash it using odin (i can access the downloading mode) up to no avail.
My device is detected by odin (com:x) but when I pressed start it stuck at setup connection and after a while I got the Fail message.
Now I am at a loss and have no idea what else to do. Tried kies, doesnt work either.
Kies doesnt even recognize the connection to my phone.
Any help would be appreciated.
NB: I'm a newb at this so please bear with me (and yes I kind of ****ed up)
Thanks

If I'm not mistaken you have Kies installed? If that is the case I would recommend you uninstall it. Then manually download the Samsung USB drivers
http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
Reboot your PC just to be sure.
Then make sure your device isn't connected to the charger or computer and remove the battery and after 10 seconds reinsert the battery and manually boot into Download Mode (Home + Volume Down while holding the power button.)
Then connect your phone to the your PC and run Odin as Admin and try to flash the firmware.
I would also recommend that the firmware you are flashing is the correct one and is not corrupted.
You can check the firmware from Sammobile and after the download check the MD5Sum and then extract the zip file to get the firmware file.
Good luck and report back.

If you are using Odin version 3.09 or above it's AP, otherwise it's PDA.

Thanks Battlehero! now I finally get my galaxy note back to work again.
Now let's say if I want to Root my device again, is it as simple as installing CWM or TWRP and then install a custom rom?

If you want to root your current rom then install a custom recovery (TWRP) recommended then flash SuperSU Current release: https://download.chainfire.eu/740/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip
You can always hit the 'Thanks Button' to show your appreciation. It's nice to see you fixed your issue.

Hello!I need urgent help.I tried to install TWRP on my friend's phone using an app called Rashr. After it is installed it says that I need to reboot my device. So I did that. After rebooting it went straight to Download mode.It just stuck there.I have tried everything, from using odin (It won't detect my friend's phone),to using ADB (It also won't detect my friend's).I really has to fix his phone ASAP.Thanks!
(Note #1: Sorry for my terrible English )
(Note #2:I have used ADB before to fix my phone (Core Prime) when it was stuck in bootloop)
There's no way to get it working without Odin.
So try everything you can find online to make the PC detect the phone.
After that you should try flashing a bootloader (the same one that's already on the phone if possible). I'm almost certain that it will make the phone boot.
And then you can also proceed to flash the recovery with Odin.
And maybe this a silly question, but did you install the Samsung USB drivers?
Download the latest stock ROM from sammobile. Use the original Samsung USB cable and a USB 2.0 to flash the phone.
I like using Odin 3.07 as it has always been very stable for me: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=...168421&usg=AFQjCNEdxqAS5QWImOPDJboTA_V3D5S9eA
