Bootloop x727 - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

I have successfully unlocked bootloader on 20s and then tried to flash a third-party rom from Cydras, which didn't work out. So in TWRP i chose to restore EUI from backup. After that the phone powers up and everthing works fine until the color-changing EUI logo appears... and that's where it gets stuck, not going beyond this point ever.
I tried to push an image to /sdcard/ but it said the directory is not there? That was when ADB/Fastboot was still able to see the device, it isn't any longer.
This means I can't get to TWRP and/or push a ROM to the device.
I can enter Fastboot Mode by pressing the Vol and Power buttons but this is no help as ADB/Fastboot doesn't see the device in this mode either.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and good karma to everyone

Anyone?
Would appreciate input! Thanks!

Without ADB or fastboot, I can't think of anything else you can do. If the phone is going into the fastboot mode, you need to figure out why your computer is not connecting to it.

Thank you for your note!
It's going into Fastboot mode by pressing Vol+/Power. It also goes into stock recovery but that one does nothing - it does wipe it seems but the only other option is to install update - which clearly isn't on my phone.
What could be the reasons my computer stopped seeing the device?

Strange: If I put the phone in Fastboot mode, my PC identifies it and starts showing Kedacom USB Device - Android Bootloader Interface in Devices.
Fastboot does actually see it and can perform a few commands. ADB, on the other hand, does NOT see it. What options do I have? I could push TWRP image to the phone. Is there anything else I could do now?
Please help! And thanks!

If you have access to fastboot, either flash or boot TWRP image and see from TWRP if the old backup is still accessible.

Thank you. Did just that but there's nothing there to recover, unfortunately. And I thought about installing system via Fastboot but can't find a system image (.img) anywhere
Please help!
Thanks!

Boot into TWRP and while in TWRP, see if the ADB works.
If ADB works, then push one of the TWRP backup zip file to the data memory and the recover from TWRP.

see guide on leeco . re fourms

If you can enter Fastboot mode this will work. You can flash Fastboot rom (stock Eui 5.8.17S China), then you can start all over from there. It will erase everything on the phone so do backup everything. You will need to redo-unlock bootloader and re-install TWRP recovery.
Link for the Fastboot rom with how to flash it here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73913013&postcount=240
After flash if it show storage free space not correct install TWRP and go to Wipe > Format data, it should fix it.

[Q] hours for searching for nothing help plz!

I ****ed up my phone today I did full wipe (formatted internal storage too, so i can't flash any rom in recovery because there is nothing) and now i've been searching hours someone who can help me? In TWRP i can't mount anything to my pc (i do not know why?) AND adb says me "devices not found" or something like that so can't push any zip-file to my phone via adb sideload. Is there any way to reapir my phone? can someone help me? Thanks alot!
There was a bug in a bunch of recent twrp releases that causes adb to not work in recovery. Patched versions have been made, try finding one for your device.
Added:
If you can't find a patched version, flash cwm or philz recovery with fastboot, adb is working on both of those. You just need a rrcovery image and do
"fastboot flash recovery <recovery-file>.img"
In fastboot mode.
let's try it out!

See the edit to my first response. Fastboot is done in fastboot mode, not recovery, so you should be good. You just need the basic .img file of cwm or philz recovery.
If you are on win 7 try this:
http://adbdriver.com/downloads/
(Adb driver installer)
Run it when you turn adb sideload on in G2 and connect it to PC.
If it fails you still can go buy somewhere USB OTG cable (few bucks) and flash ROM from usb stick like me.
It appears that accessing fastboot pn the lg g2 is not so simple. Sorta like samsung phone deal, where a manufacturer download is used instead. From what I gather, recovery might need to be wiped to access fastboot, which you could do from terminal in twrp, but thats risky. Apparently, a lot of people have gotten stuck in fastboot mode. Best bet would be to reflash stock firmware through lg download mode. Also see this thread for a method to return to stock firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Once you are back to stock, just reroot and flash revovery, etc.
downloadmode should still work. go back to any kdz for your version

Need help recovering my nexus 6p!

Hi,
So I seemed to have messed up my nexus 6p. I was flashing a custom rom and it would boot so i decided to flash the vendor.img first and then re-flashed the rom as it stated in the instructions for the rom. Now i am stuck as the nexus wont boot up still. I am still able to boot into recovery - currently at TWRP 3.0.0.
I was trying to use fastboot to recover the nexus to stock but it seems like i am not able to boot into fastboot mode. i see the green android screen with the writing at the bottom which states that the bootloader is unlocked but i never get the Fastboot mode written on it on the top no matter how many times i reboot the device. I even tried toolkits but nothing seemed to work.
Also, in TWRP i am not able to see any files or my backups. its like everything just disappeared from my device. I am not able to connect the device to the computer when im in twrp either, so i cant put older roms that worked.
Any suggestions/help is much appreciated!
thanks
LA.
When you go into your recovery and connect the phone to the computer, does it read on the computer MTP?
When you go into twrp, do you have something unmounted by default?
I don't know about the fastboot, but this is weird, Have you tried to access the bootloader from twrp?

ok, so when in recovery and i connect the phone, the computer doesnt read.
when im in twrp it asks me for a password but i hit next and choose the option to enable changes to the file system. no drives seem to be unmounted but i dont see my downloads folder or any of the folders i used to see before.
and i am able to access the bootloader but not get into fastboot mode to use adb, also when in bootloader mode, my phone doesnt get recognized with my computer. And yes full sdk is installed with latest updated drivers.
thanks for your response.

Well, this is good, if twrp is asking you for a password, it means that something is encrypted. Also, I had an issue with TWRP 3.0 before I updated to the latest version.

Ok so i looked at the reddit thread and its saying the phone is encrypted which is why its asking for a password but i dont remember encrypting the phone. i always used my fingerprint to unlock the device. any thoughts as to what the password could be? :S
thanks for all your help!
Why don't you just go to Heisenberg's guide in the general section and flash the latest stock images from Google via Fastboot and start from there? This way you'll at least have a working phone to boot into. From there you can reflash custom recovery and even systemless root. This is what I have always done when the phone wouldn't boot, or I had a backup handy and flashed that. When in trouble just flash latest images.

Bootloader mode is fastboot mode, it never actually says fastboot mode on the screen, so if you're in the bootloader screen you're in fastboot mode and fastboot commands will work. Follow the instructions in my guide to return to stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928
Sounds like you need to update you drivers if your computer is not recognizing it

it's because you don't have the NEWEST version of TWRP.
Even the simplest of searches would've come up with this answer.
If your phone stuck at bootloop just go to recovery and wipe cache it will work.

So this should be marked "Solved?"
It should be marked as "when in trouble revert to Heisenberg's guide."

Reboot loop, can't access Recovery

This is the whole situation:
I have Pure Nexus installed on my 6P, running great for months. Suddenly yesterday it rebooted while I was using it and sticking in a bootloop. "No problem", I thought, and wanted to reboot into recovery - but nope, can't access it anymore. So I tried to reflash the recovery when I got home, but I only get errorors
When using the command adb devices the line just stays blank. The same with fastboot commands, besides "Fastboot devices"
After messing around a couple hours with the drivers and so on, I managed to somehow get the fastboot command working again. But no sign for the ADB commands, probably because I didn't turn on USB-debugging.
I am now at the point, where I have reflashed Stock Android with the Nexus Root Toolkit and managed to get back into stock android recovery, but still can't get TWRP to boot. I didn't want to delete my personal data, but I saw no other way and formatted /data in stock recovery. But the problem with the bootloop is still there.
It's not the classic bootloop, it boots as far as the Google Logo, then shuts itself down and begins again. I have now reached the point where I have to say, that the hardware might be damaged too. I'd love to somehow get access to the internal storage at least, but I can't without a working ADB.
Reinstalled TWRP with every available version, none of them worked. I am able to access stock Android recovery, but adb commands aren't working from here anyway.
Is there an option to fix the recovery mode? If I could get this working, the rest would be easy for me.
Edit: The reboot looks like in this Link. Only difference is, my device doesn't even the reach the dots.

If you can get fastboot commands to work, just flash the factory image per Heisenberg's guide. Toolkits are more trouble than help. Return it to fresh stock with a full wipe and start fresh.

That vid you linked is an N5 with a stuck power button. It'll do the same thing and reboot recovery as well. It could be your issue but if it is it'll be the first stuck power button I've heard of on a 6P.
When you access fastboot does it stay on in fastboot or does it reboot from it?

You contradict yourself a bit so it is difficult to help you. You got to stock recovery but you can't boot into TWRP? If you have stock recovery, of course you can't boot into TWRP. You have wiped your data but you still want to preserve your data ... Huh?
Your phone isn't working so just nuke and pave with the command line and avoid toolkits. They are sometimes part of the problem.

When stock recovery is installed, I am from time to time able to access it (most of the times it just ends in a bootloop)
If I flash TWRP I can't access it, no matter how often I try
I have factory reset my phone, the stuff on the internal is still there and I want to reach this, as I have my chats, SMS, university stuff and so on backed up on the internal storage
I am trying everything - all the regular adb methods, toolkits, every driver, nothing is working
Sorry if you don't understand my situation, but I am in a pinch right now
You said you have fastboot working?
Download the factory image zip file. Extract it. Extract the zip file from inside that as well. Move the img files to your platform-tools folder.
Reboot your phone to the bootloader. Hold volume down+power from a powered off state.
Plug into PC, open command line from your platform-tools folder.
Type, fastboot devices
Does it show your serial number? If so, start flashing the following images;
Bootloader-angler-angler-xx.xx.img, radio-angler-angler-xx.xx.img, vendor.img, system.img, boot.img, recovery.img
Flash with fastboot.
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio-angler-angler-xx.xx.img
(Substitute "xx.xx" for the version number shown in the img files you unpacked)
Reboot bootloader
Code:
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Once you do that, boot to stock recovery and cache wipe. Reboot and you're stock. If you're still not able to boot after that post back.
Edit: You said you wanted to avoid flashing factory images to keep internal storage in tact. Do it this way and you can have your cake and eat it too.
Edit2: wrong, see my latest reply

Try flashing TWRP 3.0.2-3 or boot into twrp through fastboot. Using
fastboot boot recovery <twrp filename>.img
I think booting to twrp using this command will work.
And here's the link to Twrp 3.0.2-3 , as its not available on Official Twrp page.
https://idlekernel.com/twrp/nexus/twrp-3.0.2-3-angler.img
I had the same problem with my 5X, nothing worked I tried every possible solution described above and more. Nothing. I figured out that there was nothing to loose and followed directions from YouTube videos (links below) and it worked. Used heat gun at max temp for about 2 mins from each side. It's been about 12 hours since then, phone works flawlessly. Here are the links:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD25mdrgAys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqh2x-TGnCY
Be careful handling the motherboard after you heat the first side, let it cool first before you start working on the second side. The same with the second side do not pick it up until it's cool.
5X, Pure Nexus Rom 7.1.2 June 5th security update, Elemental X Kernel,
has anyone found solution to this?????

X720 bricked, kind of ;)

Hi. Looks like I fkced my phone. Was using Darkobas twrp, flashed this room and it boot-looped at the beginning (phone was turning on and off on the "Coolpad" screen). I can enter the recovery however can't transfer roms into the card. While pushing big files with ADB push (it takes few minutes) it randomly stops responding/hangs in the middle of a transfer. Tried multiple times and it stops randomly ( I've wiped/formatted whole storage )
I managed to flash another recovery 3.1.0.0 but still I need to push some rom to see if I can flash it. After PC reboot it stopped detecting my phone...
Fastboot is not working, power + vol down goes to black screen / turning off the phone.
Tool_all_in_one does not detect my phone. In fact I do not see it in Windows Device Manager. Tried different usb 3/2 ports
Commands in console like fastboot oem device info gives:
< waiting for any device >
adb reboot bootloader gives:
adb server version (39) doesn't match this client (36); killing...
* daemon started successfully *
error: no devices/emulators found
It's done guys?
Update: somehow managed to restore connection, so phone is visible in Device Manager as "Android Composite ADB Interface" .
Managed to push AICP ROM with adb but can't see it on sdcard. Usually, it was in the main directory, now nothing is there.
Adb sideload? It still seems to me like youre having connection issues w/the pc. Tried rebooting to fastboot from twrp menu?
1 - Enter Twrp Recovery
2 - Wipe -> Format Data then type "yes". This command gonna wipe your internal storage behold.
3 - After this reboot recovery and go to mount then enable mtp.
4 - Transfer rom file. And after a clean wipe flash it.
That rom have bootloader and some modem file that can bring up some issue mate. And those files belongs to Changer not to our beast.
Both device very very familiar but its different product anyway you can't trust it.
I RECOMMEND ALL OF PEOPLE GONNA FLASH ROM please first check the firmware files .If there, then clean it and wipe from the updater-script.
For an alternative you can flash your stock firmware files from QFİL but it's risky too.
Thanks for the replies. MTP was enabled all the time in the recovery. I have unmounted all partitions, repaired, formatted etc. After multiple tries, I managed to push and flash AICP rom. Good it's only ~500Mb. Transfer of bigger files was interrupted every time.
By the way this JUI ROM has replaced the starting screen. Phone is quietly squeaking for few seconds (in fastboot all the time) after every reboot on 'CoolPad' screen, similar to this 42sec 12000Hz. Any way to back to 'original' LP3 one?

Make sure you are not using a USB hub, or extension cable. Also make sure you are plugged directly into the PC motherboard, not one of the front ports. I had transfers stalling and it was my USB extension cable.

Sure, you need to flash the firmware files, download 23s from the official site, and fastboot flash all the files, that'll return you to stock fastboot, splash, etc.
Follow this guide (no need to format data, and flash system again, just the files in firmware update folder).

Can't flash anything using fastboot - "fastboot flash xxx.img" gives me: < waiting for any device > and nothing happens.
At the moment trying to flash stock 23s but it's hanging on "Patching system image unconditionally" for 5+ minutes already.
This JUI fcked bootloader in my phone somehow. It's blocked/can't be replaced or no idea what's going on here.
Edit: so ye after 20+ minutes of "Patching system image unconditionally" looks like I'm unable to flash stock 23s using TWRP 3.1.0.0.
Probably it wants to replace this fkn JUI bootloader and freeze there.
Wait, are you trying to flash complete official update.zip via twrp?? You cant do that. Find a 23s package customised for flashing via twrp, I think I used alba's package from 4pda

Is there any solution to restore Leeco bootloader? I just cant flash anything because device is unknown during fastboot mode. Tried to uninstall and reinstall driver but no luck.
I am stuck with coolpad bootloader which is not recognised from my pc. Serves me right because i didnt check the zip of jui which i flashed that had another bootloader, fml.
If any kind soul has any info on that please say it, thanks.

That is litterally what this whole topic was about? See my responses, if you still have access to twrp (dont see why wouldnt you), you can use it to flash a 23s "stock" rom through it (such a package will contain, among others, the leeco bootloader etc)

Yeah, I got rid of this JUBU bootloader after flashing stock-like rom. Also thanks to this there is no more strange noise during the boot sequence.

adb only works while phone is booted into system so nothing wrong there. If you're in the bootloader menu where you see that the status of your device is unlocked then you're already in fastboot mode. Just flash twrp again and the sideload stock 8.1 beta boot image (you can probably find it on xda), sideload magisk too. Go into install and press flash image file and find the stock boot image and then go into install again and change to flash .zip and flash magisk. After that, reboot into system.
WOW thank you so much'

No problem. Thank you very much for the donation, that was really kind of you. Hey I'm sure you'll get the hang of it before android P drops. you did figure out what went wrong all by yourself so get a hold of the right boot.img and the rest is exactly as how you did it in the first place but flash the boot.img before magisk. Let me know if you want to give it a dive again.
I'm on 8.1 boot loader unlocked and ready to try to root again .Thanks for the help
This is the closest thread i could find to what is happening to my PH-1.
Like videodave1 I 'was' running the latest stock 8.1 and have my bootloader unlocked. In trying to root the phone I did this:
flash boot flash boot twrp.img
adb shell twrp sideload
adb sideload magisk.zip
All installations went well, but when trying to reboot from twrp it forced me to install the app. After that the phone went into boot loop.
* Note how I didn't sideloaded the Oreo 8.1 image before magisk.
By pressing all 3 buttons I can get the phone to reboot and releasing the volume up I can get to Fastboot. Just volume down and power doesn't work.
The problem now is that adb and fastboot no longer recognise the phone. adb devices just gives an empty list and fastboot only shows < waiting for device >
Trying to go into Recovery mode doesn't work either. Power off doesn't work and Restart bootloader, well, restarts the bootloader.
It might be relevant to mention that I'm running adb and fastboot from Terminal in a Mac and that this is my very first and frustrated attempt to root any phone.
For reference this is what the FastBoot Mode brings:
PRODUCT_NAME - Mata
VARIANT - OPENUS
BOOTLOADER VERSION - mata-aad8ac4
BASEBAND VERSION - 2.0.C4-M1.3.1
SECURE BOOT - yes
DEVICE STATE - unlocked
I might have to just resign myself to the ordinary land of unlocked full stock phones
Thanks very much

I might be missing something hopefully obvious here. How can I flash twrp again if I my computer can't see the phone. With the USB phone plugged in and in the FastBoot screen I enter into Terminal:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
and I get:
< waiting for any device >
How do I flash it from the FastBoot screen? BTW, going to Recovery mode just hangs at the Essential logo.
Thanks

Thanks Arju. If you are referring to the FastBoot menu where you can use the up and down volume keys to select Start, Restart Bootloader, Recovery mode and Power off Yes, but not much else unfortunately.
If I select Recovery mode I don't go to the screen with the blue buttons from twrp.
Thanks

What you need to understand is that twrp will not stick after you flash it. This device does not have a recovery partition and that's why you replace the boot partition with twrp and while you're in twrp you need to flash the boot.img back and whatever mods on top of that such as kernel etc.. If you flash a rom then it will replace the twrp with the boot.img found in the rom zip.
So now we need the computer to recognize you device. Could you unplug the cable and change the usb port on you computer. connect your phone while you're in the bootloader menu where it says start on the top.
The use use fastboot command: fastboot devices
See if the computer recognizes you device.
