Pokemon Go doesnt work - X Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Spetrum's ROM and tried to login on pokemon GO and i also searched allot of websites for it to work, but it doesnt work.
I always get Unable to authenticate error.
So I've tried the following steps:
1)As i searched, I found that I might be banned so I made a new google account and tried to login with that but dint work.
2)I also tried to unroot the phone from superSU and then check but that also dint work.
3) did clear cache and uninstalled it mutliple times and installed it but dint work.
So What will be the issue? as my friend logged in front of me and for a change I've also tried logging using his account and dint work.
What do I do to make it work? Any help will be appreciated.

Yes

What I do with resurrection remix was change the names of the su files and add .bak at the end.
To do so you need to open the file Explorer on twrp and locate the TWO su files. One it's on bin folder and the other one it's on xbin folder.
With this you loose root but you can play Pokemon Go on a modified rom

Tested magisk v10 with phh's supersu and works with AICP 12.1, no issues whatsoever

Unrooted my phone.
Flashed magisk.zip
installed magisk manager
then i got some error SafetyNet CTS profile match false so i then uninstalled everything.

If you want volte, flash spectrum's ROM.
Also, if you want to revert back to stock ROM, you can either use flashfire to flash the firmware package or use fastboot (fastboot is preferable). Locking the bootloader is a bad idea because if in any case you mess up, you can quickly use it

I only renamed the "su" file.
I have to add that with latest RR and latest Magisk, Pokemon Go works fine! There´s no need to loose root.

Magisk on s7 & s7 edge

Hi Everyone, l have a question about this Magisk Mod and its directed to s7 & s7 edge users. If anyone is using this Mod, may you please tell us how you got it to work, coz l have tried and failed many times. Your help would be kindly appreciated..
King Addies
Root and install xposed.
I have used a stock rom, as it says on the magisk thread and followed all the instuctions and still failed.. lm not really botherd about using the mod anymore, but l made this thread so all the other people who are in my situation can get help or a tutorial on how to install it on s7 & s7 edge. Coz l could not really get much help from the official thread.

I'm using sac23's custom Note 7 port ROM. After installing his ROM, I went to SuperSU, clicked the option for cleanup to install different Super User app. Reboot phone. Then I booted into TWRP, flashed Magisk, then flashed Phh's Super User. Reboot system. Then install Magisk Manager or Auto Magisk app. Activate Auto Magisk under accessibility settings. Works like a dream.

One more step, sorry. You have to also install Phh's SU app from the Google Play store.
Besides Sac23's Note 7 Port Rom, has anyone else tested or used this Mod on any other s7 or s7 edge Rom..

Magisk works fine with any ROM. You just need to use a custom kernel or:
Obtain root using CF - Auto Root
Remove root via SuperSU app
Click No when asked about restoring stock boot.img
Go through the normal Magisk/Phh Superuser steps to install
Only thing I've noticed is that banking apps can still detect that I am rooted. Not sure if this is because I did SuperSU/modified boot.img method. I may try flashing back to stock via ODIN then flashing a custom kernel and install Magisk that way and see.
I've already tried all this. Do you think it's because i've got encrypted device?!
I've tried so many combinations as well... In the end, i have to always restore the stock firmware, run CF-autoroot and xposed normally.
Any ideas why? anyone?!

Encryption isn't the reason, I'm encrypted too.. There isn't really a benefit to it right now anyways. SafetyNet has been updated, you can't pass it with Xposed PERIOD until another bypass is done by the dev.
The key like someone said on a different thread, is to run CF Auto Root, then unroot with SuperSU. Follow the steps from there and you should be good to go but as I've already said, a lot has changed since then. Su-hide isn't working half of the time etc. Better off waiting for them to sort out all the issues first.

Maybe I did have it working then, the only thing I tested it with Pokemon go and it didn't work.. so I just assumed it wasn't working, so I reverted all changes. I spent way too much time than I had hoped

Magisk is pointless right now. Simply having an unlocked bootloader causes SafetyNet to fail. The latest version of magisk also removed the checkbox to turn root on and off. To use Snapchat YOU MUST login before any modifications. Make a titanium backup of Snapchat logged in, then you can restore it whenever you want.

What part of S7/S7Edge do you fail to understand?
Or, boot into TWRP, format data to unencrypt then flash latest magisk and reboot. Once booted, open magisk manager hit menu button and open settings, check magisk hide. Exit settings, open menu and open magisk hide, there you can check any app you want to hide from root. done.

From magisk you mean systemless xposed am i right. I recommend using the method by @Owen007 its better than magisk bcz i personally used magisk xposed for a day and it wasnt good for grand prime and from playing pokemon you mean virtual gyroscope module? If yes that thing really works didnt tey it with pokemon but with google camera its great.

[ByPass SafetyNet] Systemless root with PureNexus ROM (ASOP) + Elemental X Kernel

Okay I did a lot of research and thanks to some fellow on Reddit I got to bypass safetynet with systemless root. Now my banking apps work (Also you can run pokemon go too) I don't play it though.
Procedure:
1) Wipe (Data, System, Cache, Dalvik)
2) Flash Vendor (If required for build)
3) Flash PureNexus (Latest)
4) Flash Dynamic Gapps
5) Flash Kernel (Elemental X in my case)
6) Reboot to System (Setup your phone and come back to recovery)
7) Flash unsu.zip (unSU removes root)
8) Flash Magisk V11 (It has its own built in systemless root)
9) Reboot to System
10) Download Magisk Manager from playstore
11) Toggle Magisk Hide (this will enable systemless root)
12) Select the applications from which you want to hide your root from Magisk Manager App.

You're welcome. Let me know if anyone needs help.
[UPDATE]
Sorry guys, for not posting the resources.
You can find the latest Magisk and the unsu.zip on the following link
http://jmp.sh/QqYdv7h
it work fully no bug ? with the rom or magisk ?
I can also pass SafetyNet without Magisk, but well, maybe this tutorial will help someone.

Not that i'm bragging, but you can flash my validus build, it has magisk preinstalled, and you can have safetynet patched by enabling magisk hide. Here proof

I don't play Pokemon go. But since it bypass the safety net protocol. It should work. My banking and other apps which didn't used to work before cause of the root capture mechanism work perfectly fine now. You should try it.

i'm rooted with supersu 2.79 latest pure nexus 7.1.1 rom and latest elemental x kernel 4.05 and full dynamic gapps for 7.1.1 thanks you
You still have your bootloader unlocked?
I can hide root (supersu 2.79 sr3) with Root Switch, too.
But I do not understand what the difference is, because with me is in SafetyNet Test "CTS Profile Match" false.
For my banking app is root in that moment not present.

AAhh i see. Now i know where you are standing at. you are using magisk. But do you have magisksu ? or keep having supersu as main root but magisk installed? . What i mean to say is, when you go into the magisk app, in the 2nd box of the main screen, does it shows supersu as root method? or magisksu? if it is magisksu then you dont need supersu, now, if it does says supersu, then you do have to fix the issue of supersu to unroot by using supersu function and then go directly into recovery mode and flash magisksu once again.
It says majisksu
pbedard said:

then you dont need su (unless you want it). It is because you already have magisksu (which is pretty much doing the same as su). one overrides the other and then one gets thrown out. Usually to install magisk manually, one does as follows:
1) install magisk app from playstore
2) give supersu access (granted to magisk su)
3) use unroot function in supersu
4) flash magisk zip in recovery mode.
Now, there are other methods to achieve magisksu but the point is that maisksu has changed the binary (which is what SuperSU is telling you that you dont have). But that doesnt mean you are not rooted. you are already rooted with magisk and can achieve pretty much anything that you could achieve with supersu. (it will ask you for prompts asking you whether you want to give su access to "x" or "y" app. etc... Now, if you want SuperSU, you could try to flash the magisk uninstaller. Then do the process of rooting that has been specified for your phone. That should return the SU binary to normality . (this assuming you try to unroot and then flash SU back but didnt work)
hey guys bought my ls997 used. has root because i get the flash screen (untrusted)and twrp is installed and working. how do i find out which to flash ? any advantages to use supersu over magisk ?
i installed magisk manager and it states no root found.
Majisk u have to turn root access on majisk works alot better

Hide Root on P9 lite?

Hello,
i wanna hide root (because of Super Mario Run) and tried to install Magisk, but i get an installation error.
I have no idea if Magisk uses the correct partition, i also tried the boot0/boot1 partition, but no luck.
My P9 lite is running Nougat (VNS-L31C432B370)
Did anyone succeed in installing Magisk on the P9 lite? Or are there any other "hide root" apps i could try?
Thanks!
In my b371 works fine.
I installed magisk from play store and at the first start it asks to install itself in boot partiton.
i can't even install it in recovery, the phone justs reboots during installation.
how did you root? what kernel are you using? i'm using elite-kernel v3 for 370
i assume you're using phh's SuperUser?
well, maybe i give the 371 update a try...
I use elite-kernel. I rooted simply installing phh su from play store. Then I installed magisk from play store and it auto flash itself the zip. It works. Try
