Stock X727 notification icons - circle with three dots inside - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

It seems that any non-system app only shows a generic notification icon in my status bar tray.
For example, if I get a hangouts message (stock system app) it shows the correct notification icon. However, if I get a WhatsApp (user app) it just shows a generic circle with three dots inside. This happens for all my user apps it seems including persistent notifications.
Anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks I wonder why it is doing that on my phone... Never seen that before on any other Android phone either...

Solved: setting region to USA fixed the notification icon issue. I had it set to Other and it messed up the icons. Bizarre.

Thanks, this really did the trick. What does the region setting even do?

I am not sure but it fixed the issue for me on 20S. I don't use the LeEco pass or video apps at all so not sure if it restricts the content you are able to see.

Thanks, I would have never guessed!
Untill now I used an app called Status that gave me my status bar back.

Changing the region to any other than China Mainland revokes the built-in call recording functionality...

Delete icon is missing from the gallery app

Hello all, recently, i realized the 'delete' icon from the gallery app has been replaced by the screen mirroring icon (even though screen mirroring is not turned on). If i want to delete photos now, I have to press the left key and hit 'delete' or hold the photo down to select it... before deleting it.
I have tried all means and ways to get the delete icon back, cleared cache and data from the gallery app, turning on and off screen mirroring etc... restarting all... but it does not seem to come back at all.
Can anyone advise me on how to get the 'delete icon' back? been trying to search for answers but couldnt find one so far. Here's a screenshot for you... i believe most of you would have the delete icon in place of the screen mirroring icon

Bump!
What firmware are you on?
I used to have the delete button in the action bar too but once i upgraded to MEA, I have to delete images from the menu list instead as you have described.

i updated the software recently to the MEA version and bam! the delete icon just went missing.
Anyone has any solution to this? I dont need the screen mirroring icon! I need the delete icon!!!
It is not at activated at the top anymore it's activated at the bottom.
Long press the thumbnail... the delete icon will appear along with multi select.

That is what i've been doing for a while now, but frankly... i would much prefer to have the delete icon back.
Anyone has any workaround solution to this?
I think if you press the menu button on the phone there's a delete option there too.

The ui change cannot be worked around short of rooting the device to modify the gallery app or not rooting and using a third party gallery.

Light Flow update???

Hi,
I am wondering if any of you guys use Light Flow on the 6P and if you updated in the last day or so? I update it last night and a persistent notification is now in my notification bar and will not remove itself.
FYI the persistent notification thing is unselected in light flow (see attached).
Any ideas? Any of you experience the same thing???

I looked in the play store and there are many people complaining the new update is showing the persistent icon and no way to disable it.
Also you could go to settings and go to apps and try this:
settings>Apps>notifications>Block all
see if that resolves it

thanks for the reply, but if i block all notifications, i then get no notifications at all from light flow.
The developer is aware of the situation. Unfortunately it is a Marshmallow issue. He is working on a "legacy" app that will deal with the persistent notification. If you check the reviews in the play store he has replied to the recent complaints. On a side note it is situations like this that has taught me to not immediately update an important app without reading the reviews for a few days. Either that or have a titanium backup handy if the updated app is not playing nicely!

Here's Reactle's blog post on the persistent notification and other changes for Marshmallow: http://www.reactle.com/2015/10/changes-for-android-6-marshmallow.html
Basically, they were exploiting a flaw in the OS itself to gain control of the LED without a notification or root. That flaw has been fixed, and now without having that persistent notification LightFlow will crash.

Miui Theme customisation

Miui allowed mixing of various components like icon pack, status bar, luck screen etc in themes previously. But now customise option only comes one when we clear the Theme app's data then disappears. Any solution to this?

Try force stop theme app from settings and then clear data and disable internet connection on the phone(important!!!).Reopen theme app with no internet, after enable internet, choose customize and you will have access to all features, but you will need to make this procedure every time, when you will want to change something.
Yeah that's exactly what I'm doing for changing individual items. Maybe an update would solve it. Anyone can check whether it happened on the previous MIUI version of RN3?

Umm..wouldn't Clearing Data remove all the downloaded themes? What's the point of customize then?

No it doesn't remove the themes. Just some settings and the cache.

Phone just updated to QFJ

Have that dot to hide the navbar now, but now the navbar is white.
There are 6 different colors you can select for the nav bar. Find them under settings/display/navigation bar.

They are all white in Settings, although I've talked with a few others and they are not having the white problem.

I know - you've got white with a blue tinge, white with a red tinge, white with a green tinge, etc. They're all white though.
I use automate to get it back to black - it works for almost all apps, and it's a lot more consistent than that navbar play store app (which tended turn back to white if you hid the navbar).
Download navbar app from the playstore and you can get the navbar back to black or to whatever color that you want. Your welcomes?
Deleted.
Not sure why but mine is grey with white icons. Dont know what changed your color.

I use automagic but would be interested to see your flow so that I might be able to convert for automagic. I'm using the navbar app now and yes it is somewhat unreliable

I pulled the whole process from here - I've never used automagic, but this should help you out.
