after flash twrp via odin still got stock recovery

@zizoumadrid in odin untick the option reboot after completed (or something related) then reflash twrp when its completed remove battery and then insert again and boot and direcrly press vol up power and home to go to recovery. Alternatively u can try to go to recovery as soon as your phone reboots after conpleted (if u did not uncheck reboot after completed)

Update odin if you didn't .
And try to use diffrent country model (i faced bootloop once from a diffrent country which was weird).
Or try to flash a rom from sd .
Note :this could be from battery , if the battery wasn't connected well it will cause bootloop (or unusual reboots ) .
Hope that helps

Stuck in Clockworkmod Recovery

Hi, I've tried to install Android 4.1.2 on my LG E610 L5. The rom I chose was 20d + root + cwm. It worked just fine, but I've accidentally let it update itself, not knowing you should do that on rooted devices. Not whenever I turn on the phone it shows me cwm recovery menu. Rebooting doesn't work and I can't get into stock recovery mode. I've tried hard reset, clearing cash and data, flashing another rom, nothing works. Is there anything I can do other than giving it to service and paying for getting it fixed? Cwm version is 6.0.2.8, I can link to specific download link if that made a difference.

I'd try that, but KDZ won't detect my phone. I can't boot up the system and there's no download mode in cwm. Is there any way to flash stock recovery using cwm?
I basically need anything that would make my phone show up and be detected by kdz. May be rom or different recovery.

okay first of all you need to go to google and find the right driver for your phone
next take the battery out of your phone and then plug it in to your computer while holding the volume up buttons
next go to your computers drivers via ( Start->right click on computer and go to properties->then go to hardware then drivers-> look for something called modem and if your phone is under it then disable it)
next open the KDZ updtaer
install that mx thing
then open KDZ updater set it to 3GQCT and EMERGENCY
then select your KDZ updater
launch update
it may say errors but let it finish.
Phone's display shows LG logo. Left for an hour, nothing happened. If I try to do KDZ update, it says "PHONE WAS NOT FOUND! "

How can I get into fastboot mode? None of the "press volume button and power for 30 seconds" methods work. @edit From what I've read, LG L5 doesn't have fastboot. Damn it.
Did you tried to remove the battery and enter emergency mode ?

OK, so that's really interesting. I've connected the phone to the PC, uninstalled drivers and let Windows Update install it's own. Doing so, instead of being stuck on LG logo, I was now in fastboot mode, despite being said LG L5 doesn't have fastboot. Anyways, I've flashed stock recovery.img I've found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37363473&postcount=1023. Using Vol- and power button I put it in download mode and managed to install clean soft from official LG website with KDZ. I'm not really sure how it worked, but it did.

Ok every one iv posted a simulare problem a month ago, when you use kdz, and it flashes stock, if after the flashing it stays in a boot loop all you need to do is leave the phone on boot with the lg logo for 10 mins.
After that unplug your phone, put the battery back in.
Now all you need to do is a factory reset, press and hold Vol down + menu, press power after the phone vibritas let go of the power button and keep holdind Vol down + menu for 10 seconds.
The phone will factory reset and boot up normaly.
This works on all versions of L3/L5/L7

I had no idea what I was doing back then, so I haven't tried a simple solution, but you can try flashing a ROM. The fact you boot straight into recovery is a sign of no/corrupt system, so flashing a different one may fix it. Pick one from Original Development and follow the instructions.

put
pda in pda
phone in modem
csc in csc
do NOT include pit file
do NOT tick repartition

if you choose a non wipe pack (doesnt say wipe in file name) and the phone doesnt boot after flash go to recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset and then restart

Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F 5.0 stuck during root

This is not the first time i root an android device but it is the first time im doing it on an S5, nonetheless I am pretty much stuck right now.
I tried to install CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.tar using Odin from here, it installed with no problems, but when the phone restarted I get:
RECOVERY BOOTING
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: recovery
and then it shuts down.
I tried to enter recovery mode by doing power+vol up+menu but nothing happens ?
Can anyone help ?
EDIT: ok, so I did manage to get it running again by flashing openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-gt-klte. This got me past the "Recovery is not seandroid...", but all in all I still didn't manage to get root access...
I passed through a similar situation , all u have to do once u've got the recovery is get the SuperSU flashable zip and flash it and ur done
Here is a direct link : https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip?retrieve_file=1
This happened to me also. I am running XXU1BOJ1 . I flashed twrp-2.8.7.0-klte.img and even though it solved getting stuck at recovery, my phone still boots into the standard recovery instead of TWRP when pressing VOLUP+Home+Power. Anyone got ideas?

I did flash .img.tar actually. Still no effect - boots to regular recovery. Can't figure this out...
i get in the same situation...why still rebooting in original recovery?
i installed this one CF-Auto-Root-klte-kltexx-smg900f.tar with odin with succes but still have
RECOVERY BOOTING
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: recovery
then when i boot i get a black screen with all application error....the only way to get it back working was to wipe factory reset in original recovery.
what can i do to get it working so i can install custom roms?
thx in avance

I can't seem to get the coustom recovery installed, and after some digging i found this :
manubhargav said:
Actually the problem was that custom recovery(twrp here) was not installed at all, that above mentioned error occurs when you try to install SuperSU.zip from stock recovery<3e>.
This happens because when you flash custom recovery from Odin and allow it to reboot on its own, Samsung's recovery checking script checks if a custom recovery is present and overrides.
To bypass that check you need to take your battery out as soon as the recovery is flashed by Odin ( and before the phone reboots).
As soon as the Odin says PASS you should be ready to take out the battery which will stop it from rebooting,
put back the battery and enter recovery mode directly by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home and Power keys at the same time.
Release all three buttons when Samsung Galaxy S5 screen flickers and the main screen of Recovery mode appears.
This will avoid script checking and will let you to custom recovery directly, there you can install SuperSU or any other zip.

Maybe your phone is not recognized in Download Mode as corresponding drivers may not be properly installed. So Computer is not able to recognize the phone when in Downlaod mode. Install SM Bus Controllers drivers from Intel from Official driver source.
After setting-up you'll be able to flash TWRP and boot into recovery mode.

Ah, So the problem you're facing is NOT getting into recovery mode
There are 2 ways to solve the problem, (1st -> flashing recovery.tar again, 2nd-> flashing stock firmware)
First method:
Enter "Download Mode" by holding down "Volume Down"+ "Home" + "Power" button.
Flash recovery.img again and check if it boots into recovery this time.
Sometimes this may not work and you may need to try flashing firmware
Second method:
Download Firmware from here
Open odin in your PC
Enter "Download mode"
Connect the device to PC using USB
Flash the PDA, BL, AP, CSC etc.
Alternatively, You can flash the firmware using SmartSwitch

Oh but it is! That's exactly my problem. Look, here are the 3 outcomes I get regarding the whole recovery menu thing:
Go into the default recovery menu - cant install SuperSU but at least it works.
Install twrp and remove the battery after it finishes transfering and wants to restart, at which point when I go into recovery I get the above error (Could not do normal boot. ODIN MODE.)
Install twrp and let it restart by itself and after it is done, go into recovery only to find it is back to the default one.

Turn OFF Auto-Reboot option in ODIN and flash the recovery.tar and remove battery and directly boot into recovery mode.
Go into a working custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) and flash SuperSU.zip from the recovery and reboot with ("Fix permissions" if there is such an option, otherwise simply reboot).

Ah use latest twrp 2.8.70
Ah use latest supersu beta 2.52
Quick download cm12.1 nightly and flash it.
Boot Rom and go into settings/aboutphone/ click build number rapidly.
Developer settings should appear, then go into developers options/ click on "root access" and enable it.
---- now test if its working . however....
2)
If its not working, take yourself back into twrp and flash that supersu beta.
----now test again. However ....
3)
If it doesn't work again .
go back to stock 5.0 rom>>> put twrp on >>> and flash DAT supersu .
now test ya rom again. However.........
4)
If it dont work again ..
go back to stock 4.4 rom>>> put twrp on>>> and flash a random supersu.
now test ya rom again. However.....
5)
if that doesn't work again,
Go back to stock rom through (odin) and restart the process from the top .
btw the "recovery is not seandorid enforcing" is normal . not an error.

First of all holy **** what an answer... let's SLOW DOWN a bit first, shall we ?
Secondly you lost me from step 1, I don't want CyanogenMod, I want the default Samsung 5.0 with TouchWiz (contrary to popular belief I actually like it).
Also I would really like to know (from someone that actually knows why this happens) why is it reverting to default recovery and how can I stop it from doing so ? manubhargav had an interesting idea, but sadly it doesn't work for everyone (as someone else mentioned on that other post)
So I'm guessing no one knows the answer to my problem considering almost a moth has passed...
I know that in kitkat the answer was to turn off / disable 'Reactivation Lock' (located under settings>>security and unchecking the box)........
I had heard that Samsung had removed that option in lollipop, but it might be worth checking......it has/had to be disabled BEFORE attempting to flash anything......

And you have to flash your old kernel

Thanks.
But how to flash my ol kernel?
i can boot only on download mod.
odin always say: FAIL(DEVICEinfo)
Does odin fail when you start the process or after flashing ?
Try to find your stock kernel on internet

It always fails before flashing process.
It seems to start the flashing method but after 4-5 second it says fail.
i didnt find any stock kernel to my nougat galaxy s7 edge.
i hope that i didnt destroy my phone totally.
You can't boot to twrp right ?
Because your kernel is on the "boot.img", you have to flash it.

I had the exact same problem and was having the same error even trying to flash stock form Odin.
Solution:
Restart Odin
Boot into TWRP
Boot back to Download mode but from TWRP not from the button combo
Flash stock ROM (available from Sammobile) through Odin
That worked and I didn't lose anything but of course it will overwrite TWRP.

Ah yes ok I misread. I want to say it would work even if you went directly to download mode, but if it doesn't, I would try flashing TWRP again after killing all involved processes.
Solution here
https://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38591
Code:
2) Boot into download mode by pressing ( power + volume down + Bixby button) and stop at the screen of continue and reboot.
Press volume down to restart phone
Quickly boot back into download mode by pressing (power + volume down + Bixby button)
Press continue
Congratulations fully working now
3) Install firmware with Odin
4) Wait for the firmware to be installed
5)Ready)))
Anyone with idea to restore imei. I have unknown imei error.

Full bricked my P9 Lite

Hello XDA'ers,
the Story in short if that's anyway possible:
I'm using a HUAWEI P9 Lite VNS-L31 (3GB RAM, Single-Sim, Austrian Stock ROM)
Long time ago after i've got in use with my Phone i flashed the European (Unbranded) VNS-L31C432B161.
Everything went fine and it was really stable, fast and what not.
But then i was just getting bored and was looking for other ROM's and found the "EliteROM V5".
Long talk short, i've flashed the modified TWRP (to Backup/Restore/Wipe Vendor, Product and Version paritions) and made a FULL TWRP Backup with every Partition (Boot,Data,Internal Storage,System,Vendor,Product and Version) and installed EliteROM v5 as described in their Guide and it was a full success.
But then i realized that there was some Bug's which got me really mad (like no Spotify Lockscreen Notifications).
So i've decided to go to TWRP and made a FULL WIPE of everything (Boot,Data,Internal Storage,System,Vendor,Product and Version) , formatted Data to ext4 (which was my original FileSystem before EliteROM) and used my Backup to restore every partiton, TWRP was showing that everything went fine.
From there everything went wrong, i've rebooted and it was still showing that the Bootloader was unlocked and booted with the default animated Android Logo (like the ones you see on Emulators).
Of course it had a Bootloop, i've wait about 30 minutes and the animated Android Logo was still present.
I've tried the Restore method so many times, i've also tried just a few partitions (like Vendor,Product,Version and System) but none of them was a success.
However, i've tried to flash the Stock ROM with the dload Method which didn't work (i did get a message something like the Installation Package isn't compatible with my current System).
I've tried to use fastboot to flash my stock rom manually (with fastboot flash boot/cust/system/recovery) which wasn't also a success but once i entered TWRP (after flashing TWRP back with fastboot) i've noticed that the console of TWRP was displaying "failed to mount /vendor (invalid argument), failed to mount /product (invalid argument).
After this long painful Hours i've decided to flash oeminfo from the original VNS-L31 for Single Sim over TWRP which was a success but after this my Bootloader got locked.
I've than Unlocked the bootloader once again but it was still the same. (invalid /vendor and /product).
Then i tried that one thing which i think got my Phoen bricked now, i've flashed the stock boot, cust, system via fastboot and tried to lock my Bootloader with fastboot oem relock XXX which ws a success.
Now after reboot i can't enter Recovery nor Fastboot, i've just the HUAWEI Logo with the powered by android symbol.
That's it.
As you can see it the Problem here was the failure of Restoring partitions.
So my Question now: Is it still possible to "Unbrick" my Phone or not?
Thanks for reading and maybe sharing my expierence with Backups and Restores and for every reply which may help.
best regards,
MarkusP87
Hi,
Follow steps HERE
Hello,
thanks for the link but as stated above i can't access Recovery nor Fastboot.
No matter which Buttons i press on Power i'm getting always HUAWEI Logo with "powered by android".
No USB Connection, i can just wait for the Battery to get low so that the Phone will turn off by itself.
best regards,
MarkusP87
Plug your phone on pc and just after the warning screen tip "fastboot reboot bootloader" (or juste before view a "charging screen" if warning screen don't appear).
You able to view bootloader screen now?
Hello,
no luck.
I just recognized that if my Battery is completely discharged it won't boot up the Phone unless i Press Vol Down Button (it will instantly Boot with Vol down) but still no PC nor fastboot connection.
In Attachment yo can see what i get when trying to boot up with VOL Down or VOL UP or VOL UP + DOWN + POWER.
Thanks for trying.
best regards,
MarkusP87
I've opened my Phone and removed the Battery and could boot into Bootloader , unlocked it and flashed TWRP.
Flashed Boot,Recovery,Recovery2 and System via Fastboot from VNS-L31C432B161 Stock Firmware without success.
Phone hangs still at "Your device is booting now..."
Also eRecovery (VOL UP + Down and Power) doesn't work.
And Console of TWRP shows:
Failed to mount /vendor (invalid argument)
Failed to mount /product (invalid argument)
Wiping or Change Filesystem of them don't work.
What else could i try to get my Phone working again?
I just want a Stock Firmware on it.
Thanks in advance!
best regards,
MarkusP87
Try this flash twrp wipe everything except sd maybe even format data and make sure data is on ext4 theb put the stock rom of your phone to /sdcard/dload the file name should be UPDATE.APP
(if you do this in twrp sdcard will be called external_sd then flash your stock oeminfo and shut the phone down then use dload 3 button method if theres no hardware problems your phone should boot up if its stays on huawei logo after flashing reboot stock recocery and factory reset and wipe cache this should fix it! Wish best luck for you
Hello,
tried your suggestions but they didn't work.
but nevermind, this thread can be closed, i've tried to flash every image from stock firmware over twrp and after reboot the Phone is completely death, doesn't even charge anymore.
thanks anyways for your replies!
best regards,
MarkusP87
Hey the same thing happened to me.. What you need to do now and I'm sure this will work just do everything
*Install the same TWRP from the Elite rom v5
*Reboot to recovery and go to "Mount"
*Enable everything (Cache, Data, System, Vendor, Product)
*Go back and then go to wipe > Advanced Wipe and wipe everything (Cache, Dalvik Cache, Data, System, Vendor, Product) Follow next step if wiping doesn't work now .
*Download region Patch for Elite ROMs (if you come from another region other than "C432") and put it in your sdCard https://goo.gl/JeQxdm
*Flash region patch before flashing Elite ROM and then (reboot) before flashing anything!
*Now again after you restart the phone, Reboot back to TWRP and wipe everything over again. And don't forget to change Data file system to f2fs
*Now download EliteRom v5 and Patch for VNS-l31 also download Launcher and sound fix and put them on your sdCard
EliteRom v5: https://goo.gl/AojsAf
Launcher and sound fix: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291681155
Patch for VNS-L31: https://goo.gl/wXEvPD
*Now flash "EliteRom" then "Sound and launcher fix" then "Patch for VNS-L31"
*Now just reboot and tell me if you have any problems or if it didn't work because I have another way to fix it but I'm %100 sure it will work
---------- Post added at 11:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:52 PM ----------
Another way to fix it and if you wanna go back to stock rom
*Download this C432oeminfo from here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zr6dn2m3sd4q81i/C432OemInfo-DUALSIM-P9LITE.zip
*flash it via TWRP
*Now download this rollback package from here: http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93645&version=371484&siteCode=np
*Extract and put files in dload folder on your sd card and flash with the 3 button method.
*Now download this stock rom from here and don't use any other rom just use that one http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v83116/f1/full/update.zip
*Now again extract and replace the files with the new ones on your sdCard and install via the 3 button method.

Wait you said the phone won't even charge? But you need to get to fastboot to do everything..so idk but you can try this
Connect to pc and just before the screen turns on.. press and hold the volume down button maybe that will get you to fastboot

anyway if you manage to get to fastboot.. just do the things I said and it will work
Hello,
yesterday everything adb, twrp and fastboot was working.
I've tried to flash boot,recovery,recover2 and system via TWRP update.zip (opened UPDATE.APP in Huaweiextractor and clicked create flashable zip) after reboot i did get an "ERROR MODE" , Please Update System now.
With ERR FUNC (hifi image).
Then i tried to Flash the complete update.zip (extracted everything from UPDATE.APP) from a VNS-L31C432B161 Firmware.
After reboot my Phone was Death, it doesn't turn on anymore nor does it regonoize any usb cable.
I think it's done now.
Thanks anyways for your reply!

same happened to me, totally bricked (after upgrade to nougat) sent it to huawei service center and they replace it with new one, same model , just have to wait 3 weeks
Just a quick Update.
I've got my Phone back from a Service Center (not HUAWEI) off my Merchant.
They replaced the Mainboard so i have a new IMEI and Serialnumber.
So the Phone works now
best regards,
Markus
