Hi all,
I have been searching for an app that can be used on the head unit to call with your Bluetooth connected phone.
The standard app that comes with Joying is a pain in the ass. Your not able to type the name of the person, your music stops playing when you open the app and it doesn't start again when you close the app. It would be cool if there is an app you can use like on your phone. Type the name and press dial to call a person. It would also be awesome if you are being called the name of the person will appear on the headunit.
Is there someone of you people that know a app that can do these things?

Hello, I recently purchased a universal car dock off eBay and I would like to be able to use car dock mode with Pandora and possibly other configuration by only pressing one button. Basically it would turn on car dock mode, turn on bluetooth, gps, pandora, and whatever else I would like to open by just selecting the car preset. Then reverse it all when I leave my vehicle. Does anyone know of the best app to do all of this with the Mytouch 4G's car-dock mode?
Thanks much!
Google Car Home can launch whenever a particular BT device connects.

That's very cool! I just have the stock mytouch 4g rom and it works but I had to download the app off the net as the market showed nothing for me. Does anyone know if the hands free text messaging will work with this app as it does with the stock car dock app?
Thank you
Google Voice Search is very similar to the Genius Button app. Even better in some ways, like "listen to <artist>". However the Voice Dialer, started by the headset button, is dialing only.

Good Morning,
I am after a certain type of app but I am struggling to find something that suits my needs and I was wondering if anyone here can point me to a good app.
I am looking for something where I can hide an app from my App Tray and launch it via the phone dialer by typing a certain code.
So to recap I do not want anyone using my phone to be able to see this app. I don't want and password protection or fake error message I want it completly hidden and only available through the dialer.
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Max
Try Wave Launcher.... that might be what your after?
Thanks for the reply but thats not what I am after. That is just a fancy launcher where as I want to completly hide an app and only be able to launch it through the dialer.
anyone else have any ideas?
The only app i've heard of doing anything like this is Shady SMS, but that just allows you hide certain contacts conversations. I've never seen anything else similar..

Try Hide It Pro it give you the ability to hide pics, videos, and apps. I believe this is exactly what you are looking for. It installs as a cute little app called "Audio Manager" which you can configure to actually function properly. There is a secret "button" press to get you to a keypad for a passcode. Enter your passcode and your in.

This package looks perfect but its refusing to list my installed applications :-(
I once had an app like this, but can't find it now.
The only app that I've encountered that can do this is Lockdown Pro but it can only hide itself. I hope someone can make an app like this or maybe I'll try it myself when I graduate.
Hi,
I need an app that does this:
When I answer the phone, it mutes the microphone, and plays a recorded file. When the file finishes, the microphone comes back on and I can begin the call.
Why?
I'm starting a business, and want to seem professional.
Legally speaking, I need to record my calls (business phone) and I'd like a way to notify my callers seamlessly.
Does an app like this exist? The auto answer systems dont seem to do it.
If not-I'm very interested if others are able to help me with it.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have an issue where I need to launch an app on device startup on a windows mobile embedded device (6.5) but sporadically the app launches without focus leaving the today screen on view.
I need a small app that will get around this, either by launching the app on a timer or forcing the app to have focus, does anybody know of such an app?
My only alternative at this point is a today screen launcher to get around it.
My preference is the end user would never see the today screen, but for this pilot of the devices I cannot kiosk the device as there will be none technical staff on the remote site using them, and we will need to talk them through additional configuration over the phone and I'd prefer to have access to the device whilst we transition from pilot to production.
Thanks
GD

Only some lines coded in "MortScript" are necessary to accomplish this. Search this thread for a scheduler/launcher written in "MortScript" ...
I have been combing the developer.android site for a specific way to implement an app i'm trying to flesh out. The answer to this question will hopefully point me in the right direction.
I am trying to design an app that is basically a slave to whatever messaging apk the user wishes to download. Example: Handcent lets you use it's ringtone picker for almost every app that has notifications, even though it is a separate app for messaging in and of itself. What is the terminology for how this was coded for Android? I want to do something similar but i have no idea of where to look to find making my app the service for the function on the device
