Slow charging speeds - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

My mediapad is charging ridiculously slow. Ampere is reporting between 310mah and 550mah charge rate. Anyone else have this problem?

I get 1410

Weird. What cable and charger are you using?

Is it OK to use a phone charger on the Nexus 7?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
So long as the output voltage is the same. Of course, charging using a phone charger is going to be painfully slow.

Yeah slow compared to the stock charger but these things do charge off the same voltage as phones so there is no problem there.

How about the other way around, could I charge my Galaxy Nexus with the Nexus 7 charger?

Yes. Although the charger is capable of charging at a higher current, the phone is only going to charge at the rate it was meant to. In other words, if the charger is rated at 2A and the phone 1A, it's not going to charge twice as fast.

[Q] What charger comes with the SGS4?

Anyone knows what charger comes with the SGS4. The sgs3 came with a 1000 mah output charger.
But you can buy a quickcharger with 2000 mah output.
So what kind do u get in the 9505 box?

it's identical to the one on the S3 from what I've seen
Wrong.
Got my phone today. Charger is a 2A (2000 mAh) output. Same as on my link above.

It comes with a 2 ah charger.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
It's a 2A or 2000mA charger NOT 2Ah or 2000mAh. the Ah are used to indicate capacity of the battery.
Same as my NoteII charger.

Taking long to charge

Is any one else having this problem. It takes my phone 6hours to charge to 100% using the provided charger.

That's how my One was and was one of the main reasons I switched to the S4 Active. No such problems here. I forgot to charge it last night and tossed it on at 8am with 40% on it. By 9:15 it was full.

I find its always best to turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, data, and sync when charging to get the fastest result.

More then likely its just a short in my cord, but was curious if any one else had the problem

this is likely a problem with the cord or adapter. your device should be charging much quicker than this. have you tried another cable?
Even with everything turned on it should not take that long. For the whole 6 hours did it say it was charging?

New MF4 international ROM? If so it charges slow with screen on. Still shouldn't be that slow though. Download Galaxy Charging Current lite and see if the your getting between 1200 and 1900 mA

The s4 is probably the fastest charging phone I've ever had.. It charges to full from any percentage in about an hour.. Maybe bad outlet?

I want to add amps to the USB from another source on the board
Couldn't you track the positive track back to the voltage regulator and fit a bigger amp smd regulator?

Use a powered USB hub, and save your warranty.
Best way to fix your issue in my opinion.

2.5A charger

Would it be OK to use a 2.5A charger with my Nexus 4.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Yes
Sent from my Oric-1 micro
Yes it is OK.. The phone will pull only 1.2A though, so you won't experience faster charging. Just make sure its 5V.

Are you sure about this??? I have one charger 2V but I dare not try
