Hi everyone! I am considering the European zte axon 7 but because they messed up the audio volume would root, so I can increase back the volume. However would like to keep the zte axon 7 s Android. By rooting will be able to remove unwanted software aswell. Anybody can help me with advise for rooting and keeping zts's own android version which I would prefer than unstable roms?
Flash TWRP, flash unofficial fastboot, unlock bootloader, flash SuperSU 2.65 via TWRP.

stock, unrooted phone on latest update b19
well, b19 broke one of my apps due to the latest android security updates. per the developer, is not fixable unless I root or go back
i really dont want to root. Seems a bit of a pain on the axon 7.
What would be the best way for me to go back to the original nougat that axon released? any help very appreciated
The B15 release (original nougat 7.0) is on the ZTE website under the support section. Download it to an SD card and install it in stock recovery. You have to enable OEM unlocking in developer options first, though.
thank you
Hi, I have an Axon 7 2017G with an unlocked bootloader, twrp, and root. Now I have the stack rom V1.0.0B09 and I have some OTA updates to do.
How I have to proceed if I want to update? There is some issue if I will update with TWRP or with an unlocked bootloader?
What is the procedure to have the last rom and, at the same time, maintain an unlocked bootloader, TWRP?
Thanks ,
youngz
Find a firmware thread, download what you need and flash in twrp. You don't get ota now.
Ok, so, if I will able to find the updates (also from the zte website?), can I flash them with TWRP? Have I to perform all the steps or I can install directly the last update for my device?

Use raystef66's thread. Download a stock recovery from there (for example some Nougat stock recovery) and the latest stock ROM. Then flash the stock recovery through TWRP and reboot to system. After that go to Settings - Updates, and it should find the update, just le tit update
Hi Guys,
Couple days ago I flashed TWRP and unlocked my bootloader on my Axon 7 US version A2017U. My main reason was to install Lineage OS 15.1 but I get an Error 7 installing the official OS from Lineage website ( nightly latest version ). Then I tried using the Unofficial version and it worked. I had some glitches after install so I went back to New ZTE Official Oreo SD card installation.
I want to remove TWRP and lock my bootloader. My device shows un-rooted but because I have TWRP and bootloader in unlocked I can't download Netflix ( just an example ). I tried Draken's Bootstock zip and Stocksystem zip but after flashing those two my phone shows no OS installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm talking to experts so I hope someone will find a minute to help.
Hello, i've installed TWRP, and rooted my sgs8 with magisk, when i was on 8.0 Oreo stock rom, then i did update the software to 9.0 pie, thorught TWRP, using the ROM found on this forum.
Now i'd like to install TWRP and root my device, but the OEM unlock option is gone. And yes, i did wait the 7 days after updating firmware. What should i do? I'm kinda newbie here.
If you installed a custom Pie rom and kept TWRP, and you can access TWRP, you're fine. If it's stock ROM, and you didn't patch RMM, you'll need to re-wait 7 days.
Hi,
I have had my A1 since it first came out and thinking of rooting and flashing Pixel OS on it now. I am currently in latest Android 9 and in Malaysia.
I read up some of the other threads about rooting and flashing rom but there seem to be alot of conflicting instructions and alot of ways to root which is making it very confusing for me now.
Any kind soul can point me the most reliable way to root and flashing Pixel rom?
Thanks in advance
The way I did it is unlocking bootloader and then booting twrp via fastboot. From there you can easily install magisk, custom ROMs, kernels, and other modifications.
Remember that if you want to be able to boot to recovery without using a PC you'll need to flash a twrp installer
