If you have root, download Link2sd app from google store (free) then go to system app and select uninstall or freeze
Yeah, it's mildly annoying, can't seem to stop notifications from the step counter. I guess the only real solution is rooting the device and freeze/uninstall using TitaniumBackup or similar apps.

Hi
After updating to 4.1.2, I got a "Samsung Mobile" folder in mobile bookmarks in Chrome.
Anyone know how to delete that?
I dont get the delete option when I hold on the folder.
Phone is not rooted.
Me too, bloody annoying!
You could remove it with titanium backup and then install from the market.

Phone is not rooted, and will not be. (Company phone with software installed to check for root)
Chrome is already installed from the market.
I'm wondering how Samsung is allowed to make permanently active bookmarks in a 3rd party program.
There must be a way round it, i tried deleting cashe and app data, uninstalled updated but nothing removes it without rooting!
I cant believe samsung has done this! very annoying it pop ups when i want to access my bookmarks

View the applications in Settings/Application Manager/All. Best viewed in landscape to see the full application name.

It's a system app in 4.1.2. It's called chromewithbrowser.apk in the system folder. Then it updates from the market just like Gmail, maps etc.

I updated my Nexus 4 to 4.2.2 but it immediately broke Sky Go (Sky haven't got round to updating their app to work on 4.2.2). I've rolled back to 4.2 in the meantime but I've got a constant nagging notification asking me to update to 4.2.2 and it's driving me mad.
I've tried searching but I can't find a thread detailing a way to disable this notification without rooting my device (Sky Go doesn't work on rooted handsets, and I use it a lot).
Anyone got any ideas how I can stop this notification while Sky sort their app out?
Disable notifications for app called "Google services framework"
It should be under all applications

Yap and i actually completely disable the app, just in case it goes alive by itself at some point, or after rebooting.
I don't want the "Facebook messenger" app to accidentally be updated when I manually update other apps, as I love the SMS chat heads - is there a way to hide it from the update list so I can press "update all" without worrying?
Unless there's a cheeky app for it, manual updates are the way you have to go.

I'm pretty sure It's not possible in the play store. You could try a play store alternative like aptoide. Aptoide let's you ignore updates and remove them from the list, then you can just hit update all without worrying about apps you don't want to update.

None, I tend to stay away from poorly written apps, as well as uninstall bloat/unused system apps.
I also run on ART, how do you expect me to live with the bloat
I disabled all the bloat then used titanium backup to freeze the rest. Using wake lock detector it showed Facebook not sleeping so I Greenified it.

Alright =)
So Far I froze Moto Care runs in the background all the time and I froze Moto update service it also runs in the background all the time.
I did not see anything else I don't need running that needed to be frozen.

It would be like disabling an app. I use titanium backup to freeze my apps. I bought it a long time ago. You will need to be rooted to freeze an app.

I also use titanium backup one of the main reasons to root...
Moto Update services?

If there's an OTA, you wont be getting notified if you freeze Update Services app.
Also App Quarantine is a free app that can be used to freeze apps and services (needs root)

Yeah I use Textra also. For calendar I use Business Calendar, you SHOULD NOT freeze the Google Calendar because you can't sync calendar. Just info for other people.
