Hi Bro.
You can use the app on the play store called "Glance Plus"
Is very beautiful, but it have a big battery consumption

Don't do it,
Firstly those apps are meant for AMOLED displays, which you don't have, so it is going to drain a lot of battery for basically nothing...

(Request) Dimmer screen setting

Now that's I'm rooted and running a custom kernel I am hoping somebody includes a dimmer screen setting, specifically because I still feel the lowest current setting is too bright when reading it night. I know past rooted devices I've owned have had this feature and it worked well. Thanks!
There is an app called Screen Filter which puts an adjustable shade over the screen to reduce brightness. IMO the whites on the samsung are alittle too white for my taste even at the lowest brightness setting. I use Screen Filter every time I read PDFs. You will love it, its free also.

Thanks. Looks like a good app so far. The dev claims that it will affect battery life but I noticed the soft keys stay the sam brightness which tells me the screen brightness isn't actually being changed. Hopefully something will be baked in to a future ROM.

It will only increase battery life for tablets and phones with AMOLED screens. The tab 10 has an LCD screen so battery life will remain the same.
I second that Screen Filter app. I use it on my DroidX and now the GT10.1. The fact that you can setup a widget for a specific brightness then tab the widget again to go back to the prior setting.
Bump. Any devs working on this for a rom feature?

[Q] S5 Features on S4 ?

Hi all,
I know that the S5 was underwhelming for some and a good upgrade for others, but im not here to talk about that.
I noticed a lot of interesting and innovative features on the S5 namely the Ultra Power Saver Mode which has some pretty bad-ass tricks up its sleeve. Granted that the overall battery savings in done by proprietary tech from LUCID TECHNOLOGIES, the 10% = 24 hrs claim really caught my eye.
This is done by turning the display into black and white screen or greyscale mode. The most notable use for this being
1) Battery savings on AMOLED displays
2) Reading webpages easier for the eye
3) Night usability improves greatly.
I wanted to know if there is any way / app , that can replicate this. I did try to find out on play store and google but all i could manage to find were screen filters and screen dimmers. Non rooted method would be nice
PS: Android offers inverted mode in accessibility menu, where the colors are inverted but its not the same as what S5 offers.
?
Anybody have any idea ?

Is it possible? I do not know if the S5 features for non-root
There are several existing settings such as interface
Try looking at the Galaxy S4 Games and app in this forum
But it needs root

Game Launcher Vs Game Tuner

Hello guys,
My S7 edge came with game launcher but I recently saw that there's a Samsung app called game tuner.. Is it the same thing but for older devices? Can someone tell me what's the difference between both? Because in the description of game tuner they say it's compatible with the S7 edge, but I feel that both apps basically do the same..
Thanks!

Game Launcher arrange all games in one place, like a automatically folder.
Game Tuner adjust some display and performance settings (MAX FPS, Resolution, Texture).
Both works fine together.

Best new features with Nougat for T mobile?

What are some of the best new features for Nougat? I went through all the settings and didn't find too much new stuff.
I really like the performance mode option, the new System UI, and Device Maintenance in general
i missed double tapping recents to quick switch to last app from when I had the V20. Now its feels nice. Plus seeing 3rd party notification icons at the always-on-display.
Like increased resolution, maintenance stuff, ability to force all apps into multi view (developer options)
Like scrolling screenshots too

Didn't know you could do that. Now i do.
Got my update earlier today, in my case the settings menu is nicer, the flashlight LED intensity slider is cool, and the overall look of the UI so far. Nova Launcher works great with Nougat.
Also using Nova

I tried holding on the flashlight icon, after few secs I get a vibration but no intensity slider. I must have the paclage disabled. Am I doing it right.

Where is this slider? I can't find it.
Tap once on the text of the icon, not on the icon itself.
I LOVE marking a message as read from the notification. Smaller toggles are nice too.
The only thing that I dislike is the removal of the fingerprint unlock animation but besides that I've been loving N since the start of the beta
Does anyone notice a difference between 1080p screen resolution and 2k resolution? Just curious

I have been swapping it back and forth, I cannot see a difference. Mind you I have video enhancement turned on so that might be why.

If you take a screenshot while in 1080p mode then zoom in the difference is noticeable. But only if you zoom in. But I've tried using 1080p resolution for several days and saw no battery life increase so I just stick with 2k.
The fact I almost have my note 7 back
Thanks for the replies about screen resolution. I didn't notice any battery or speed difference either, that's why I asked.

Does anyone have the right and full name for the S8 clock font.
And can I use it on my S6 Edge?

If you're looking for a widget search on Google play for XWidget, I know they have the S8 weather one that looks almost exactly the same, maybe they have one for the clock as well.
