For anyone on 4.4.4
There's this lollipop rom from the international section that looks amazing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-5-0-lollipop-tmt-1-0-t2982363
Someone with our N900A variant said you have to be on 4.4.4 to get the rom to work. I would like to know if the rom will work and I haven't updated to 4.4.4 yet. I'm debating on weather I should update or not. Can someone try it out and report back with info?
Thanks!
I tried. It is AROMA installer. Can't load. Asked developer if he could make a non aroma based version.

There's a way to unaroma a rom. I've done it on the Tmo Hyperdrive rom. Try searching it up.

Have you got the lollipop rom working?
@chamelio
I just tried it and it did not work for me... maybe it was just some thing I missed while getting rid of the aroma. I got to the point where it showed the GN3 boot screen with the unlocked padlock but it never went any further, just kept rebooting. Ill try again tomorrow
Thanks

I think we will have to have a kernel and maybe also bootloader to handle the new file system they or not normal apk, they or unpacked folders with related apk and arm folders

Do you think that's possible for our device atm?

I also was able to remove aroma and try to flash this rom with the NC2 kernel as well as the NJ5 kernel. With the NC2 kernel i reach a blank screen and with NJ5 i reach the samsung galaxy note 3 custom screen before it reboots into device recovery. This rom does use a different kernel that we cant flash thanks to a locked bootloader, so in my opinion at this point in time i dont think its possible for our devices to run this rom. We probably won't have lollipop until there is a workaround for the bootloader or we get an official OTA so we then have the proper kernel to run lollipop.

It's really weird that the main A7 model gets 0 to none attention . I hope someone will notice . Thanks for the post though
Bump for this!
We really need a recovery for A700F, we already have root thanks to ShinySide, but without Recovery there's no chance for custom ROMS.
I would have developed/ported it by myself but I haven't found any guide how to do it and I don't have the sufficient knowledge.

Well i could have done it too( I have a bit of knowledge ) but I'm in the last year of senior high-school and in struggling with time :/ If I want to go to the University I should stay focused, else I'd do it for sure. I just hope that someone will notice us and give us some attention

You're wrong, as long as you have root you can install custom roms with Flashfire, in fact it does most things a custom recovery can including backups.
If I get time I'll knock up a build of twrp.
What build is this device running at the moment, is it bootloader unlocked and is it Exynos or qualcomm?
I require someone to upload their recovery.img from the stock firmware.
Note: I don't have this device so a decent tester is required who doesn't mess about.

Test 1, this is a quick test port from an older version of twrp, it may or may not boot on lollipop firmware
flash with odin:

Stock recovery:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347831301
If it doesn't boot take note of what happens, blank screen, bootloop etc

Thats not a problem I just need to adjust the resolution.
It works OK apart from that, backups etc?
Can you check adb works. Load ADB, Connect your device and type ADB DEVICES. See if your device is detected.
What's your time zone? I'm UK so it's around 1.00pm now, won't be home until 7pm ish.
Will you be available for more testing?

So i am sitting at around 3:22 pm on Athens time-zone and the unfortunate thing is that i will be leaving home by 7pm and be returning by 10:30pm (School stuff :/ ) so we can work after i am home ,that'd be around 8:30 for your time-zone. Everything seems usable , I am installing as i am typing, the adb services along with SDK. Will update when i get it up and running. Cheers

Perfect, that's what you should see.
Go ahead with your mods just make sure your backup works first.
Will post up another build later to test with the resolution fix.

Hi everybody! I do not know can this is a coincidence, or only at me so. But the third day reboot, freeze not see. I use RR MM(nightly builds). I wanted to write as I did debrick and after unlock bootloader. If someone is going to do debrik hopefully get rid of reboot, freeze, then try and tell me if helped.
Before that maybe repeated the 5-6 times the normal procedure debrick and unlock bootloader, etc. But, after received a reboot, freeze the very first day.
So, in fact nothing special, no Evrika, not discovered America ... But please check.
1. Debrick. And flash old version 4.3 JB through a AFT. After update official method up to versions 4.3(Android JB 10 WW).
2. After through a ADB flash 4.4(Android KK 54 WW). And here, the most important thing, without having to start firmware ( "to the first boot"), in recovery switch off device forcibly(pressing the a long time button Power) and go bootloader. And unlock bootloader unofficial method.
Don't wait for a miracle. However, I don't have reboot.
you had problems with the bootloader in stock rom?reboots or freezes.

I did like 2 times debrick to JB (because I tested too much).
First time I got freezes. Second time is today I did. Let's see if it gets any freezes or not.
If you get a freeze, it'll freeze again later. (3-4 days later).
If not, let me know again.

I tested nearly every method (even this).
It will give good result but not fully.
My best record was 30 hours and I am using my method.
Nothing gives full non-freeze (for now).
Gosh the freeze still haunt on this phone.

Hello,
Has anyone been able to successfully flash one of these stock firmware .tot files? If so could you please provide a link to the version you used?
As far as I know there isn't currently one available that works with the V20, but I have seen posts claiming to have done so.
-Thanks
