On api3 Can i revert back to stock ? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

While root is nice, phone is just too damn slugish even with tweaks and stuff.
I don't want to mess it up, any clear cut way to get back to stock if i have API3 bootloader?
Thanks!

Someone on here has PK1 files. Just flash them in Odin.
Make sure you have Samsung's drivers installed, then use Odin while your phone is in download mode. PK1 is the latest update (November 2016)

What does this mean ? Does this mean 5.1.1 is available for our sprint phones
No just to get us all ready for it
This is 5.0.1 and it allows us that we're stuck on OE1 to upgrade to the latest firmware

I was on Rooted OB7, Kies told me OF5 was latest and updated me about 10 minutes ago. It took a long time to optimize the apps, (It did it 4 times!) and restarted at least 4 times after update. Things seem to be settling down now. The phone kept all my data, so if you can update using Kies you probably won't have to restore a backup. Also, the phone got real hot during the optimizing, you might want to take it out of any case you are using to keep it from overheating.

No you will have to backup app data with titanium backup... I recommend wiping anyway there's a higher chance there won't be any issues.

Definitely going to flash tonight then.
I can also confirm root with this update. Updated with odin, but it did give me a big bootloop problem after flashing the eng boot. Couldn't get it to work with the "Prince" custom odin or with regular odin 3.12. Had to dl the most recent (3.13 I think it is) and then it finally went.

Hmmmm...not too sure then. Yeah I was on pj2 when I first got my edge last week and wanted root. The only way I was able to do it was flashed Verizon fw which I think was pe1 then root and flash echoe rom. But it was way too laggy for me. So right now I'm on unlocked fw ai3. Which has all bloat removed and seems smoother then sprints pj2 stock fw

Deffinately not package disabler pro. I was able to update with all my packages disabled. Although maybe you have apps disabled that i do not have disabled. Nonetheless i have not seen any major improvements at all in the update. So i would not worry about rushing to get it.

There is a way to use an update.zip via adb, but I've never had to do it. Look in the Nougat beta thread. I recall someone mentioning how to do this early on in that thread. Maybe someone will chime in here.

Yes, but I redownloaded it because I said it wouldn't read so I figured it was a bad download, but it's still not working.

Flash G955U1 With ENG_BOOT.tar And Modified ODIN. HOTSPOT, NO BLOATWARE (Confirmed)

Successfully flashed from G955USQU1AQEF to G955U1UEU1AQE3 using this method.
1. Backup your data. I found out the hard way that the ENG_BOOT.tar will reset the phone (I know... noob mistake).
2. Reboot into download mode and use the modified Odin to flash ENG_BOOT_G955U.tar under BL.
(I rebooted after this and went through the setup... Im not sure if you have to, but I know it will work if you do)
3. Reboot back into download mode and flash the G955U1UEU1AQE3 files in their appropriate fields.
(I didn't use the HOME_CSC, and everything seems to work great!)
I take no credit for the existence of these files.
Enjoy!

There is no root or bootloader unlock, it's just the engineering bootloader. The only useful thing that I have found is that it allows you to flash the G955U1 firmware. It may allow for downgrading, but just attempting what I already did was enough risk for now... Maybe I'll try it at one point.

It doesn't have carrier bloatware, and enables tethering for other carriers. Possibly quicker updates, because there would be no wait for the carrier to release it, not positive on that tho.
