I had to ship my TF101 in for warranty service. It quit charging. The form I included with the tablet showed that I included the charger and cable since it said to do so if it was a charge issue. I did so, and checked the boxes.
When I got my tablet back, the repair was perfect. But no charger and cable.
I called them and they opened a ticket. 4 days later I call back and they told me that the Service center got back with them and there was no charger or cable included with the tablet. That is BS because I packaged it. And they will do nothing else. that cost me 45 bucks. (It was a second charger).
I am very frustrated that this happened. I know, it isn't a huge deal, but thought I would vent nonetheless.
Who did you ship it with? Most shipping company's give insurance when you ship that covers missing items up to a certain cost.
Mine told me NOT to ship accessories, cables or chargers...

So did mine. But there was a line on the form that did say that if it was a charge related issue, I needed to include it.
I guess I will just buy another one and call it a day. Not worth it for me to brood over it..
Try Office Depot or Staples. The OEM chargerand cable is $30.

I can fully understand and agree with your anger and frustration.
I believe the best advice has already been given - get in touch with the shipping company and claim for the missing items.
I completely understand your frustration. That would piss me off as well!

Either try a phone shop, a local Samsung store, or Samsung.com
Are you sure it's the charger IC and not the USB connector. I have never seen a charge IC fail at a samsung yet. If its the connector you can do 2 things, solder a new one yourself for under 10bucks or get a replacement piece of the logic board its on (~50bucks).
Connectors and cracked screens are not part of warranty service, its fault by user policy.

Try another USB charger, it won't affect the device, or as the post above yours said, check if it's the device not the charger.

Damn i totally misunderstood you, i thought you meant an "IC" instead of an "AC".
The IC is a small component that regulates the power supply on your motherboard
Hi,
I've bought by error on the Google Store 2 of this item https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_usb_standard_a_adapter
I can't cancel the order because it's processing. I thought it was Mini USB to Type C adapter.
Do you know any good cable available in France that are USB 3 and are not a danger for my future 6P that I can plug on this adapter?
I could send back my order to Google but I don't know how to do this and how much it will cost to me.
(Please note that I also ordered this https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_usb_standard_a_plug_cable, I should have bought 3 of this instead of 1 of this and 2 of the adapter).
Thank you for your help.

There is no USB A to A on Google's store. What you linked was a Male Type-C to a Female Type-A adapter, then a Type-A to Type-C charging cable. You can always refuse delivery if you don't want the item which is easy to do. The first cable you linked should not be used for charging and is primary intended fro the Chromebook Pixel if I'm not mistaken. I would check the other OP in this forum showing all of the trusted cables instead of creating a new OP. I am going to recommend that this OP gets merged into there as well.
Please check here for good USB Type-C cables: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/accessories/usb-type-c-cables-reviewed-google-t3240861

I talked to a Google Rep and he told me that he can't modify my order since I made it like 3 days ago.
he told me to call them when I receive the order and they will give me instructions to send it back. I will check your link for USB charging cables, thank you.
EDIT: I thought they were intended for 6P because they are accessories linked at the bottom of the 6P store page.

That's correct, you can't modify the order but you can refuse the delivery when it arrives assuming you don't want anything in that order. I have the iorange USB Type-A to Type-C and it meets the USB standard as mentioned by the Google Engineer checking the cables.

Unfortunately I can't tell the girl that will receive my order at my office to refuse it, she's not here for that, she is already nice to handle orders for us.
I'll simply send it back and order good cables instead. I saw belkin cables but they are so expensive, almost 40€ for a cable, thats Apple pricing ahah

Guys How can I request full refund from Oneplus for the OP5 phone in India? Oneplus Refund link This Oneplus offical indian website link says I can refund within 15 days.
Have anyone got full refund from Oneplus before? Whats the process? The process is not clearly explained in the Indian Oneplus website clearly.
Can I just go to service center in bangalore and return it?
I bought my phone through amazon.in.
Any guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks
Hi, you can go ahead and return your product within 10 days of delivery of product. You can find the option in my orders page. Amazon will refund you full amount with no questions asked. May I know the reason bro, why you are returning it ?

I bought the phone from amazon.in so my orders page is empty in oneplus website. Amazon.in customer care saying they dont have policy to refund in 10 days but only replacement
Most eCommerce sites have kept only replacement policy for a very obvious reason. If there is an issue you have with the phone, you would want a replacement not a refund.
If eCommerce sites start giving 'no questions asked' refunds, people will try out every new launch for 10 days and return it.
Even replacement is tough now in amazon.in.........technician visits you and checks the phone...if he is convinced that it is faulty then replacement will be provided otherwise no.........I just returned mine as it was a faulty device and since there was no replacement peice available they agreed for refund.....may i know why are you returning?

I too am feeling a slight buzz in the metal body when the phone is being charged using an AC adapter, but not when using a power bank. It becomes worse if you use a non OP charger from say Anker, Samsung, etc. How did Amazon proceed with the replacement?
Is there anybody else who is facing this issue?

I see this on that page -
Please note: Self Service RMA is only applicable to devices purchased on OnePlus.net. You will need to contact OnePlus Customer Support Team if you purchased your device from one of our official distributors.
So you can try that but I don't think Amazon will entertain you directly.

It has nothing to with earthing/ground as the adapter is 2 pin and lacks the 3rd earthing pin.
Besides, I have used the same OP5 adapter with my OP2 and there's no buzzing effect. All my phones work perfectly with the OP5 adapter and with adapters from other manufacturers. including Samsung, Apple and Anker. You won't feel this when you're using a power bank.

Bro, if you feel a buzz with all metal handsets there's some issue. Please check for earth leakage (earth faults increase during the monsoon) and power supply frequency. You may need to ask your electrician to check the wiring and the earthing in your home. Please do this at the earliest as faulty wiring is risky.
For e.g. I just checked at my place; voltage is 242 VAC, frequency is 50.01 Hz and earth leakage average voltage is 0.55V, well within recommended limits.
even i have this buzz effectt.. its both in office & at home.. earthing is perfectly fine at both the places..
in long run, this will affect the battery & the circuit of the phone..
I have this buzz effect too. Slight shock while the phone is charging.
But OP3 and OP3T is also metal and using the same socket and same charger, there is no shock in those devices.
It seems like only OP5 is affected.
I bought op5 128 from oneplusstore.in. Now I can't find a option to return it. When I click on "service request" under my op5 order, it shows only replacement option and not the return one. Have anybody done return through oneplusstore.in ?? if so please help!
So last night something strange happened: I plugged The axon in the wallcharger and let it charge. (universal bootloader, LOS Rom)
A few minutes later i came back and the charging Light went off.. No Computer recognizes or charges the device.(on or off state, neither in recovery or bootloader)
I tested a bunch of other cables and chargers and nothing helped. Now I flashed Stock B04 bootstack+system+Stock revert, did a full wipe.
Sadly i had no time to lock The bootloader before The devices battery died.
Anyone knows how to fix this or something about RMA with unlocked bootloader? Bought it from Amazon Germany.
Thank you
I bricked my Axon, when I tried to instal purenexus rom after owning the device for 9 months. It went in bootloop and I could not bring it back to life. I have send an email on amazon.de and they said that they do not offer a repair and because there were any on stock, they refunded all the money without questions asked. I have send it back and that was it. After more than a month of searching for a new phone, I ordered Axon 7 again on amazon.de for 90 € less. I got it 4 days ago. Axon is best choice for me right now. Well that was my experience...
Normally folks who can no longer charge their device whilst powered can still charge it when it is turned off. Any luck?

Sadly no charging at all... i Think the charging electronics are defective
Your usb connector is broken. Probably tin is broken on some of the pins if USB connector is directly on motherboard. If it has flet connector then it's cheaper and easier to replace whole USB charging board. My axon 7 works flawlessly so I didn't have opportunity to repair device by my self yet. You can also check charging brick and cable if those two works.

The USB-C is a big module with the vibrator and antenna, but you can change it easily. But I don't know if it is worth changing since the motherboard might as well be the culprit
If you can RMA it I'd say it's better. They may charge you some money if they actually change a piece and test it, but if they send you a new one they won't actually see that it was unlocked, but they are probably still low on replacement phones
I just checked on net only thing I found was on AliExpress which is overpriced 66$ do to spare part shortage. Good thing that everything can be repaired even flet connector which is a nightmare to repair. Only thing which is unrepairable is broken LCD or AMOLED. If u still have warranty on your phone it's better to send it to ZTE. That's the problem these days with some manufacturers. You can't find spare parts especially brands that are not known to people like Prestigio, Tesla, Coolpad etc
Amazon Germany will send me a New device for free because w-support does not have parts for it. They didn't mention anything about The unlocked bootloader.
I also had unlocked bootloader. There were no problems...
