As the title states for some reason. Wi-Fi is constantly running.
No idea how or why. Nothing is enabled. Wi-Fi calling is also off.
Thank you in advance!

Better battery stats....... Is that a 3rd party app?
Could be that that battery app is miss reading something and giving you false information based on your other screen shots.
@shwnr11
That could be it. Better Battery Stats is a well known XDA application made by a member here named chamonix.
It is free for us XDA members but it is also a Paid application on the PlayStore.
I'll read up on his thread to see if he can point me into the right direction.
I wanted to come on here first to see if anyone else with a V20 is using this application and having the same problem.
I recently rooted my phone and at first I did not use a Custom Rom like (Overdrive, Etc.) and I ran into the same problem where the stats are showing Wi-Fi constantly running. I thought I may have deleted or frozen something using TitaniumBackup and I just could not figure it out at all and decided to go ahead and try the Overdrive Custom Rom to see if was something I did.
And of course after setting up my phone BetterBatteryStats is showing Wi-Fi is constanly running again...even on a clean install of a Custom Rom. It is not "On" because that is labeled as something else within the stats and it does not seem to be draining battery even though it shows "100%" battery usage. I am still achieving at the end of the day "1.0%" drain every hour.
But I appreciate you commenting and not just "Viewing" like the other 100 or less viewers have.
I still have no idea what would cause this type of battery usage with the Wi-Fi.
I decided to go ahead and do a fresh clean install of OverDrive's Custom Rom. I have not loaded any of my apps from Titanium Backup but Better Battery Stats.
After 2 hours now BBStats does not show this type of battery usage anymore.
So I am even more puzzled now. It may be that I deleted an app or apk or frozen something that requires Wi-Fi to behave properly.
Is there a list of aps or apks that we can safely remove or freeze?

Check in developer options and make sure allow WiFi room scans is turned off, when on it sends your location data to Google even when you turn WiFi off.
wifi
Common sense isn't all that common
@ZDeuce2
That was the first place I thought to look because I remember that being an issue with the Nexus 6 but unfortunately it was already disabled.
But I believe it may have been something I deleted or froze because I went ahead restored all of my apps one by one that I had prior just to see if it was an app of mine and I did not delete or freeze or anything this time around and Wi-Fi is not showing any usage at all with the BBStats app.
Yea I am puzzled but I am a happy camper now. BBStats is showing a solid "0.2%" battery usage every hour! Getting awesome battery life now.
Thank you though good sir for the comment.

Hello,
I've a big battery issue on my LG G2... Everything was working fine and my battery held 1,5 days in normal use. Yesterday I noticed a dramatic battery performance, I have to charge my phone every 3 or 4 hours I can't even charge it while its on because it continue de discharging...
In the battery details, I noticed that there is new "Media" app running all the time and the phone is becoming very hot while it's in my pocket. This application is eating my batterie and I don't know how to stop it...
Any help please? I uploaderd some screenshots for you.
Thank you

In addition to this, get wakelock detector and see whats stopping your device from deep sleep

press long button till taskmanager appears kill it there, could be onetime error.
Happens more often then press home longtime, open taskmanager and press menu button, disable if its a service from there.

Thank you for you help. My phone is rooted. I installed Greenify and wakelock... Unfortunately this media app is a kind of multiple system services, it dont show in the task manager or greenify... And I can't stop it form the menu cause it restart again (the force stop button is disabled)...
The services are:
- Media Storage
- Downloads
- DRM Protected Content Storage
- Download Manager
And they are using 90% of my CPU all the time (doing what ever they are doing)... I've made some search and it seems that it's an android related problème (not only the LG G2)... I've disabled the Downloads, DRM Protected Content Storage and Download Manager services... But I cannot disable the Media storage... It seems that this service keep scanning a corrupted media file (MP3 and photos...), so I deleted all my MP3 but no way
I finally done a reset to factory settings... Will see
Try Rescan Media
I had the same problem om my GS3, this solved it.
do you have fully synced backup aps running,
try disabling in this case via settings, general, backup&restore the checkbox at backup my data.
That way you probably wont have to disable those services.
I think some app, or this backup settings have gone amuck. Factory reset is last resort, but otherwise clearing cache\app data of backup stuff might help.

What Bachera said. Sounds like you have an app that's eating you alive. Titanium Backup then Factory reset. Don't restore anything until you test your phone, then if all is well add apps one at a time. DON"T restore system data. Good luck!
Actually it's a new phone (and i'm new at Android as well) so I didn't have that much data to backup... I did a rest to factory setting with no backup. It's working for the moment
Hi.
I'm getting some weird battery drain on my N4. I'm running a pretty raw collection of incomplete things right now, so I know mmmv, but I'm trying to track down which program or service is throwing this partial wakelock. It comes up as "Google Services" in the battery settings and as "*sync*/com.android.browser/com.google/[gibberish]@gmail.com" in BetterBatteryStats.
See the attached pictures. I'm on a more or less stock early kitkat rom from PA, 0-day GApps, and ART.
I bet this drain will go away when some or all of those are updated, but I'm otherwise very happy with my phone as-is so if I could solve this without reverting to JB or Stock that'd be great. If I can't, I might try Dalvik again and see if it helps.

What ya still doing on the AOSP ROM? Get yourself a factory image and then tweak/flash away! its your 'services'.
If you don't want to change when I didn't as well (also used AOSP 4.4 for a while!) I just backed up everything on PC and factory reset and wiped data. It then resolved my wake lock issues, hopefully it works out!

Go to Settings -> Location, choose Battery Saving or Device only. In addition, do you use Google+? If no, disable or uninstall it. Reboot the phone and monitor battery usage to see if still draining fast. If still, try to clear cache and dalvik cache in recovery.

@millerkai Disable Sync in browser settings. Then reboot once to make sure it stops immediately.
Edit:For better battery results yo may check the links for wakelocks and battery life in my signature

Sorry for the slight necro.
I am having this wake lock frequently myself, doesn't seem to take a huge hit on the battery but does keep phone from deep sleep.
I looked all over the settings in browser app, couldn't find sync, can anybody assist in location.
Bump
Nobody else has any of these wake locks?

Hi all, got my Note 3 Thursday and I love it, came from a Z1 and what I love the most is the battery life. I'm a pretty heavy user and so far I'm getting at least 6hrs screen on which is awesome for me!
Anyway I noticed today that even though my GPS hasn't been on its showing on in battery stats

but when I did turn the GPS on it shows its off, it's like it's inverted strangely....rebooted phone still same.
I will back up and factory reset it tomorrow, but wanted to check if anyone else had this before, I did search but nothing came up. BTW I'm stock unrooted.

A colleague of mine is having same problem but with wifi, it's inverted....I will point out though it doesn't seem to have an effect on battery life. Must be a visual bug.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Edit: mine wasn't inverting like yours, just showing the gps on when it was off.
I isolated this down to google maps, I didn't notice a drop in battery, but It bugged me none the less. Once location was blocked in Xprivacy it stopped reporting GPS-on in the battery stats. This might fix it: Try temporarily disabling google maps from app info and see if it stops, then re-enable.

OP screen looks strange and looks nothing like mine: I have GPS on all the time and actually used maps for driving from work today and GPS shows active only when screen was on. With screen off on mine GPS shows off as well, where OP shows GPS active all the time. I wonder if OP has some program requesting GPS position at all times, even with screen off. Maybe some anti theft tracking or showing OP position to friends and family? Maybe same program over rides off setting? I never heard of settings being inverted, but maybe there is some system error.
Thanks for your feedback, after trying a few things: disabling Gmaps, rebooting device, turning off location services still no joy. So before doing a factory reset I reset the app preferences, which you can do but going to settings>app manager>all>press menu and then select ' reset app preferences' and it worked.
So it must if been some app causing this, I don't have a tracking app apart from the Android device manager, which is on, a bit stumped what it was but now glad it's gone as my OCD was going through the roof!! ?

I had the same problem, all my GPS settings were set to off but somehow the Battery stats were showing that the GPS was all time on! I tried many things until I found the real culprit, and in my case was not the OS software but an App that is keeping the GPS on despite closing it! The App (2GIS) is of course related to GPS as it includes navigation among its features. The solution was to close the app and reboot my device instead of deleting that app as I really want it! So I will advise anyone with this problem to find every app on their phone which uses GPS and monitor them, hopefully you will track down the culprit!
Hi,
I have had my G2 for a few months now and have taken all the usual battery saving measures. On a normal work day, I can leave work with approx 60% battery left. No sync and no apps running in the background. I use task manager regularly and Clean Master to keep my battery lasting as long as possible. However, for no discernible reason, my battery has started running down at an alarming rate today. When i look at my running apps the list covers almost every app i have whereas normally it might have just a couple. I haven't downloaded any new apps or updated anyand my OS is up to date. Am i the only one experiencing this?
Thanks
Assuming you've already tried setting Location Mode to Battery Saving instead of High Accuracy, check to see what's consuming most of the battery (Settings--> Battery; tap on the battery icon).

If the problem is not to do with wakelocks, then it is probably due to a badly calibrated battery. Download two apps: advanced battery calibrator and batterycalibration. Follow the instructions of batterycalibration first. Then the next day, charge your phone to 100 percent, then follow the instructions on advanced battery calibrator.
That should fix the battery life.
However, if it is wakelocks, download wakelock detector from the play store and screenshot the cpu wakelocks page please. Then, post the results on here.
Hi, I have location turned off completely. Battery use says my screen display but that is set either to auto or 50% today, I normally have it on full and last the day easily. It's been great up until today, for some reason all the apps are running in the background within seconds of killing them all off.

Hi, I'm going to look into wake locks, not heard of them before. What would cause my battery to go from being great yesterday to badly calibrated today?
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
Maybe some apps you started toda are draining lots of battery since there is always google/whatsapp or facebook and many other apps keeping synchronizing in the background. I dont know or you have facebook but i had that app and that drained alot of battery on my nexus 4.
Uninstall clean master and task manager, this apps draining a lot of energy. Make a hard reset after this.

The battery improvement is significant for sure after the update, I also found that using samsung package disabler to freeze some of the app is not causing the battery drain any more. (My personal experience before the update was disabling app using package disabler actually causing some of the battery drain). I will attach the one I disabled right now. So far there doesn't seem to be any effect on battery life. I didn't disable the knox or samsung pay function as I use them quite often. I'm also try to be less aggressive with the app I disable. App that could making the communication in the background I try to avoid disabling them.
Also, I found greenify's aggressive doze function seems to working for me. At least, help extend battery a little bit when not in use. I only open the aggressive doze function and never force it to hibernate app. I also exclude many of my frequently used app from hibernation list.
The apps I have freezed using package disabler
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5iHdAT2Mw5lRjYzUHlXS0FuUmc/view?usp=sharing
I will upload some result tonight.
Hope I can hear more tips from other users. I keep getting about 60% or more left after the update with about 2 hour of sot when I go to sleep compare to maybe 30% to 40% left before the update. I don't use dark theme as I like lighter color. Also, I use chrome browser and listen to a lot of pod cast when I'm drove home. I also try to close the screen when using GPS to save power but my location is always set at high accuracy, I tried GPS only mode but don't think that effect battery life of the phone. I want to use the phone as normal as possible. Different people have different usage, If you using GPS all the time and turn off the screen while using it. The screen on time probably pretty low but still have high battery usage. Therefore, I believe SOT to be highly subjective.
I also read that the best way to protect battery is not let it fall below 40% or 50%. So after some more testing, if I found the battery report seems to be stable after this update. I will just using wireless charger to top it off during work time.
