P9 Lite VNS-21 random restart - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello to all,
I have a smartphone Huawei P9 Lite version VNS-L21 with firmware version VNS-L21c432b160
Following the update of the firmware, the phone when it is idle or while using or telephoning, randomly restarts without any errors.
I tried to perform a reset to factory conditions, but nothing done.
Now I wanted to completely reinstall the firmware via SD Card, but I noticed that there is also the version of the B161 firmware.
The problem is that by the Updater app, this update B161 does not appear to me!
Able to make the manual flash version of the B161 or if there is some reason why appears in updater app
Obviously I do not intend to lose the guarantee.
Sorry for my bad english
I look forward to your advice

If you are on VNS-L21c432b160, update via OTA to VNS-L21c432b161 is not going to happened...
I think if you wait for OTA, next update for you is B170...
You cand make a manual update to B161, update will going ok,
but you will find out that firmware version will not change, remain B160...
In my case is tested from B130 to B131, from B150 to B151 and from B160 to B161.
Update proceed without error, but firmware version not change...

then, should I reinstall the firmware B160?
If the problem occurs again what can I do to try to understand the problem?
The phone has also restarted after resetting to factory conditions, without installing other apps.
the problem is that Random happen, it does frequently

Try with C432B130 firmware as reference.
Those symptoms unknown for me and i make many flashes/reflashes with different versions and
i din not experience even a single random restart of phone...
I suspect a hardware problem...

Can I install an older version of the firmware without losing the warranty with completely stock phone? If possible ... Where do I find the firmware? Thank you

Updating up/down with stock firmware's not affects warranty...
You will find L21C432B130.zip here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=16538#downloads
Keep in mind: every time when make updating on your phone, something can make wrong and you can brick your phone.

B330 no more available?

This is a bit weird. When I saw that B370 is rolling out in Germany, I tried update on phone to check if update is available. Now strangest thing is, that even B330 is not showing. I'm on B180 and about month ago I received notifications that B330 is available.
I even updated to B330, didn't liked it, rolledback to B180 and even after rollback i could update to B330. Now there is no update available. Even tried with HiSuite....but nothing.

I have the same issue! I don't know what is going on.
Now I found out that HiCare, when I started it, it asked me to update itself. So I did.
Now HiCare shows me OS early adoption update...something and when I press on it, it shows me that I can update to B370?
Weird huh? Even though regular updater doesn't show that there is an update.

Yes , it is really weird.

I didn't rooted phone
Sent from my Huawei Honor 7
Jesus , then i really don't know how to help you..
Have you tried manually updating the phone? Try to download the b330 and then update to b370.
I found out how regular update can be done.
Just applying thru HiCare and accepting new version B370, phone updater gained access and now it is able to update B370/

HiCare needs to be updated normally.
Then when setup (region and user agreement) is done it should present a new update.
Full HiSuite backup is highly recommended.
If on B180, the update should have 1.19GB if on B330 should be around 400MB.
I´ve updated manually (got errors probably due to unroot and restock recovery image) from B180 to B330 then automatically to B370.
Factory reset, format microSD, full HiSuite restore and clean as a whistle.

You should rollback to MM, but be carefull, don t make a factory reset cause u ll have a bootloop. After this, use the firmware Finder app and download B370 if your device it s L31 and be careful to have 1900mb
Hello,
My phone did the Update to nougat. Everything after the update messed up. Apps were deleted etc. I did a factory reset. After that i wasn't able to get to my mobile desktop. So i bought DC-Unlocker to unlock FRP. This worked.
So for now, i am not able to rollback with the rollback packages.
It says: "Software Install failed! The update package does not exist. Please download the package again."
It's also NRD90M-test keys
Can anyone please help me? Its an VNS-L31 from Germany.
I did it with rollback package. Worked for me.
Flashed b160, got Update message for b370.
I dont get why i got update message for b371 with 1,2gb first.
Huawei P9 Lite dual sim VNS-L21
After OTA upgrade to Nougat I noticed some missing apps;
- Factory reset - "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly"
- Hard reset - the same massage
After boot says NRD90M test keys at software info. Phone is in some kind of loop with this "failed verification" message at every starup.
What should I do? Send it to warranty or risk fix it myself? I will not succeed without a step by step guide because I never did this before. I do not know what vershion I had before NRD90M test-keys

A working version of Nougat should be fine for me.

Huawei P9 lite - force upgrade firmware

Hi everybody,
I'm struggeling with my phone and trying to upgrade it to Nougat.
I have the same issues that many of you already explained. when I'm on Marshmallow, I receive the notification to Nougat but it's the incomplete version (1,25gb). I tried many rollback and it's the only upgrade I receive.
I also try to find firmware with Firmware finder, I have a long list of firmware but none can be installed. [three button method, during the installation it says software installation failed (or something like that).
So my question, do you have a method to force the installation of an stock firmware without rooting the phone?
many thanks !

i cant update p10 lite

Hey, i have this version of p10 lite WAS-LX1c432b124 dual sim, and i think in the past i did something wrong because now i cant update my android , and emui. i cant factory reset, i tried a lot of times and nothing, i just want to update.. because im getting updates but every time i tried to update i get the software install failed error... i tried using the firmware finder app and nothing, also i tried moving the dload to the sdcard and updating but it stops at 5% and i get another error... software install failed get help from......
can someone help me please
Have you tried HiSuite? My phone seemed to stop updating when I had gone through Firmware Finder in the past, but using HiSuite I picked up an update 2 months ago and more recently an OTA update.
Didn't work, I can't update my phone and I think is because I did something wrong in the past, like unlocking bootloader or something. I can't factory reset too..

Received same versiyon update with plus (E)

Hello. My Phone emui software is 9.0.1.191 and today my Phone received ota with 9.0.1.191(E). What iş this? If i can update my Phone, can it be brick?

It should say, for example, 9.0.1.191 (C432E4R1P11). So something is wrong with your /cust or /version.
Updating will probably do nothing but add that (E).
A way to fix that is to flash 9.0.1.191 dload, but dload does a factory reset and locks bl.
You can find dload firmware on androidhost.ru.
Seen the same, 9.0.1.191 from FF, wanted update to .191 (E)... so I updated through the on device updater app... no difference.
BTW, better get .194 instead, at least has June 2019 patches.
