Noticed on Vodafone DE's website they have an updated firmware download
http://www.vodafone.de/business/support_download/59345_90608.html
This is for version 1.20.162.3
I notice that my device is running 1.20.161.5
Other than (I assume) providing German language support, anyone else know what is this firmware update is worth using for a UK device ?
Steven
There's already a thread on the upgrading forum about the german voda rom:

Hi Friends,
Please can anyone tell me when can i get gingerbread update for my DHD.
I have bought a DHD T-Mobile Germany branded but I am using it in Kuwait,
Also i am using the local Network provider, when i contacted HTC they told me that its scheduled for Q2 2011 and to check T-Mobile Germany as they release the updates.
So please let me know that my update will be based on T-Mobile Germany or OTA Update for Middle east.
Thanks in Advance.
Hi,
I want to install the default radio from the latest vodafone au legend firmware variant A6363 (900/2100Mhz)
How does one go about extracting it?
cheers,
Ben
P.s.
How do i confirm my variant is actually A6363
Regarding your last question:
On the back of the box, on one of the barcode stickers, it should say the Phone's name and the model number.
Since I have a Canadian Bell HTC Legend, it shows HTC Legend A6365.
Hi,
I took the plunge and went the Mango route before the official T Mobile Mango came out. Looks like it was a long wait!
Everything worked, however I had to "de-brand" the handset during the process - I thought nothing of doing this. Mango is Mango, are we rite ?
Nope.
Internet Tethering I really need. (Just like the 99.9% that have "de-branded" thier handsets.
How do you go about re-branding your handset back to T-Mobile?? Then would you install the Rom way before Mango came out, and then get the T-Mobile Mango through Zune (the one hopefully with Internet Therthing)

Hello!!!As you all know our GT-I9505 phone updated recently to lollipop vesion of android. There are 3 PDA versions: I9505XXUHOA7 (the leaked german one) ,I9505XXUHOB8(the vodafone one) and I9505XXUHOB7(the UK one). I would like to know ,by your opinion ,which one do you believe is the more stable version for our phone!!!Well...which is????
All are stable. The leaked German version and the UK version have no carrier branding within them. The other one obviously is Vodafone so it's going to have Vodafone apps.
The UK version I feel is the best choice. It has no carrier branding and has been updated compared to the leaked German build. The Vodafone version I would avoid unless you want their bloatware on your device.
