So... fu**ed? Since the upgrade to B336 my phone will not recognize any of my (15 or so) SIMs. None inserted, no matter in which slot I put them.
So I tried downgrading to B229 and MM. No dice. dload has never and probably will never work on this device. fastbootin' it seems to work with B229 but doesn't - no change. MM can't be fastboot flashed thanks to whatthef**k ever partition errors. Same goes for the few Custom ROMs.
I'm out of ideas now after trying pretty much everything in my arsenal. Any ideas? And yes, of course I tried with multiple SIM cards. Same with all of them.
Anyone? Bueller? Thanks... because I'm tempted to OEMInfo it and lying my way into a new one...
Try that :
1-unlock
2-flash recovery for nuga
3- flash OEMInfo ( C432 )
4 - flash MM with dload method (it will work now)

Good day all,
In the process of trying to debrand my huawei P9 Lite I think I may have mad a stuff up.
I downloaded: VNS-L21_C432B120_Firmware_CEE&Nordic European_Channel-Others_Andriod 6.0_EMUI 4.1_05013RHT.zip
Extracted the files and copied the update.app to the dload folder on the sd card.
Turned off the phone and initiated the update.
It re flashed the phone and everything appeared fine.
Phone no longer has vodafone nonsense on it
It now reports software version as : VNS-C900b150
Any other attempt to update the phone results in "Software is incompatible"
I see on the box the phone is a VNS-L31 - so I think I flashed the incorrect firmare.
I tried Killer8e's toolkit : http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/europe-vns-l31-toolkit-bootloader-t3432873
But this always displays phone model as unknown.
Is there a way to "force" a flash back to VNS-L31
Forgot to mention: Everything on the phone appears to be working fine in its current state.
Thanks

Have you tried to flash a l31 rom with the dload method?

Just to clarify, The dload method is uncompressing the firmware and copying uppdate.app to a dload folder on the sd card.
If so then yes I have. It gets to 5% and then tells me incompatible software error and reboots.

Well, if you say that your device is fully functional, you can use it like that.
But if you want to restore it I personally think at two options:
1 - Try to force the update by modifying the build.prop and replace the model number (vns-l21 with vns-l31) but you will need a lot of patience
2 - Decompress the update.app and flash partitions manually via fastboot (boot, system, data, recovery, modem, cust and any other partitions are in the update.app)
Thanks for the help.
I will try the fastboot method. I will search for it myself now, but if anyone has a decent howto it would be appreciated.
Hello, i'd like some help to unbrick my phone
I tried to root it through TWRP but it couldn't mount some directories so I tried that filesystem modification trick so I just wiped everything (including System) by mistake.
I've been trying since 5+ hours already to reinstall the original ROM/firmware without any success.
I tried to :
- Hold the 3 buttons with the update.app into the dload folder (wont work and will just stop at 5% and tell me it failed) with 2 differents update versions
- Flash system, boot & recovery manually through fastboot and retry to use the update.app, still stopping at 5%
- Tried to use the eRecovery through wifi, tells me it failed to get package infos
I couldn't find anything on the official website, not even the firmware.
Here is the filesystem of all my directories
System - EXT4
Data - F2FS
Cache - EXT4
And my external sd card is small and can only handle the update.app with about 100MO.
The 2 versions I used on the dload were B520 and B100.
I'm CAN-L01 btw

Extract B100 with huawei firmware extractor and flash all images in fastboot mode
done
Did this solution work? I'm exactly in the same situation right now, and am wondering how a different fw will be any Better than flashing an original one for the actual cellphone.
Is the b100 the same spec?
Also looking for my product id, but as it's stuck in bootloader there's no chance of me getting it
Bootloader needs to be locked in order to get passed the protection apparently. I'm in unlocked and root. Apparently.

If your frp is locked, then it's very difficult to flash by any method, maybe some paid tools can fix.
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Paid tools did the job.
Used dcunlocker and it's phoenix application, they got me the official firmware for my phone. Took me an age to download as their servers were slow, but they were kind and helped me through
Hi, I have tried all night to install a custom rom and recovery for my huawei p9 lite (VNS-L21).
I've managed to flash Ressurection Remix with Meticulus' TWRP but now my sim card doesn't work.
It's detected but i can't make calls, send messages or use data.
I want to go back to stock EMUI but i don't know how exactly. I've found an update.app for my model but it won't install. I've lost my recovery and i can't flash a new one despite the bootloader being unlocked. Can anyone help me please or guide me how to restore it back to it's original state?
If it helps it was the VIP mobile Serbia model, CM-hi6250.
Thanks in advance, I really want to just have a working phone

If you lost Twrp you must flash it via fastboot command. After that it is neccesary to flash Oem C432 zip. In that step you can chose if you want oem for single or dual sim. I suggest to flash Oem C432 dual sim using TWRP.. On SD card you need to place in dload folder firmware full b160 in format update.app. When the Oem is flashed turn off phone (please dont let to reboot phone after flashing of oem ) , press power+volume up+ volume down, hold them a few seconds after you see logo screen, release buttons and full revovery will start. Oem L21C432 dual sim flashable zip file you can find here or in our local forum on benchmark.
All the best.

i had this problem too cause i was not attentive...
Create a dload folder in your sd card and search for an "update.app" file that is right for your device. Place it in the dload folder then press power button+ volume up+volume down to do a force stock ROM installment after install remove sdcard enter stock recovery make a wipe...restart done
Tell me if it works<3
Hey guys, after i unbrick my phone with one of the pe lite's version available in the web, it's written in the case of version 'NRD90M test-key', for fix this problem I decide the flash the oeminfo, but unfortunately that just get worse, undetected sim card, inability to unistall and even the inability to access the developer settings to unlock oem, I've tried to dload the same version as the oeminfo, but in vain, dload fail.
So the question is, why the dload failed and how to fix the problem, maybe I have an old sd card (class 4)? (I've a p9 lite l21)
Thank you in advance guys !!!
Up
Did you flash the correct oeminfo? It might the problem, check it
I didn't flash the correct oeminfo of the original version of my phone but I tried to flash a l21 oeminfo and update my phone to the same version. I didn't see a problem with that because it's the same hardware.
Try the official rollback package

Thanks foliaje, I have tried WAS-LX1AC432B179 and its not working. The phone boots fine. Basically, I rooted and it tried to update via TWRP and failed. Now trying to restore to stock and getting this error. DO you have a link to the exact firmware that I can try - tried several of them now and its failing.
Ok, I managed to go back to stock by downloading via Firmware Finder. So, dload method via SD Card don't work with this phone or what? Would appreciate if someone can confirm?

Hey foliaje, Thanks for your help, appreciate it.
Let me explain my issue: I have purchased my phone yesterday, it upgraded to 185 (I am assuming it was B183, didn't check) via OTA. Then I almost finished setting up the phone including ROOT but a b187 OTA appeared little bit later but failed because I had TWRP already installed. That's fine, no problem. So wanted to start again like I usually do - download the firmware, put on sd card and off you go......
But the problem with this phone is (and I had quite few Huawei one's including tablets) when I downloaded the full firmware, using the SD card dload method I get "Software Install Failed" but it seemed to have worked when I did it via Firmware Finder (I am on B187 now). So something not right - either something has changed or I need to do something else.
So what's the issue? The only think I can think of here is that you are saying that this phone require a 'service' firmware that does not do authentication or something? Right? I am downloading C432B183 from your link and will see what happens (bit slow).
I really would like to know now so I can get back to stock when I mess things up
OK...I followed as below:
Downloaded http://androidhost.ru/JS
(1) Copied main UPDATE.APP to dload folder
(2) Then renamed WAS-L01A_hw_eu\update_WAS-L01A_hw_eu.app to UPDATE.APP and copied to dload folder
Is above method correct, can we do it in one go?
Anyway, I think it has worked (had to do few reset) but the firmware version was showing WAS-LX1AC432B179 - is that correct? OTA upgraded to WAS-LX1AC432B185

In the UK and have exact same model. Filmware finder did not work for me also. The one in the link below did though! Its the first download you need. Copy the update.app and the folder 'L01A' to the 'dload' folder on your sd card. Does your phone boot? If so in the dialer type *#*#2846579#*#* and choose software upgrade then sd card update, it will then flash the filmware to pure stock.

Yes, its all good now. Bizarre - Huawei making things difficult now. Which TWRP are you using? Can the TWRP backup function works for you i.e. encryption disabled?
