Unofficial CM14.1 for Galaxy S7 EDGE SNAPDRAGON(G9350) has been released a couple of days ago, anyone knows other ROMs for G935F basing on CM14.1?
AOSP (CM) doesn't get along with Exynos. AFAIK there's nothing in the making regarding AOSP on any of the Exynos variants and it is unlikely there ever will be a functional build. A little search would've told you that.

The AOSP and cyanogen Roms which are available all of them have camera issues and other bugs. Why is it so?
Is it impossible to run AOSP on s4 i9500? If yes, then why so?
Is it because developers are slacking and just dont want to make a AOSP custom rom for s4 i9500 or there is something which limits developer from making AOSP avialable for s4 i9500. maybe samsung hasnt given tools or drivers to developers.
All the custom roms available for s4 i9500 . They all have written at the end of the thread that The rom is based on Stock firmware.
What is a firmware? Isnt it same as kernel?
Yeah I know I am total noob.

CM Based

Don't panic, I can see ROMs based on AOSP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop
I have personally never seen a i9500 so I beleive they are just not that common or shipped to countries where there is a lack of devs. How about cooking your own? I've started to develop my own ROM which I'm using right now.
Firmware is a full system
The kernel also partly firmware
The kernel is the core of android
If no kernel will not boot
Note: sorry if i am wrong
I9500 has an exynos chipset which had been looked down by Samsung. This has been the case since the Galaxy S2. AOSP Roms exist for the i9500 but they won't be the most stable things you will try, so you are better off staying with the original software or a rom based on the original software.

Developing your own ROM is cool thing. That's what I will be doing after my next month exams.. I dont actually own a s4 i9500 but my cousin has it. I have xolo a500s. It's pretty looking device. I would like to port 4.4 kitkat AOSP rom on it.. :victory:

Thanks for replying. I think you are right. Firmware = rom + kernel.

Yeah that's it. Samsung doesn't share the full source code of it's exynos chip. half of the sourcecode is closed source. They just don't give the full source code to the developers. That's why developers fail to make custom kernels and roms.
But now I wonder why do samsung do this? Maybe they dont want other phone makers to know their unique performance tweaks which they have put in sourcecode.
Lesson learnt never buy Exynos powered device. Always try to get snapdragon powered device.
Trying out a Sprint S4 (non T version), but not thrilled with the performance of the stock 4.4 ROM. Figured maybe 5+ would be an improvement, but wanted to go with something built for speed and efficiency (ie. not full of bloat) rather than let it update itself.
From what I've read, most people seemed to recommend Dirty Unicorns as a fairly clean and speedy ROM. I'm not looking for heavy modifications and skins or anything like that. Those kinds of things turn me off.
But, it seems that Dirty Unicorns is no longer supported on the S4, the links in the official thread are broken and the DU website doesn't list the S4 as a supported device... oddly, none of the Galaxy phones are listed as supported devices. Were we dropped? What happened? Is it still out there somewhere? Is there any other similar ROM that folks recommend?
I've got TWRP ready to go!

BlissPop is a great 5.1.1 ROM, CM13 is also a good 6.0.1 option. If TW is your thing, WickedX is your best 5.0.1 choice.

I don't particularly care for TW or not, I just want to make sure everything works as well as possible (sometimes AOSP roms need to be coaxed into working more than ones based on stock). Also things like Samsung's pedometer (S Health) have replaced my fitbit, and I'm hoping whatever ROM I install will still work with it.
Meanwhile, I can't believe I forgot about CM! I should have thought of that first. Those are always solid once they are officially supported by CM! But I wonder- is CM12 better on this hardware than CM13? In my experience over the years, I've often found that ROMs based on versions officially supported by the device worked better than ones that were pushing newer versions. At least CM12 is based on Lollipop, which IS available for this phone officially. But then again, this is CM we're talking about. If 13 works well, I have no qualms using it. Any advice on that one way or the other?

I haven't had any real problems on stock CM 13(officially supported device), I run SynergyOS which is cm based so I can undervolt and underclock. You can get S Health on CM ROMs if you go that route.

I recently unlocked the bootloader of my Samsung Galaxy s5 (klte) and have flashed the latest version of Resurrection Remix to it. I was wondering if there was a CM or some other AOSP based ROM off ICS. Don't ask why I need an ICS based ROM, but reply to this thread if you have any information which might be helpful!

Hi there,
I've never heard of a S5 running ICS before, after all, the phone was initially released with KK and so I don't think any developers would see the point of supporting an outdated ROM.

Alright. I'm sad to hear that, but I can see the logic. Thanks for the info.
It won't be possible. Snapdragon 801/800 devices doesn't even have a device with ICS. It would more likely to be able to use 4.3 from N3 but there would be not much point to use outdate android.
Is their any hope for Oreo for our beloved note 4? If possible it will a milestone and we'll be very grateful to you, our hardworking Devs!!!
Samsung or developers didn't birng android 7.0 wether it's TW or AOSP like CM , RR.
I Bought this version by mistake becaue i was thinking it's Snapdragon version

Well CM14, or LineageOS 14, does exist for our devices. However, the developer for it was not able to get the sim card from our devices to work so he halted development. It may be possible to get the sim card to work, but I don't even know of a solution for that.

Don't be sad man .
Exynos 5433 with stock rom >> Snapdragon with developing made Oreo .
I heard a lot of people having problems with snapdragon but Exynos is stable as a rock .
see i dont have any problem if they just bring noguat to us .. i dont need much .. my main issue with the stock rom is DPI , if you change it a lot of mistakes will appear for example dialer and camera , toggles in notification will be small and just 5 in each row ,, like these mistake , and in the end magisk systelmless root
yes please Any non touchwiz based ROM for Exynos
Miui is there
hello,
I have seen a topic here before about AOSP based ROM for S8(Exynos), but still can't find any after all that time.
So i was wondering if anyone or any team is working on it? or anyone want to?
I really like AOSP and if i know that no one working on it, maybe i'll teach myself and do it.
