[Q] CWM Backup Issue >:(

Hi all,
Before I install this ROM, I wanted to ask this. I have my Nexus 7 with 320 MEGABYTES of space remaining! This is because of a backup I made in TWRP recovery. I wanted to delete it, so I go on and delete it in ES File Explorer. Error: File cannot be deleted. Uh, Ok, I will mount it to my computer. I deleted it, it seemed to delete, but, it was still there. All these files that I thought I had deleted before were also there! WTF! (I backed up my backup so I am safe with wiping it with a new rom.)
I was wondering if suddenly changing from managing the files on its own or in Mac OS X to using Windows Explorer in Windows 7 would change anything. Please, help me

In ES file explorer change the file or folders permissions from read only to read/write.
I would buy root explorer, there's a huge button up top that toggls between read only and read/write

If you're rooted you can force-install the app by moving the apk into the /sytem/app folder or /system/priv-app folder.
Note: System apps are installed in /system/app folder. User apps are installed in the /system/priv-app folder.
Then set the right permissions for the apk, reboot your device and you're done.

You had a similar app already installed and it was moved to sdcard
So now you have to identify which app is this and then uninstall it from your phone
Second option is to insert your sdcard into pc and then you will get /.android_secure folder then just look for the file and delete it
But i will recommend to remove deprecated app first.

Stupid question....

Where's the Root directory on this phone.
I have downloaded the update and have to move it there using my pc.
My phone isn't rooted so I can't do it via the phone...or am I being stupid? ?

The update must be placed in the root directory of the personal data, not the root of the phone. So it's in /storage/emulated/0 or if you prefer the place where Download, Dcim, Pictures etc folders are
You can access it with any file explorer without root

Depending on the folder you may not be able to modify system files..
Another chap was trying to edit a file in system, I don't believe you can do this with a conventional root explorer anymore. Should be able to copy it but changing that part of the system is not allowed.
You could make s magisk module to edit something, that should work.

You mean in the folder called sdcard.
That's where its meant to be..
You do not need to be rooted to install from local storage infact is best if you aren't.

Thank for the tip, I was able to move the installation file and find it in the updater but I'm getting system update installation failed right at the start
Possible file corruption?

As @ShayMagen1 has said, it's more than likely borked.
Also are you rooted??
I have a guide you can follow in the guides section.
Sounds like your trying to put it in a System folder? You should Move the downloaded file to your Internal Storage (root directory)...
