Best Buy rep told me AT&T Note 3 will be in Best Buy store sept 27th.

Best Buy Rep here in Houston Texas area . promised me that I can pick up the Note 3 sept .27 ....yes in 4 days . She had to promise me over n over again cuz I didn't believe her. She told me " I've been dying to get this phone and been looking at our updates when will receive it in the system everyday .I promise you it will be here ! They pushed the date up because of the iPhone 5s ." She sounded very excited and giddy when she told me . I did call another best buy right before this and he only knew of sept 4 sprint store rollout. Crossing my fingers !!!

I was just told the same thing by a Samsung-shirted employee in the Samsung Experience area of a Best Buy in Tualatin, Oregon. I specifically asked about availability for AT&T, and the employee answered "September 27th."

Still don't believe it. These people won't know anything until a higher up gets word from another higher up like a day before.

being in store and for sale is different.

Which location is it? I'm also in the Houston area. Unfortunately I have T-Mobile but if they have it at the store before I get it I'd like to use it for a bit to see how it is.

Just called my local best buy in Buffalo NY. I was told the phone would be available for purchase on the 27th. That was the date in the computer.

I don't trust Best Buy since the Thunderbolt debacle they had. I pre-ordered it and was told by the sales reps week after week it was coming next week. They even had it listed in their weekly flyer as coming next week, 3 weeks in a row!

Best Buy shouldn't receive before att ships out its orders, So if they are releasing on the 27th, I expect att to be shipping mine soon...

Yeah, I'm thinking Best Buy might be making a mistake. In this screenshot from Bestbuy.com you can see release dates show as September 27th, but it also shows White one has Android 4.3, and Black one is Android 4.2.2?

Any word on the date of the unlocked version? I may buy through best buy if it's available on Friday, but I would only buy the t-mo or international version... Basically, any GSM based note 3 with an unlocked bootloader.

Very strange
I,ve heard from someone that they might be calling orders up to imform them tonite, but truthfully dont like the way bestbuy is handling this. They have to have them in their stock room by now, so why not just shoot an email to those of us patiently waiting.

Just got an email from Bestbuy telling me I can pick up my order starting tomorrow but no later than Saturday.
Unfortunately for BestBuy and Sprint, I have decided to switch to AT&T and bought a TMo phone in the interim. The Note 4 is waiting on my doorstep as I type.

Still haven't heard anything for the Verizon Note 4 yet fromBBY. Rumors are showing that Verizon is now launching with everyone else tomorrow, but I can't find anything to confirm this.

I can tell that bestbuy here on long island is playing games. The girl rep I spoke to sounded arrogant and they are playing a power trip. According to her I will get an email to,morrow morning. No one gets shipment early in the morning. If I dont hear anything by 8'pm tonitemim going in and cancelling it. I have a rep,from,at&t holding one for me for tommorrow anyway. Id rathermnot give bestbuy my business. I hate how they do business.

Arrogant employee's in my opinion. It was 4:50, walked into the commack store, and told them to just cancel. I had called AT&T store near me, they couldn't be nicer. Salesman wanted to sell me phone today, but manager wouldn't let. They put one in safe for me, its 100 per cent guarantee....no emails from best buy, and they have nerve to say they haven't received shipment. Thats a crock, cause I know for a fact AT&T had their phones in the back for a week now, won't deal with Bestbuy again if I can help it. Im done. Good luck to all.

Ordered on the 7th. No movement. I don't expect to see it until the 19th.

Placed my preorder in store on the 3rd for store pickup. No email yet, but I am hopeful. Maybe early pickup tomorrow. If not, I will be there waiting first thing Friday morning.

Had a preorder for ship to home. Called customer service and was told that they won't ship until the 19th. I cancelled.

Has anyone that ordered from bestbuy got there phone through pickup or shipped?

Yeah, they told me they don't have them in stock yet. They are hoping they come in sometime today, but not certain. Told me just to wait until they send my email.

Still just waiting on mine. Really irritating that my local BestBuy can't even tell me when it is going to come in. Don't know who the fault lies with whether it is BestBuy, AT&T, or Samsung.

****ATTENTION******
If you're waiting for a Note 7 from you pre-order, contact other area Best Buys and see if they have one in their inventory. Then have the BB that you did the pre-order with set up a transfer arrangement and you can have the store with the inventory send a unit to the store you did the pre-order from, and then have that store cancel the pre-order. I had to do that myself to get my Note 7 and it DOES work...just have to have managers who are trying to be nice.

Is the 2nd Recall Official?

So there have been announcement from Samsung related to stopping the production of the Note 7, but I have not seen anything official calling for a recall.
Has the CPSC launched an official recall?
Has Samsung said anything more than that we should stop using the device and return it if we can?
I am holding out for the official recall, as of right now Samsung is not even offering a bill credit for returning the device. The first go around they offered $25. I went to AT&T yesterday and they said they would take the device back, but there would not be another bill credit.
Just curious if there has been an official recall or process for receiving a refund for the device. I figured we could also use this thread as a place to track the options once the recall is made official.

Not official but att and as far as I know all other carriers take it back no questions asked.

They added original and replacement devices to the http://www.samsung.com/us/note7recall/ so I would assume both returns will prompt a 25 credit by the carrier or third party gift card.

from what ATT told me.... that to get the 25 credit, i had to chose another samsung phone to replace my note 7 I had returned, and also I had to eat the 20.00 upgrade fee too, ATT would`t refund that, only the first Next payment I had paid.
From ATT website:
Customers with a recalled Galaxy Note7 may select a Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, or Galaxy S7 active or any other smartphone, and may also return any Note7 accessories. If a customer chooses another Samsung device, he or she will receive a bill credit of $25 per device within 1-2 bill cycles.

Depends on who you get to talk to at AT&T. I got the $20 access charge waived from att for my replacement. This time I'm returning it and using my wife's iPhone 6+ until I get the iPhone 7+ 256gb I ordered. I think it's time for an OS change. I have never used an iPhone before so this will be fun.

yeah I thought about change to Iphone 7+, I got one for my wife for wedding anniversary present, and I played with the zoom camera takes really nice pics, but she has had some issues with hers, and it might have to get a replacement, sometimes when try to wake it up with the home button, it sometimes it takes few tries to get it to wake up, and taking pics the camera will just close with out touching anything, and she has had it lock up few times and just sit there and is not responsive at all, shes not power user, so who know`s, and when it happens........ she said i should have just keep my iphone 6+:silly:

I want to hold out but can't help but worry about when or where it will burst into flames…. It's stressful I tell ya.. Lol. I don't want an s7 edge had it the first recall and didn't like it only one that even close is the. LG V20 but doesn't come out till the 24th or so…… so I'm just at a loss on what to do.

Seeing as there isn't anything out that I feel compares to the Note7 I bought a used nexus6. Had one before and liked being able to root and rom it to make it the way I want. It will work till something else comes out.

yeah I`m think about getting OP3 again, I had one right before I bought the Note7 and really liked it so that`s probably were I`ll go back too. when ever OP get them back in stock.

I think im just going to keep using my N5. If rumors are true the S8 should be good (if it doesn't explode lol) and they are going to bump up the release date to Feb next year. Ill tell you this much though, its going to have to be amazing and Samsung better offer a deal to those of us that had to deal with this n7 fiasco.
If not this is the last Samsung ill use/buy

Got mine in too, I've been on a Moto G4 since I turned in my Note7. Got a Black Plus and even went ahead and ordered some case off amazon already. Almost went with the bestbuy deal but i've had issues with them in the past. I should have probably waited for the next Note but damn I miss having a good camera.

Ordered 2 S8s 1 black 1 grey and 2 S8S+ 1black and 1 grey. It's been 10 years since I've been a Verizon customer (coming from Sprint). It will be good to be back.

I know what you mean. I have the note 7 and then with everything that happened I was so over Samsung I jumped to Apple and picked up a 7+. That was a big mistake. I was going to wait for the note 8 but I just needed to get out of this phone.

Anyone on Verizon consider ordering the international variant? Or it still the case that it's missing bands that work with CDMA? This is when I start missing my gsm phones.

Interesting fact: all the s8 devices on display in my local Verizon store are SM-G950U and SM-G955U. This leads me to believe that big red is selling software customized Unlocked models.

Well, generally carriers carry their own one off model number to identify the bloat that will go into the phone.

I did not. I ordered using my 2 year contract. All in $400.

Indeed, this is evident in the history of Samsung devices for Verizon (SM-N910V, SM-G900VZKV, SM-N915V, SM-G920V, etc) it is just interesting to see that it is a U vs. the usual V coding this time around. I'm hoping this will lead to easier root and bootloader access but only time will tell.

I had my S7 Edge for a year and it is exactly half paid off. Verizon is taking back my S7, removing the balance of payments for the purchase of my S8.

Which is the same for me but I received the warning that the s8 will not be eligible for an annual upgrade. Chatted with customer support idiots yesterday and after some going back and forth I got them to state that my new phone will be eligible for upgrade after a year, chat log transcript saved.

OK I see what you are saying. Hopefully I will not have the desire or need to switch to something else for at least 2 years. But you never know. I would keep my Edge longer but I have an annoying issue of an over sensitive screen. It drives me crazy.

Yeah same problem with my edge with the screen. I usually upgrade every year lol, unfortunately I cannot help myself. I guess I've gotten better though since there was a time where I updated every 6 months... still need to update my sig lol
