If anything I would flash the U firmware on your device, its doesn't have a specific carrier or all that carrier bloat garbage! Theres quite a few threads in here on how to go about that. Happy flashing!

[Q] Help needed with flashing Korean i9500

Hi all there.
A friend of mine brought me from Hongkong a (probably) korean Samsung gt-i9500. (The fastboot screen is korean)
I just installed "Genuine Galaxy - Phone Info" which told me that it should be an original one before I flashed clockworkmod recovery and cm11 over sideload.
However - the cm11 did not get further than the starting logo.
I tried different roms and the only rom that worked (a little bit) was the Beanstalk 4.4.4 rom, which gave me logcat and an adb shell - however as the user interface does not fire up I cannot get root access...
Can anybody tell me how to get the phone working again? Or does anybody know where to get the original firmware? There is no korean firmware on sammobile and as the hardware seems to differ I don't want to flash a wrong firmware with odin. (Now fastboot and cwm is still working...
Here is the logcat: (as I am a new user I have to cripple the url: pastebin.com / Vm4RMFqJ )
Thank you for any hints,
Andreas
Just for the record
Just for the record:
This was not a korean i9500 but a korean shv-e300s.
It was confusing for me because the label behind the battery declared:
Samsung ("mobile phone" in chinese signs)
(probably "model" in chinese signs): GT-I9500
SSN: I9500GSMH
RATED: 3.8V;1300mA
MADE BY SAMSUNG
IMEI:xxx
(barcode)
S/N:xxx
(no FCC label, etc.)
The SHV-E300S model name was only shown above the fastboot screen (korean language)
I flashed with odin a 4.4.2 firmware from sammobile for the SHV-E300S -> working again.
However - this firmware release is an incredible peace of sh*t. Branded with "SK telecom" and fully blown up with korean apps, antivirus, etc. This device should be sold as a hand warmer, not a mobile phone.

Ebay phone: Need some help understanding this OS and how to upgrade

Hello,
I am new here but I have been reading ALOT. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900P off ebay and it came rooted with Kitkat 4.4.2 installed. Although it works fine in Canada in general, it's been causing me a TON of headaches. The biggest problem is roaming...I have the "you have lost data connectivity because you left your home network with data roaming turned off" error, which no one seems to have a solution for online. Sim cards in the US didn't work at all but my Canadian one is fine and no issues in Central America, so it is a good travelling phone in general. There are a ton of Chinese characters that populate the phone.
So I'm wondering what the best step would be for flashing a new ROM? How do I do a ROM backup on a phone that is already rooted? Is it safe to install recovery onto the phone? Is there some way to tell if one is already installed? Basically I would like to flash one of the custom Lollipop or Marshmallow ROMs, but above all I need to fix the roaming issue ASAP.
Phone info provides the following:
Phone Model: SM-G900P
Device Type: klte
Product Name: klte
Country of origin: not listed
Original CSC Code: CHN
Firmwares CSC Code: <root required>
Active CSC Code: CHN / TGY
CSC Country: USA/CN
Bootloader/PDA/CSC/BASEBAND version: G900PVPU1AND2
Root Existance: Yes
Android Version: 4.4.2
Any help on some steps to backing up/flashing and upgrading to Lollipop would be fantastic. The tricky part is understanding what has been done to the phone and what I can do to not screw it up lol.
Cheers!
Which model does it say in download mode?

It says SM-G900P. I believe it is this model, as the seller advertised it as this. He was selling them new and explained that they had been rooted and unlocked and should work in any country.
Thanks in advance for any help, it's much appreciated!

Can't find the same version

Hello
My girlfriend and i both have an s7 edge. She has a different stock rom then there is on my phone. We have both the same provider (proximus).
She already has the option 4glte to make calls.
I would like that option to so i'm trying to find her rom to flash it on my phone. The problem is i can't find it on the internet. Not even on sammobile.
The baseband version of her phone is G935FXXU1BPHJ and the buildno is MMB29K.G935FXXS1BPK1.
Can someone find this and please post a link here?
I already put her simcard into my phone , still no 4glte.
Flashing different rom ie different csc would brick your device, I don't recommend it

I kind of disagree with this statement. my 935f came from the Philippines with csc tpa and now my phone is running Italy firmware with csc itv. so u can change firmware.i use sammobile.com to find firmware but I think their is another website u can use to find firmware but I do not know what it is. download phone info from the Google play store to your girls phone and it will tell u everything about her phone.

So i've searched on sammobile for her stock rom and flashed it on my phone. Now if i go to the app phone info i can see now the following :
product code : SM-G935FZDAVD2
firmware code : VD2
Active csc code : VD2
Availeble CSC Codes : ATL, AVF,CNX,CYV,MOB,MTL,OMN,PRO,SIM,SWC,TCL,VD2,VDC,VDF,VDH,VDI,VGR,VIP,VOD,XFV
CSC COUNTRY : Germany / DE
mobile operator : proximus / 20601
bootloader version : G935FXXS1BPK1
pda version : G935FXXS1BPK1
csc version : G935FVFG1BPH1
baseband version : G935FXXU1BPHJ
And on her phone i see this :
product code : SM-G935FZKAPRO
firmware code : PRO
Active csc code : PRO
Availeble CSC Codes : ATL, AVF,CNX,CYV,MOB,MTL,OMN,PRO,SIM,SWC,TCL,VD2,VDC,VDF,VDH,VDI,VGR,VIP,VOD,XFV
CSC COUNTRY : Belgium / BE
mobile operator : 20601
bootloader version : G935FXXS1BPK1
pda version : G935FXXS1BPK1
csc version : G935FVFG1BPH1
baseband version : G935FXXU1BPHJ
So it's now only the product code , the firmware csc code , the active csc code , csc country and mobile operator that are wrong. The rest is now all the same.
Can i set the active csc code also to PRO? And without rooting? And will the volte work than ? Or are there some other steps i need to do?
yes, switch the csc to pro and then make sure your phone is registered with your provider and it should work.
This is my first international phone because I wanted the latest Samsung phone and have the ability to root.I live in the US. So I am still learning about the different firmwares and csc code.
That's my problem. I can't seem to find out on how to change it to pro.

You'll need to root, then use the Phone Info app which has a built-in CSC changer which can change it to PRO, however keep in mind the rooting will void your warranty and the change of CSC will reset your device to factory settings.
Is it not possible to do it without root?
Sm-g935fzbuxsg cant find dis stock rom helpp
Hello ive tried to root my s7 edge and successfully works, and for some reason, i turned off the oem unlock in dev options. The time comes when my phone got empty, so i quickly tried to charge it but it stuck on s7 edge logo and has a red font above saying "custom binary block by frp lock" i managed to get through it by flashing stock rom from sammobile but on the first boot, my s7 edge was so laggy and cant even make a simple home button it takes so much time for keys to function and there are popping up errors "com.sec.epdg has stopped" and " IMS Service has stopped" and in notifications bar saying "upgrading android/updating android" something like that. luckily i be able to turn it off and go for factory data reset. but after setting the phone, my settings got messed up like theres 2 application, 2 device maintenance and and other additional settings like t roaming, service provider which i dont see on my settings before it all messed up. I also realize that i cant find the fast charging settings which explains why its not so fast when i do charging. Can anyone please help me? You think i flash the wrong stock rom? My original product code is SM-G935FZBUXSG and i cant seem to find it in sammobile. sorry for my english but any help would be so much appreciated.
Btw, my phone was bought from UAE and im pretty sure that my model number is SM-G935FD. My phone is dual sim. However, when i chose the SM-G935FD category in sammobile, i noticed that there were no UAE country, so i choose to download the stock rom coming from vietnam because at the box of the phone it says manufactured in vietnam so i think thats what pushed me to download it. please help

Galaxy s7 edge weird issue?

Hy all! This is my first thread.
And so sorry for my english.
So I bought a galaxy s7 edge (g935f) from the internet and it has a lot of weird issue...first this phone is a single sim t-mobile (hungary) version, but the software says this is a dual SIM version (935FD) I flashed a full-wipe 4 file from with Odin but after that the problem is still there. If I go to the ONE I menu the first imei is the phone's own imei, but the second imei is just a lot of zeros.
My second problem is that the wireless connections doesn't works.
The Bluetooth can't find any BT devices and the Wi-Fi is recognize only the 5ghz networks.(2.4ghz networks are invisible)
Is it possible to get this phone back to normal?
Is it should work if I try to reinstall the phone with smart switch? That app is download firmware that is match with the phone original carriers Rom.
Thanks in advance.
If the phone is the dual sim one (SM-G935FD) flashing the BTU ROM from SM-G935F (single SIM model) or the INU ROM from the SM-G935FD, it'll detect the second SIM slot that also works as microSD card.
By detecting it, it seems you have an G935FD...
try flashing one of those ROM's I have mentioned above with ODIN and do full wipe of the phone.
That will probably solve everything

Where did you get your phone from? Better return it...

Btu is samsung stock 7 firmware basically for Uk region it's available here on xda. Try to flash the full firmware and see if it's work for you or not. Also you can flash stock 935fd firmware.

Update SM-G935FD Dual Sim to Android 7 ?

I bought this phone from the USA about year and a half and I'm using it in Macedonia, Europe the whole time. It is a dual sim, but I'm not sure which country it is exactly from, Taiwan maybe I guess?
The model is SM-G935FD and the Baseband version shows: G935FXXU1APB6.
I tried updating it manually, but always says you're using the latest software version even though android 7 has came out a long time ago.
Can you tell me:
1. How can I update to android 7 ?
2. Why am I not receiving an update automatically, even though this feature was working when I bought the phone. I was getting regular updates automatically ever since I bought the phone up unti a point when the 7 came out.
3. If I update the firmware through an SD card or whatever method you suggest its best, will I continue receiving regular updates automatically after I install the v7.0 ?
4. How can I check what country is this phone from?
Lots of questions, would be glad if someone can clear these things up for me so I can understand better how this works with samsung and different countries models etc.
Thanks up front!
try smart switch on PC to update it... frend of mine had s7 flat and no update via mobile phone, as soon as I connected it to pc and turned on smart switch update came out...

I wanted to mention that, but I've probably forgot. I did try Smart Switch, but it also said, latest update already installed. Any other ideas?

I'm sorry for my noobish questions, but can you please explain to me how to choose the country of my firmware? Do I need to choose a country which I currently reside in? Or do I need to choose a country for which the phone was made? I just want to use English language, even though I use it in Macedonia, Europe.
Please kindly advise. Thanks!
1. How can I update to android 7 ?
i had the exact same problem as you smart switch n ota both said i was on latest software. All you need to do is goto sammmobile download firmware for your s7 edge model if your phone is non carrier or unlocked then you can download any carrier version. after that download Odin n Samsung drivers n view an odin flashing tutorial on YouTube.
3. If I update the firmware through an SD card or whatever method you suggest its best, will I continue receiving regular updates automatically after I install the v7.0 ?
I am getting all the 7.0 updates.
4. How can I check what country is this phone from?
if i remember correctly Its written on the smartphone box although u don't need to worry about the country all you need to know is the model number.
But to tell the truth there is no performance difference only ui change but still if u want to be on the latest version then use Odin. good luck.
I have flashed my s7 edge about a dozen times n haven't faced any flashing problem just be sure to use original cable n try not to use the computer while the flashing is happening. use odin in adminstrator mode n if possible kill extra background processes like chrome etc (not needed but i still do it just to be safe)

Just checked my phone with PHONE INFO app and there seems to be no CSC code?! All these field are empty:
Original CSC Code: blank
Firmware CSC Code: blank
Active CSC Code: blank
Available CSC Codes: blank
CSC Country: blank
I tried dialing *#1234# and it says:
"USSD code running"
but it shows some kind of error right after:
"connection problem or invalid mmi code"
and does not enter the menu with the CSC code. Tried restarting the phone, switching sim cards and what not.. Nothing worked and I have no clue what my CSC code is now.
My original box is gone and can't really see what country it was made for, but as far as I can remember it didn't say anything on the box. The title of the original amazon.com listing says: Internationally Sourced (Middle East/Africa/Asia) Version G935FD which doesn't say much.
I don't know what to do, I'm a bit scared to flash it with just about any country firmware. There's got to be a way to find more about this phoe CSC?

Download cpuz app from play store. From the app you will find what is your phone chipset. If it is exynos download any 935fd nougat firmware and flash it with Odin.basically 935fd is a unlock version. it's support all csc version and you will also get update how much I know.
