Apps to SD Card without Root??????

Is there ANY way to store apps to the sd card with out root? I want to root, and run the hero build on my g1, but even reading all the tutorials, im not understanding how to do it. I have a 8gig sd card and want to store all my apps there, but am not confident rooting the phone myself, is there anything or anyone who can help?? Also, im in the Seattle area, if theres anyone in the area that has the capabilities of doing these things, i'd be willing to pay to your help/service/time.
Thanks in advance
no it will not work you need root which means Admin for the phone and when out admin permission it wont work cause you need that to access the system files

[Q] Verizon Galaxy S5 - use SD card as music/photo/video storage

Trying to find an answer before I buy this phone. Is there a non-rooting option that will let me download music/save photos/store movies straight to a microsd card? If not, which rom do you recommend?
I have never rooted before btw.

Everything works better with root. Root just means that you have permission to modify system settings and files.
Kitkat, the latest version of the OS tightened security and no longer allows third party apps to freely write files anywhere on your SD card. Now they have to stick to their own directory on the card. This breaks or at least restricts what older apps can do.
But you should be able to find a newer app that does the things you asked about.. as long as the app has been updated to the new method of keeping all of it's files in one directory tree.
If you have root, you could change or remove those SD card restrictions.

Storage + Rooting

Hi,
Hoping to get some advice from here - I'm on the UK version of the s7 Edge.
I've just got a VR headset and want to use my external memory card to store a few movies - problem is as the storage is crippled the VR player cannot see the memory card to access them.
I've tried converting the card to adaptable storage but the card doesn't show up in widows to copy the movies across to so I was thinking of rooting the phone but would like to know the following:
1. Can it be done without tripping know yet?
2. If Know is tripped are any functions lost?
3. is there any roms that use the storage card in a better way?
4. If I trip knox can a reinstall stock firmware and reset knox (I'm thinking if I sell the phone)?
5. Any recommendations for roms - perfect one would be a stock one with better access to the memory card.
Thanks for any help
1. No
2. KNOX and Samsung Pay, some other services/apps too maybe
3. How? Moving apps and data to SD?
4: You really dont trip KNOX, but an e-fuse, just flashing new firmware wont reset it to 0x0
What player ate you using? My VR can see my external SDCard

Try moving apps to sd. Without rooting Samsung should letnyou move some of the apps to sd. Also, move everything you have, including pictures from whatsapp and whatever to SD in order to free up more internal space, since only on it can apps be installed.
"I only have Facebook and Messanger". It's like you said i have 2 apps worth almost 1GB.
Use alternative for those 2, use facebook via browser.
If you really love those apps than install facebook with messanger built in by Zonik to save space

You can find many threads on XDA:
1) Facebook already patched: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/patched-facebook-separate-messenger-t3389145 .
2) Patcher - an app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-facebook-apk-patcher-to-enable-t3366080 .
3) This one is the first thread as far as I know, but it's abandoned: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-facebook-chat-enabler-t2934179 .

That app no longer can be used on marshmallow. It did work on lollipop. Btw some apps are ok to be moved on stock samsung rom. Just go into settings>apps>storage section of app>change storage>internal/sd

Need advice- Samsung Galaxy Tab A- SM-T280

I got my son a tablet on Swappa- but its not really working for our needs- as he can't install very many games or large games on it- since it doesn't treat SD card as internal- and even after moving apps to SD- it doesn't move the whole app- just a small part. So we are always out of room, since its an 8gb internal, and the 64gb SD card doesn't matter.
What is going to be the fastest- easiest way for me to fix this..It is running android 5.1.1 stock- and is not rooted- I assume that to fix this I'm going to have to root, and flash a rom with at least android marshmallow- and then use ADB shell to send command to make it internal. But before I try all that- I wanted to get advice from people on here- because maybe someone knows an easy or faster way to do it.
thanks for helping my son game...
Rooting is the first step,
almost all Samsung devices are very easy to root. When I got my t280, I had it rooted, TWRP, and the special tinker edition ROM, installed with in 15 minutes of taking it out of the box. After you have it rooted, you will need a link to SD app from the play store. From there you will be able to move an app the the SD card, and in the case of the app being larger, you can link it to SD card, which will usually take most, if not all of the data, obb etc, and put it on your SD card, it can take a little bit, but I have a lot of apps on this tablet doing it this way. Hope this helps.
