[Request] Install Flash Player

Hi
After adobe released the flash player for froyo, I have been trying to install it on my AVD which runs SDK 8 (android 2.2 revised 2).
I found that the android Market is not available on an AVD, so I downloaded the flash player apks that people had put up at various places. The problem I face is that I am unable to install these apks as they give my an error saying application not installed.
Any tips? Is there something that I am doing wrong?
Can someone get me an apk for flashplayer or market that would run on an emulator?

Do NOT quote me but I thought that only those with sense 2.1 with flash light.apk could use the full flash.apk that you found. I'm not sure if it works with froyo yet... but please don't quote me, I may be wrong.

[Q] Android swf player?

I own an unbranded HTC Desire with Froyo installed & wondered, as Flash 10.1 is now installed, if there was any existing 'app' or other way I could now use to open swf games on it that I've used to date on my Archos?

If there is, that would be great.

On my Vibrant with Flash Lite 3.0 if I go through a file explorer and try to open a .swf file it prompts me to either open with the browser or with Flash Player... Try that

Thanks for the reply, but all I can get via the file explorer is the option to either open the swf as text, audio, video or image none of which will open any of the files.
If possible to try, do you know if Flash Lite 3.0 still available for download anywhere & would it install given I have Flash 10.1 as part of the build & all my earches for Flash Lite have come up with dead links? Thanks.

Also packing a Desire running 2.2 and I would like to find an application for this as well.

Tried installing the Skype app, it installs but it's authorized to run on my device (HTC Incredible).
Tried installing the Blockbuster app but the install failed.
The Blackboard apk is a theme, not the app for the website.

yeah i downloaded the Thunderbolt system dump and i went looking around i found the Boot Animation which is so cool lol
And i also found the games Rock Band and Lets Gold
Lets Golf doesnt really work im probably missing another apk because not all the graphics show. Just white.
But Rock Band seems to work. Its so hard though haha
Anything elses i can pull from this?
Also Any way to convert the Thunderbolts Boot animation to work on the "X"?

Just copy the bootanimation.zip to /data/local.

I wonder how to get the DLNA app to work?

What version of Skype is it? Is it the new VZW video version or an older non video?

its in Bolt3/systems/customize/resoruce...vzwbootanimation

also i can confirm the boot ani works, move it to /system/app fix properties with rootexplorer to rw-r-r rename your current bootanimation.zip to something else like old_bootanimation.zip and then rename the thunderbolt one to bootanimation.zip and reboot

I could play rockband but the multitouch doesn't work. Im using Droid x

Anyone have any luck getting the Skype w/ video capabilities working?

[Q]HTC NEWS app and widget compatibility question.

I want to know if HTC News application and Widget from Desire-based builds is compatible with Desire HD builds. And if yes, how can I install it?
Please post if you really know the answer because I tried everything and can't get it working. Maybe DEVs can help me here
Here's what I did:
Removing HTC Greader app and widget was easy - just deleted them from /system/app.
Got NewsReader.apk, com.htc.NewsReaderWidget.apk and their .odex files from a Desire-based build. Then tried everything to install them but with no success
I put them in /system/app/, tried adb install, tried manual installation with Super Manager, but it shows "Application not installed".
So, can I use old HTC News with Desire HD builds and how can I install it? Any help will be appreciated.

The News App and Widget are a part of Desire HD builds. Did you delete them and now want them back?
Why not just do a Clockwork restore to 'rebuild' your build?

No, they are different in Desire and Desire HD builds.
In Desire it is HTC News and in Desire HD it's called HTC Greader (and is linked with Google reader), no matter the names are the same in applications list.

The DHD News Reader links with Greader also.
Functionally, they are the same.

HTC Evo 4g News App Not Installing
Hello Im in need of an expert in Apps
Im trying to install a stock Newsreader_v1.0.apk MD5 sun [56c1ab783bdf8320316ff46882f186ab] that came with my original Sprint Evo 4g Rom.
I have a copy of the app on my SD card and when I tried to install it is says application not installed.
1.Is thier any way to make this app compatible with my new Custom Rom? or
2. Is thier any where I can download it from?
3. Is thier anyone that can guide me step by step what to do?

[Q] FM-Tuner app for HTC HD2 Android 2.3.x (apk)

Using the Typhoon CyanogenMod 7 ROM now, but I dislike the built-in FM-tuner app. Is it possible to install another one? I have tried to install this apk, but it crashes while starting. TitaniumBackup can't help me too.
I would highly appreciate for any advice.
