Got the same issue running CM6. It says the app is not signed correctly
Delete it from system/app then adb push it. Everyone had the same issue when gmail and car home came to the market.
New YouTube is stunning though. Hint to what Gingerbread will be like?

But why is it? Because of the custom rom? Also, how do i do the adb thing? Could you be more precise?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think its because its originally stored in system/app and after we update, it tries to store on your SD, without properly deleting the system version.
Something like that anyway

Any of you having network problems with the new youtube app?
I keep getting a network error, error 400 I think it is. Its not because I don't have internet, because I have no problem using the browser or market. Any know solution?

Uninstalling in titanium backup reboot than install in market

To use Widgets; apps must be stored in phone memory. Once you update YouTube goto settings>applications>manage applications select YouTube and move to phone.

A Solution
I had the same problem - tried installing and got package incorrectly signed, solved it by uninstalling YouTube with Titanium Backup, restart, and then installing from the market.
If i tried installing straight after the uninstall it failed - meaning restart is a must.
Using OpenDesire 4.0.36.
I have manage to install new ver.
first delete from system/app/youtube.apk than also
in data/app/youtube.apk
restart
& now download new Youtube from market or if you tray to install
before downloaded apk file ,should be in SD/download/download3.apk
or some other nummber

Okay im really getting pissed off from this sh#t! i have tried EVERYTHING thats been explained here but it just doesnt work, and here's why i think: when i delete the youtube apk with root explorer and restart, its there again! it comes back :S and the installation is always unsuccesfull!
please please PLEASE! what can i do about this? im already sick and tired enough to just throw a new rom on there
@ mod: sorry for the language, please close the thread im just gonna download the new miui rom with the new youtube cooked in.
install worked no problems for me, deleted youtube.apk from /system/app/ using root explorer.. rebooted and installed from the market with no issues
I can't find YouTube app on market, it just doesnt show up!!
When i go to "m.google.pt/youtube/" it says that my device is not compatible with youtube... lol
I have a Vodafone 845 that come with stock youtube player... lolz....this sucks :s
Hi guy,
I want to install htc hub on my android HD2 build. I just want to know if i can find this application somewhere.
Thanks in advance
Only available in the desire HD builds.
Thank for your answer.
I know that. But I'm asking if there is any way to extract it from Desire HD rom for using in other no-desire rom.
PS i used a desire hd base HD2 rom and i liked that new feature because you can remotely control your phone from htcsens.com

I used a the same from SD card, but the version I found to install to the ROM, does not contain HTC Hub and voice search... I really liked the remote features you mentioned and that it can sync my stuff...
Could you tell me which rom should install on my HD2, or where can I find it?
Thank you
Hey! has anyone else been able to install the new Market 2.26? on our htc hd2's.
I can post the apk here if you wanna have a go, it's freeware and is version Market 2.26, we currently have Market 1.80 bulit in, but it doesn't seem to install, I thought maybe unmounting my SD card would help(Angry bird solution), but did not work either
Interesting to hear if other people got it too work
Hope this is the only thread about this, and in the right place, been in Xda long enough to know the consequence...Oh the horror of getting Flamed!!

hey guys,
my friend is using htc wildfire (rooted)
I asked him to send some awesome stock apps to me
after i received those stock htc apps, I tried to install it
but, no info of the apk was shown, which means i cant install it...
coz i like think that app is quite good, so i want it...
so the question is,
How come i cant install it? wat's the reason for cant install that apk file
Which App do u want to install? Maybe there is already a HVGA version...
the apk he sent me is the wifirouter.apk
that app seems to share wireless network...
I have tried searhing and I havent found anything like this, so I hope im not in trouble for asking...
Has anyone made or would like to make a custom sense rom with just a few extra apps?
The main reason I am asking is because you cannot access a file manager by downloading from windows to you sd card (you have no option to either download from Andriod Market or using the sync, which doesnt work for me)
Basically I looking for a ROM that is exactly like HTC Sense but has a file manager and a few other apps by default...
Like the ultra bright torch app and the you tube and Iplayer app.
You can alsways use roms that are already out there, but you usually loose the widgets the come with the stock HTC Sense, plus I miss the facebook streams.
Anyways, the main app it need installed is the superuser app and a good (free) file manager, anyone wish to help or comment?
Also, my phone is rooted with the HBoot 001 version, and I have heard roumours that if you upgrade to 2.2.2 then you can no longer root your phone, and since i am getting into hacking and rooting the widfire, I really dont want to loose the functions!
I hope this will start a healthy thread, as most of my threads dont!
Thanks, Keith
you can sideload apps from windows to your phone using sideloader machine for example
- If you are on HBoot 1.01.0001, you already are on Android 2.2.1 (There is no 2.2.2). While official 2.2.1 was not rootable some months back, after the release of AlphaRev / Revolutionary, it is possible.
- Apps can be installed via ADB also. One such guide is here:
http://voxigee.wordpress.com/2010/02/28/using-adb-to-install-applications/
And a Video Tutorial here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27HIDvjdUFM
- Also, Stock Froyo ROM with Superuser can be found here: (Get the Rooted Version). After you install this, you can install the File Manager using the guides above.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877977
- Lastly, for such a simplistic ROM Creations, you can use the DSIXDA Kitchen to cook a ROM yourself. Its easy, and you can add and remove exactly what you want.
Thread here:

Good Luck
