hi guys..
i accidentally deleted bootloader in my nexus 7 2012
pls help me to recover my tablet
its not turning on
TRY and search next time
@yaro666 , @goodwinAl If you erased the bootloader accidently and you didn't reboot yet, you could flash a new one directly, if the bootloader was erased and the tablet was rebooted there is almost nothing you can do.
Sorry pal,
If you didn't pee perform the Nexus 7 (2012) unbrickable procedure and created created special recovery files for APX mode ( These are specific for every single device ) then you're out of luck. You have to send it In.

Hello all I think I have hosed my tablet. I had Thor's CWM mod (1.3.4) installed and working just fine then I tried to flash to the CWM Touch recovery (1.72 I believe) for my device. I performed the upgrade via the old version of CWM and all went well. Then next boot into recovery nets a "Booting recovery kernel image" message but it never boots. I have waited for an hour and still no luck. I have tried to connect via APX mode and use a couple of utilities to flash back to Thor's version but had no luck. I can see the device does go into APX mode and the tools do seem to recognize that fact but once I am in APX mode adb devices returns nothing. If I run PBJ20upgrade it works to the point where I can enter my CPUID then fails and tells me the ID is not valid. I have my serial number and I am using that with a 0 in front of it in the PBJ20upgrade tool but it still fails. Is there any hope for my poor A500?
I should also note that I can't boot normally now for some reason either so anything that requires a boot to the OS will not work for me. If I try to boot into the OS I just get the "Acer" screen again I have waited for an hour with no boot.
I have also tried to put an update.zip file out on the sd card and boot into recovery but that will not work either.
I also tried this and it just hung at the "Erasing Cache..." message.
After a couple of minutes, Power Up/Turn on the Tablet while holding the Volume + (that's the right volume rocker next to the Screen lock).
When you feel the vibration while powering on and while holding the Vol. +, switch the Screen Lock On, Off, On and Off.
You should see a two line on the screen and it should restart after that. (you may now release the Volume +)
Thanks
I think theres something messed up with the internal SD. Look at this post and download the tool provided. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27852564&postcount=25 you will have unlocked ics bootloader v8 with cwm 1.7.3 on your tab after using it. Then you can flash any bootloader with blackthunders apx tool.

Thanks I downloaded and tried the tool but I get this error after runnung a501 a.bat.
"Command send failed (usb write failed)". I can see that the tablet enters APX mode then once the tool runs I get that error.
One question would I use the last 15 digits of my serial number to generate my SBK? I have tried blackthunders APX tool and that won't work also the Acer Utility tells me it fails because of the wrong number
Then your sbk and cpuid are wrong.

Thanks would I use the last 15 digits of my serial number for my CPUID?
Your cpuid should be 16 digits long.
Gesendet von meinem Iconia A501 mit Tapatalk 2
Right I read that it should be the last 15 digits of my serial number with a 0 in from to make a total of 16 digits. Is that correct?
Yepp.
Mine must really be hosed then. Maybe there is actually a hardware failure. If figures it's only a couple of days out of warranty.
There is still hope. Was your a500 ever connected to your pc? Then search USB Deview on Google and download it. Start it, and in options, activate show disconnected devices. Look for your a500. In the serial column stands a 16 digit number. Thats your cpuid.
Gesendet von meinem Iconia A501 mit Tapatalk 2
I have tried that but I guess I haven't connected to my PC before this happened. I do have my serial number and if it's just a 0 then the last 15 digits of my serial I don't understand why any of the APX tools will not work.

That did the trick thanks so much. It turns out the UID was not the last 15 digits of the serial number. The UID I got back is not even close to the last digits of my serial.
Hello everyone,
I have had an issue with my nexus 7 2 days ago and couldn't figure out a way to fix it yet, so I need your help
So basically I have been flashing ROMs on my nexus 7 and everything was great no issues at all, til I accedintaly was in Recovery mode and fomatted sd and system (GOD that was stupid), so after doing so all my ROMs saved on my sd card were deleted so I am not able to flash ROMs anymore. The worest part is that even my preloaded PARANOID ANDROID Rom hasn't been able to boot up my device so it's stuck on Google boot logo.
Hence, I assume if there is a way to push ROMs while the tablet is in Recovery mode that would allow me to flash them again and the problem is sloved. However, I don't know if I am able to do that, I have tried nexus 7 toolkit and Android commander but they require USB debugging to be ON (which i am not sure if it was since last time I had this problem), and they both require the tablet to be tured on I belive in order for them to do thier magic ?? correct me if I am wrong...
Unfortuantely I didn't do Nanadroid backup
I am not able to take the tablet to Google obviousely cause i am rooted so you guys are my only hope
Thanks in advance and really appreiate it if i cab get a fast response.
Just flash the factory image from fastboot.
I use the Nexus 7 Toolkit v3.2.0 by mskip. It is amazing. It's in the development thread. You don't need adb to flash the original image. You only need to get into fastboot mode.--->
Turn off n7. Hold both volume up and down and the power button until you get into the bootloader. Then plug your n7 into USB and then launch the toolkit. Make sure your device is recognized at the top in fastboot mode. You are ready to restore the factory image.

Hi there,
Here's my problem : Recently i wanted to install the beta version of Android L on my Nexus 7. But during the installation, the "flash-all.sh" command took too much time to be executed (30 minutes insted of 20 seconds aproximately) so I quit the terminal while this command was processing and I unplug the tablet from my computer. After this, when I wanted to restart my tablet, I got stuck at the Google logo. So I tried to reset it by flashing the factory image but the real problem is that my computer doesn't detect my tablet when it's plugged in.
And now I don't have any idea of what to do.
Please tell me that someone here is able to help me !!
Hi,
Are you sure you're booting in fastboot? Also, make sure you have the correct android rules set up and that your fastboot and adb drivers are set up correctly.
Also, try flashing the img files manually. Another thing that may be useful for you is trying to post your issue in the Nexus 7 (2013) forum .
Good luck,
~Lord

The fastboot mode is the only "piece of software" that i can access so i'm pretty sure yes.
And how can i move my thread into the Nexus 7 (2013) forum ?
Tried to root nexus 7 2013 with android 5.0 lollipop oficial with the last version of nexus rot toolkit, my tablet didn't reboot, and it's stock, can't enter in fastboot mode, can't enter in recovery mode, my pc don't recognize it just in something i found is call apx, don't boot, i've tried almost everything but doesn't work for me, i don't know what to do.....
Please help me, if somebody have the same trouble please reply.
I'm from Colombia so my english isn't good at all, so you can ask if you don't understand to me.
Thanks...
Hey Guys,
recently I tried to root my ZTE Axon 7 and install TWRP on it(A2017G)(Firmware B03).
It failed and i wanted to reinstall my bootloader and my recovery (i think that i wanted this)
Before i did that i backed up my boot and recovery is i´ve been told to.
I think something went wrong there, but i realised it too late.
When it was failed i didnt know how to reinstall the backuped boot and recovry files, so i thought i could rename them to boot and recovery and flash then with ADB. This failed either and now when i want to start my phone the screen that says ZTE pops up for a second and then goes black.
I know that was silly, but now my Phone is broken and i cant do anything with it, i can not start it, i can not boot in recovery, i can not boot to fastboot.
I tried to boot into Recovery Mode, but the same thing either...
The screen flashes and goes off.
I can´t do anything.
Also when i try to turn it on the LED on the top flashes red and green. I don´t know if its related to my problem, but i need help
PLEASE!!!
I don´t know what to do:crying::crying::crying::crying:
I've uploaded the A2017G B03 stock boot.img and recovery.img (both in the same zip file) to Mediafire, here's the link:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/lz2jco2np4innau/B03.zip
This happened once (well, more than once to be precise) to me too but there's a fix for it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/wip-axon-7-root-bootloader-unlokced-t3441204
What you want to do is follow all of the steps (using axon7root.exe) and use the boot.img and recovery.img provided by razorblader.
I don't think you will have a chance to bring it back to life. It looks like you are in DFU mode but need EDL mode for using tenfars tools.
Unfortunately for the G model you can't enter this mode with hw keys.
But I also have this issue and looking for a solution.
As of now only way is to send it in for repair...
I had the exact same problem and tried pretty much everything I could think off but as Deje63 mentioned the only way is to give it back to the seller and get a refund (if you still can) or send it in for repair.
Just today an Axon 7 owner in the german android-hilfe forum got information he will get a new Axon 7 from ZTE.
He did also send it in for repair because the same issue. It seems even ZTE (europe/germany) does not have the tools/knowledge to flash a stock rom on such bricked devices.
I ask myself what the hell they did or think in reducing the features (for the G model) in fastboot/adb/firmware to that grund. I am a long time in Android but never had a device were there was no chance to (re)flash at least an official stock rom.

Try to access the FTM (Factory Test Mode) by holding the power button and the volume down button. It will say FTM on the display if it was successful.
In case you are still stuck in DFU mode you might have to hold the power button for at least 6 seconds to get the phone to try to reboot.
If you can get into the FTM mode connect the Axon 7 to your PC.
It should show up in the device manager as a Android ADB device.
adb reboot edl
Your screen should go blank and the device should show up as 'Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 com X' in device manager. If you get this far you can use tenfar's axon7root.exe to flash the boot.img and the recovery.img and the phone should boot up normally after that.
Are you sure talking about A2017G? I was able to enter stock recovery (volume up and power). All other key combination leads to DFU mode, regardless the phone was plugged in or not. And believe me, I tried even stupid ones.
But will try when it is back from repair.

I'm talking about the G model of course, on the U version this wouldn't be a problem.
Hope other people who still have their bricked G version phones try this so we can clarify if there's a chance to get into the FTM mode and can determine which 'type' of brick could potentially be revived.
No clue if this is a possibility if the wrong kind/corrupt/whatever bootloader got flashed to the phone but it's worth a try.
Edit: Read in another thread that another user stuck in DFU mode on the G model couldn't make the FTM mode work so there's little hope for this to be working unfortunately.
I do have a question as well. My G model only boots til ENTER ANDROID PASSCODE. Cannot boot into recovery only FTM is possible. Device Manager indicates an adb device, but there seems to be a special driver. Does anyone know how to help?
Thanks in advance...Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I have got the same problem. Did you find any solution since then?
Anyone give me any suggestion please ... :crying:
Yes. The solution was to set it up for a repair. They changed my device without any problems. I told them my phone entered into this state by upgrading on an ota update.
