what apps are you guys using to control your sounds based on the time for example when you're at work or when you're at home
No app, just use the volume rocker when I need silence

Put phone on silence mode.
If you're rooted, add this
<FeatureSet><CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu></FeatureSet>
To the "others.xml" file in system>csc and reboot. You'll get an option in the settings menu to turn off the sound

My S5 didnt have the option to disable the shutter sound so I used to method by adding a piece of code to others.xml and adding the option in the menu of the camera.
The option is there now but it doesnt seem to do anything. It just stays on On.
Any ideas?
Thanks

What's New
- Some GNote4 incompatibilities fixes
- Mute some useless logs
It was already working before this update???
Some things work some don't, I still can't get skip tracks on lockscreen or the lockscreen flashlight or a couple more features to work. I guess it's just a maintenance release.

Headsup doesnt work for me either.
Wifi tether is not working for me now. Neither is T-Mo hotspot.
All APN settings are now "Not Set". Ouch.

Lock screen skip works out the box. Yours broke?
I had lock screen music controls with Google play and Spotify out if the box. Did you try to enable something that broke the default controls?

Yeah I've never been able to get lock screen vol to work. I'm talking about when the screen is off using the physical vol keys, not on screen controls those work fine and are not wanam related.

I have this xpose too. It seems like this is a tool for any Samsung phone. I wish the make one just for the Note 4. My up vol on Flash doesnt work. It just will not let me toggle anything. Bugs.
Wanam was updated again on 11/12/14 great to see him still maintaining this. Doesn't look like anything N4 specific though.
What's New
- Fixed some status bar elements theming incompatibilities with newer TW Roms
- Add CM battery + Text size
- Fixed overlapping 2 lines date on some devices
- Many other improvements

What rom are you on?
This issue is usually something to do with advanced reboot settings. I had this problem with my note 3 on Tweaked, the built-in power button settings were conflicting with my wanam power button settings. Even if you're on stock, check your advanced reboot settings in wanam.
It don't work for me, anything I can do to make it work?
Anyone know how i can change the color of nav bar?., wanam not working.. any other xposed module?.

Use gravity box, it works
I know there's several guides out there to do it, including apps... The most effective way I've found is just editing the actual .ogg file, which works great, except when the shot is in HDR mode. Which happens to be when I want it to be silent the most (photos of my sleeping son).
I'm using the Google camera app and like everything except that... Any suggestions?

Put your phone in vibrate only mode and the shutter sound is disabled.
Easiest way to do that is to press volume rocker once to bring up the slider and tap the bell icon to toggle vibrate mode
Or just pres volume down until it goes to vibrate only.

I would like to know how to turn off shutter. Google camera app.
I have root nexus 6p.
System/media/audio/ui/cameraclick.ogg
Delete this file.

This works w/ a traditional picture but not for HDR shots.
I have Nexus 6 and have completely removed the Camera_click.ogg file from \system\media\audio\ui and rebooted and cleared cache and I still get the shutter sound even without HDR mode.

Same here .. It used to work up to 7.1.1 (not sure) but since then, even after deleting camera_click.ogg or replacing the camera_click.ogg with a silent ogg file with the same name the shutter sound still comes up, so I guess it's "outsourced" from /system/media/audio/ui into the camera app?
With latest Google camera app you can't remove the shutter sound... At least that's what I've read here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70253299&postcount=29751
I've been using open camera as that has the option plus a ton more.

Yes, I have Open Camera installed but actually I don't like the UI that much plus it sometimes switches randomly from portrait to landscape ignoring the postition of the phone.
I am using a workaround for now, as there is no free version of tasker I decided to give MacroDroid a try - the free version can handle up to 5 macros and that's perfectly enough for two macros - 1. on action camera app started, save current system volume in a variable and set system volume to 0 .. 2. on action camera app closed restore system volume to previously stored value. Works flawlessly.
Good idea!
