Happen to grab any screen shots of the error? Never heard of, nor seen this one. I only use internal, I have a 64gb sd-card laying around, I just don't need the space. Sorry to hear of this error, hopefully can figure out what it is.

i was also getting a titanium backup error FC also when this was happening, so i uninstalled TB and have rebooted a few times and no more white box internal problem error. It kept my apps installed and some settings but lost some minor settings. Strange that TB could of caused that. I really didnt want to have to factory reset.I know i should of taken a screenshot. I was panicking...lol.

Apps Thinking I have an SD Card & not working

Hi, I recently was on paranoid android and was getting ready to sell my galaxy s4 I9505 so restored a back up I made of the stock rom which was what came on the phone when I bought it.
I restored the back up, but once the phone had booted it was really slow and I kept getting loads of error messages saying different processes had kept failing. The same as in this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...restoring-stock-rom-cwm-t2882455#post55566370
I then booted back into recovery and wiped data and dalvik cache, which after rebooting sorted the problem. The device was running smoothly and so I went on downloading my apps from the play store.
But I've since noticed apps like swift key, instagram, whatsapp and snap chat seem to be having issues. I don't have any SD card installed just the phones internal memory, which I have ample space (9GB) but whatsapp won't let me download images.
Snapchat says I need to install an sd before viewing video and Instgram mentions I need an SD before being able to take a picture.
Also the language pack for Swiftkey won't download and when I try and download a theme it says it can't save it.
So it seems there's something wrong with the way it's trying to store certain files. Has anyone else come across this yet?
I'm planning on following the whole unroot process anyway documented here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477 which I'm hoping will fix it.
But I wondered if anyone knew what it is that's caused it?

Did you install the stock rom before or have you just restored your old backup?
If I were you, I would clean everything, install the stock sammy firmware (with latest base) and after that restore your backup

No it's not a rom, I just restored my old back up of my OS before I started flashing any custom roms.
I did a factory reset on the phone hoping it might resolve it. Which hasn't, but I'm not sure now if it's got rid of CWM. Would as I can't seem to get it to boot into recovery (it maybe just me not releasing the volume up button at the right time).
Think I'm going to have to flash a clean stock firmware following the unroot process and hope that fixes it.

Issues after latest update G935FXXU1APF2/G935FODD1APF2/G935FXXU1APEQ

First off, sorry about the uninspiring title
Now that that's out of the way, here's the problem.
Have got the latest update for the Edge and it was around 70+ mb (version details in the title).
After the update the "Storage" option within "Smart Manager" throws up the error: "Unfortunately, SmartManager Clean SDK has stopped." (Screenshot attached)
This happens every time it is run, even after a fresh reboot. But doesn't happen in case the cache of the app is cleared. But this only helps for one run. By the time the app is run again, same error.
Anyone else facing the same issue? If yes, found any workarounds? Also, how do I get this info to Samsung? Can't find an official forum that I can post this, so that they get it fixed.
Help appreciated in advance :fingers-crossed::highfive:
Ever tried resetting the device? Or wiping cache in recovery?
Working fine over here

Just had a look: NO problems here...
Which font are you using on your S7Edge?
Is your device "rooted"? Have you "disabled" any apps?
@JohnLouise: Mine's not rooted... yet.. Also don't want to reset, which would mean setting up the device from scratch, time consuming, would like to avoid.
I clean the Storage time and again, a habit that I believe is good in the long run. I had done it an hour before the update and it worked without issues. No new apps were installed after that, which would point the fingers squarely at the update being the culprit.
@henklbr: No system apps disabled, although i have disabled all microsoft provided apps (but that shouldn't cause the issue). Also, its the Rosemary font. You can find it in Settings>Display>Font
FYI, I use the small version of the font.
Well, guess I have no other choice but to wait for the next update, or someone who has a solution to this, and hope its fixed, or my phone to go bonkers out of the blue, in which case i'll have to reset.

Wiping cache in samsung recovery mode? U don't need to be rooted on that. Maybe the update causes issues and wiping cache and dalvik will resolve the problem.
I'm having the same problem since the last update, and I'm not rooted either.
Same here. Even after factory reset and clear cache. Now disabled the service, no error notification anymore. but still. It's not usable anymore
any news? im having the same problem here

No problems here.
Rooted and on latest
(Allthough the latest Update, i installed from Fresh (Complete wipe and reinstalled everything)
I thought to myself a 5th dirty update is pushing it abit.
All working fine here:
Same here, although I have non edge version on stock ROM. Nothing helped, so far. Hope next update will fix it.

Same problem here. Haven't resettled or anything
Same Problem here after June update (German T-Mobile branding).
Tried several times wiping Cashe of everything that has something to do with Clean Master SDK, or Smart Manager.
Did not help.
Today, i tried Factory Reset.
Did not help.
Imediately after that... i downloaded the latest Firmware with SamFirm.
Flashed it via ODIN.
Did not help.....
What the actual ****.
This is annoying as hell tbh. Especially, since over time, a lot "trash" sums up >_>
My only Workaround now is, downloading the Cleanmaster App, and delete "trash" with that, and deinstall the app again because it sucks balls and is annoying.

Yes, this is a problem with SD card. I had same problem. Factory reset didn't help.
I tried clean my SD card from old and some corrupted files and now it works just fine.

Late reply but:
i'm on November Patch level right now, and... Clean Master out of the Samsung Smart Manager.... works. everytime.
i never removed my sd card or anything. it just suddenly works ^^
don't ask me why. maybe a firmware issue, and now it's gone.
But i'll reflash with Odin 100% fresh as soon nougat is out!

Asus zenfone X008D full root space

Hello,
I have a Zenfone 3 Max I guess ( serie in the back X008D), which is lagging so much, I tried many factory resets but nothing improved.
While browsing settings I found that space used by the root is full, 7.98/7.98 Gb i think the problem is from this.
Is there any method how to reinstall the whole system, or rooting it if it can help solve this issue.
I searched in google and asus forum but I found nothing..
thanks in advance.

are you referring to what you see available in the "storage settings" page? My system reserved storage is 11.34/11.34gb and my phone doesn't lag. Click on "internal shared storage" and "clear cached data" if you are low on space there as well.
When did it start lagging? Backup all your apps with titanium backup and then uninstall them one by one and see which was causing the issue. Or just do a factory reset and then load your apps back one by one and see which causes it to lag.
Or is your phone lagging with just the base stock Rom and no other apps on it?
No issue
We have a the same exact phone model.
And i have no problem at all.
What u saw is normal
So i think that is not the problem.
the storage isn't the problem

I just bought the phone, it was used, I like the phone I'll try some fixes before returning it.
I cleared the cache and it's still lagging.
Yes it's lagging with the stock ROM I guess (all ASUS apps are installed in it), there is no other app but stock app installed in it, lagging isn't caused by my installed apps.
RAM always have 1.5 - 2 Gb free.
I guess it's a CPU is failing.
Thanks guys for the help.
If there is anything else I can do before returning the phone to the seller please advise me ? I kinda liked the phone and it was a good deal.
I think ASUS made some mistakes on their latest update : https://www.asus.com/zentalk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=164682&extra=page=1&filter=&sid=1|8
Is there a way how to get back to an older version of Android 6 ?

you can "freeze" Asus' bloatware apps by following this guide and you don't need root to do it.

since your boot loader is locked, it's a little more difficult to downgrade. Try freezing the apps first. I believe you need to flash the recovery image from the firmware version you want to flash, then you can downgrade to the stock firmware. Its been a long time since in had a locked boot loader, lol

N910G boot loop

First thread here
I used cf auto root specifically for my device from the autoroot chainfire website just to delete bloatware like galaxy apps, S health. I didn't delete Touchwiz
Everything was fine and dandy for a few days until my phone starts crashing when browsing youtube, facebook etc.
recovery screen said it was due to 'dm-verity verification failed'
Browsing the forums, apparently flashing it with the stock rom should solve the issue. It didn't though
I flashed it and rooted it again and the problems persist
I'm lucky I backed up my data. It's just annoying having to restore everything once my phone boot loops.
What seems to cause it?
Because it's not clear from your thread, I've got a question:
After you flashed the ROM and rooted it again, did you remove the bloatware again, just as before?

So the problem is caused by removing the bloatware. Because of the programming of the bloatware and the ROM itself (they are kinda "linked" to each other), it can brake your system, just as in your case.
How did you remove the bloatware? Did you use an app? Maybe we can find a way removing it without killing your system.

I used titanium backup to delete it
Update
Bloatware doesn't matter now though
I reflashed my phone with stock rom again, this time without rooting. My phone still suffered from boot loops. What's happening here? Do I have to do a factory reset?

Did you flash the proper stock ROM for you device? Where did you get it from? I guess that something went wrong while flashing. A factory reset could solve it, but flashing the stock ROM should have resolved the issue already if the bootloop was caused by removing the bloatware - that's what surprises me.

Hi sorry for necroing and leaving a late reply
I used the Singapore starhub android 6.0.1 rom the device came with
I reflashed it and did a factory reset 3 weeks ago
Replaced battery as well
Worked fine for the time being
Then out of a sudden a boot loop occurred while I was on data
What's the cause of this?
I'm frankly tired of having to reflash the rom over and over again as well as restoring backups
I'd go for a full, clean install of stock (format /data from TWRP. Yes, a full format! Make sure you backup your media as this will erase absolutely everything.) and then flash stock with Odin.
Test it out see if it still has problems or if it's stable.
DO NOT RESTORE APPS FROM TITANIUM BACKUP
Re-download them from scratch.
I've noticed that I used to get random re-boots after restoring backed up apps from Titanium Backup.
Went ahead and started the phone over from absolute 0 and it seems my problem went away.

Stuck on 'Phone is starting' after updating to Android 12

Hello!
I tried to update my phone (SM-G975U) via Odin from Android 9 to Android 12, got the firmware from SamFw.com. Everything went fine until the phone rebooted, after unlocking the phone gets stuck on 'phone is starting'. I CAN access the Set Up Menu, Uninstall apps, move some settings here and there, connect to Wifi/Bluetooth, receive calls, install apps using ADB. Also, theres a notification all the time that reads 'Phone restarted Unlock your phone to get app notifications', I'm assuming that the phone thinks it is not unlocked and that's why it doesn't fully boot up.
Some things that I've already tried:
Intalling another Launcher (Pixel Launcher)
Reinstalling the firmware (ver G975USQU6IVC7) / Trying with different CSC with no results
Wiping Cache in Recovery Mode
Deleting/Adding Fingerprints
Changing from Lock Pattern to NIP to Password
I don't really want to do the full wipe, I would like to keep my data or be able to export the photos (Device not Recognized by Smart Switch also)
Is there anything else I can do?, has anyone been through the same issue?

Hi !

I have the same problem at the moment, almost identical to what you experienced.
If anyone has some advice on how to fix this problem, please share your advice.

Nothing works. Now decided to show it to anyone. I guess the mobile shops have an option to erase everything. I don't understand how did it happen because it's usually with my toddler, he might have done something.

I followed a video and wiped out. Finally successful. I wasn't worried about data as Google has a backup.
I followed this method and finally it's factory reset.
