Phone will not downgrade in Odin. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I want to downgrade back down to February security patch which was APB7 because I had to upgrade to the latest which is APK3 November patch. Reason was because Samsung pay framework didn't work with February patch and I'm really getting sick of that high android system percentage battery drain but when I put all the right files in Odin and start it, it fails and I get a message saying "sw rev check fail device: 2 binary 1" what am I supposed to do? Phone model is sm-g935w8 (Canada) rogers wireless.

Update on rooted N910U

So ive rooted my N910U running 4.4.4 and now when I go to update I get an error pop up saying my phone has been modified. How do I get around this and update?
That is normal because once rooted, the device looses the ability to update over the air. Also uncheck the auto update box to prevent this message popping. If there is a new firmware, you can simply download it on pc from a repository, flash via odin and reroot.

Failed root to a brick to a Security Notice

So, I attempted to root and failed, got a boot cycle and after trying countless combinations of Odins and Flashing i happened to go into safe mode restart device and it booted, now im getting the security notice about unauthorized actions to restart. My question is, Where am i at? I clearly dont have root, but something went wrong and the phone knows, Restarting doesnt help. So, What now?

lol, "bricked" means just that. There's nothing you can do amd it's only use is as a paperweight. If you are in fact bricked, there's nothing you can do. When I first rooted my GS7, it took me over an hour of flashing different Odin files. The most common mistake is people using the regular Odin and not the hacked one for the GS7. I'd suggest starting fresh. Download the hacked Odin and the stock Odin firmware for your phone. Flash it all back to stock and try to root again from there

Flashing Stock Firmware (G935AUCS4APK1) Help removing constant security notifications

I wanted to remove bloatware and also install Nougat early on my AT&T S7 Edge, so I flashed a modified AP file with Odin and also tried to root the phone. I ended up inundated with security notifications about unauthorized actions that require a restart to fix (restarting doesn't work).
EDIT: I looked back at the files and initially I used the G935F firmware files before resetting to factory settings.
I tried restoring the factory settings but that didn't fix the problem. All attempts to flash stock firmware with Odin has not been successful, and I have tried various versions. Samsung+ also lists the phone as being rooted, whereas root checking apps do not. I think it's related to having the wrong BL/AP/CL/CSC files and maybe BL being version 4. I have only been able to find firmware with "REV02" in the title and I suspect I need a "REV04."
I have noticed that there is a way to update to Nougat through ADP or SD card, but when I tried that option a message prompt informed me that updating from external storage was disabled. It seems like I hit a dead end no matter where I turn. I have been scouring the net and trying various solutions for the last few days and submitted this post as a last resort. Please help!

There's currently no pk1 at&t firmware available. There is pi2 firmware tho. The bootloaders are the same so you should be able to Odin with no problems. Here's a link to pi2 firmware.

So whats your end goal here? To flash stock akp1 and update to nougat? Or are you just trying to disable the security warning on your current set-up?
If you want to get rid of the security notice you have to disable security log agent in system/priv app, if your rooted just delete it, or another option is go into the security file folder and rename the apk and odex file with .bak, that will disable it, OR use EZ disabler and disable that package.
As for flashing back to stock, I noticed odin and ATT firmware don't get along so great. I usually flash U firmware when I'm in a jam, seems to be a lot less picky. I use either prince's odin or theres a version of 11.2 odin floating around that also has worked for me.

AT&T J120A Firmware download?

Just wondering if there was a copy of the latest firmware or last version firmware floating around. My daughters phone is still on Oct1 security patch and I do not have an AT&T sim card to spam the update server with.
edit? That being said, is it possible to flash the j120aZ firmware vs the j120aU firmware that AT&T Provides?
root but thanks AT&T
I was able to root with firmware version J120AUCS3AQE1 but because mine is an AT&T phone the bootloader is "locked and signed" meaning it's never going to unlock........? I have the latest version of firmware that came out in may 2017 and it will be available to you as soon as I can post an outside web address............ Every Recovery image that I flashed caused everything to fail and a big triangle that said AT&T detected software on your device that is not allowed on our device so I guess this one is never really your own........ but you can Root with Kingroot and supersume pro to get rid of bloatware and such but other than that no custom stuff on this one.
If Kingroot keeps freezing just restart phone and keep trying it took me a long while to obtain root.

S7 Different PDA and Phone models.

I have an s7 edge that my buddy gave me, saying it stopped working after he tried to downgrade the OS or something, now the phone only boots to Factory Binary. On the back of the phone, it says it is a G935v, however, in the factory binary, it lists the model as G935a. So which firmware do I use to fix it? And if you could, how would I go about getting the phone to boot normally instead of in factory binary?
When booting into factory binary, the PDA is FA60_G945AUCU5ARA2, the model is SAMSUNG-SM-G935A [SS], and the Phone is G935VVRU4BQH4. To my knowledge these are listing as 2 different models. Also I tried to flash the official firmware from Sammobile, and I got errors like [aboot] Fused 5 > Binary 4, etc, every time.
I would really like to get this phone working. Thanks in advance!
Bump
If I remember correctly you can flash AT&T firmware on a Verizon. Not so sure about vice-versa. As for the errors in Download Mode, make sure you're not downgrading (e.g from 7.0 to 6.0)
And I think your phone was sold by Verizon and its firmware was changed to AT&T
Also, I found this
That is not good news.
Each time VZ updates their software for these phones, they update a value in a fuse.
That started as 1 with MDK, went to 2 with ME7, 3 with MI1, and 4 with MJ7. At least that's what I think the revisions did to the qfuse.
So it's seeing that you're trying to flash a binary with revision 3 (BINARY:3) but it remembers a flash with revision 5.
Now, there's nothing out there that I know of for the i545 that's rev 5 - the next update after MJ7 will be rev 5. So, your phone is probably not going to be recoverable until VZ and Samsung release another software update for the I545. Something corrupted the fuse storing the update level.
You can verify this by flashing MJ7 - it'll probably say FUSED:5, BINARY: 4.
Sorry for the bad news.

That was for a SGS4, so I guess the same applies today.
Im assuming the A following the 935 stands for AT&T, and the V would stand for Verizon. So according to what you quoted, I'm trying to "downgrade", and the OS wont allow it? Or am I misunderstanding?
Also for what it's worth, in recovery mode it says 6.0.1 is the current firmware, but again it is listing itself as 935A, and I can't get it to boot properly, it only goes to a "factory binary".
Yes. That's about it. Try flashing a Nougat or Oreo firmware.
Or
Try flashing a combination file and then an ordinary firmware
