Flashing Stock Firmware (G935AUCS4APK1) Help removing constant security notifications - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

I wanted to remove bloatware and also install Nougat early on my AT&T S7 Edge, so I flashed a modified AP file with Odin and also tried to root the phone. I ended up inundated with security notifications about unauthorized actions that require a restart to fix (restarting doesn't work).
EDIT: I looked back at the files and initially I used the G935F firmware files before resetting to factory settings.
I tried restoring the factory settings but that didn't fix the problem. All attempts to flash stock firmware with Odin has not been successful, and I have tried various versions. Samsung+ also lists the phone as being rooted, whereas root checking apps do not. I think it's related to having the wrong BL/AP/CL/CSC files and maybe BL being version 4. I have only been able to find firmware with "REV02" in the title and I suspect I need a "REV04."
I have noticed that there is a way to update to Nougat through ADP or SD card, but when I tried that option a message prompt informed me that updating from external storage was disabled. It seems like I hit a dead end no matter where I turn. I have been scouring the net and trying various solutions for the last few days and submitted this post as a last resort. Please help!
Here is information regarding the current software of my phone:

There's currently no pk1 at&t firmware available. There is pi2 firmware tho. The bootloaders are the same so you should be able to Odin with no problems. Here's a link to pi2 firmware.

So whats your end goal here? To flash stock akp1 and update to nougat? Or are you just trying to disable the security warning on your current set-up?
If you want to get rid of the security notice you have to disable security log agent in system/priv app, if your rooted just delete it, or another option is go into the security file folder and rename the apk and odex file with .bak, that will disable it, OR use EZ disabler and disable that package.
As for flashing back to stock, I noticed odin and ATT firmware don't get along so great. I usually flash U firmware when I'm in a jam, seems to be a lot less picky. I use either prince's odin or theres a version of 11.2 odin floating around that also has worked for me.

[Q] Updated my S4 to 4.4.2 now it no longer functions correctly. Solution?

I recently decided to return my phone to stock, so I downloaded the most recent update of KITKAT 4.4.2 from sammobile. I uploaded the new firmware using ODIN and experienced no issues up until I started my phone for the first time. I performed a factory reset and also deleted the cache but it made no noticeable difference.
I now have absolutely no control over my phone, it now lags and I am unable to make phone calls, connect to WIFI or turn up the volume.
I'm not very familiar with these phones but im fairly certain that either something wasn't updated correctly or one of the files may be corrupt.
Could anyone point me in the right direction and provide me with the correct firmware or information to correct this issue?
Thank you.

Your modem looks to be very outdated. See if updating it helps with reception. Did you flash the correct firmware with odin?
As far as I know I updated with the most recent software.
Is it possible that a modem update could fix all the issues I'm experiencing?
Would you be able to provide me with the most recent firmware and modem update?
I've been having nothing but issues trying to download from these mirror sites.
No, as I don't have your variant of the S4. I have an SGH-M919. Flashing is pretty standard across the board assuming you can install a custom recovery. I'm not sure if you have TWRP/CWM or are using SafeStrap. I can't stand touchwiz, so I usually run some form of AOSP. That may not be an option for your handset, especially if the bootloader is locked.

BTV-W09 | NRD90M test-keys | EMUI: 5.0 | Android: 7.0: Bluetooth Not Working?

Is anyone having problems with Bluetooth on their device? Just need to enable it on mine because I used 2FA with my Google account, & have a security token.
Model Number: BTV-W09
Build Number: NRD90M test-keys
EMUI Version: 5.0
Android Version: 7.0
Everything else seems to be working, at least so far. Still only seeing 2.4 GHz frequency with WiFi, but getting 5.0 GHz working is something I can work on later.
My Bluetooth seems to be working fine. I am on EMUI 5 / Android 7.
the second update file likely did not install correctly when attempting the dload method correct? the solution is to install the second update file as a zip from twrp. that fixes the problem, and updates your system version to the correct btv-w09c128b350 (if your using us version) if you don't have the second update file you can download it using firmware finder app, be sure its the full ota version, as the others do not work with this method.

I love how people here use abbreviations so frivilously. TWRP?? I googled that and it seems to be a root method. Rooting the tablet isn't a solution to this and we need bluetooth and 5ghz working for US. I had an EU update installed before this, then I hear the US update is out and I hoped it fixed the bluetooth issue. But now I have a USA version with a disabled bluetooth and no 5ghz wifi radio. This tablet is becoming more of a pain than anything....
When it comes to Android, your best solution is not a Google search but a search of the forums here at XDA, TWRP, is a recovery system that can be installed on the device. Once installed it can be used to perform system backups and restores, install firmware install root, wipe a device, do all sorts of nifty things.
To install TWRP you need to unlock your device, the instructions for doing that are in a different forum. Once unlocked you will need to set up adb which instructions can be found in the install TWRP forum, each version of TWRP is device specific, so you have to get the right one. If you really want to dig into figuring out how to do this, you will need to spend several hours reading the forums about this device, or find a friend who knows how to do this that you can trust not to brick your device.

does the above mentioned operation void my guarantee for the tablet ?
That's a difficult question to answer. The device comes with two recovery systems built in. There are not many scenarios where you can hard brick the device and are unable to restore it back to factory settings, locked unrooted and like new. Any warranty issue are likely to be hardware not software.
Hmm. I am in the process of using the dc-unlocker client to unlock my bootloader. When the client reads my phone, it shows the build number as NRD90M test-keys, but when I look at device info on the phone, it shows a normal build number. Does anybody know what this means?

an error occured during software update!!! HELP

i boot up phone and see an error occured during software update!!! now smart switch doesnt recognizing, i connected to odin, in AP i put file G903FXXU.md5.tar but failed! can someone give me 4 files? BL PDA PHONE CSC? imei not random gone when i flashed with 4 files??
I bet you have corrupted system files. There are many websites that provide the recovery files (including .pit file) for free. I suggest you to flash one of your choice with first four options turned on (reboot, nand erase, repartition, and reset time). It has nothing to do with your imei. This will solve your problem and you'll be able to flash any newer firmware you want. PM me with your storage if you can't find the files. I can upload either Austria or Germany one for your g903f.

Your stock .tar.md5 is not meant to be used when you're downgrading. You may want to consider using twrp. Follow my guide above as a last resort. Basically it'll wipe out everything and roll back from BRH2 to the old version you choose so that you can start fresh. You repartition only when .pit file is used.

i put old version security patch but same 6.0.1 android version which i had on previuosly version when i did not install from ota update when i got the phone, but cm fail because binary number is lower. i had G903FXXU1BQL1 this version before update via ota. but from odin . why re-partiton automatic marked??? i saw when i flashed succesfully to bhr2 . i dont know why is ticked automatically... my phone not bricked up?? everythings would be ok?? phone booted up, but two times was in recovery screen entered and restarted two times samsung s5 logo and recovery mode, after that screen shows s5 neo and booting without the problem. i cant install previuosly android version which was be on phone when not uptated to security patch 2018 04 01 , i had 2017 december, after that when failed odin i installed the same version like what i had installed via ota. i dont know the same music apk was on preinstalled previuosly version on security patch 2017 december 1 th was . on the software was music stock apk like in photo which i more like it because on lockscreen was green backround not the white and rounded play ant back buttons, and from status bar same as looks like lockscreen. i dont know maybe the same app version was when i uptaded to the latest android version via ota when i got the update when was be on patch 2017 . but in my imagine was music stock 1.5 version but not 6.0.1 when i did reinstall fw via odin!! now changed to 6.0.1 apk music version. i found on internet the picture how should icon was on december 2017 patch without update samsung music, just stock music app. and maybe after ota update still the previuosly 1.5 version on april 2018 security patch.. i dont have any screenshots where music app was be without updated samsung music app when i had via ota uptaded version to bhr2 as same version as a flashed via odin.. how can i install lower security patch? is required pit file or twrp ? i dont do that to lower version security, because binary number is not the same. i try in a5 2016 to security patch when not changed binary number to 7. was 6 . when 6 was i can installed to february month via ota and roll back as the same file to october security because the same binary number , when i got updated and month changed to may i cant installed that version which i had until may updated security patch because binary changed to 7 with update. maybe you understand what can i say in my opinion about a5 2016 from october 1 update to every month until may i have same version binary so i can install update via ota , but when i dont like update security patch i successfull go back to the previuosly october security patch 1th because same version binary number was 6 not 7. but build number letter and number changed every month when update released ;D
and i will put photo which i found on internet music app was same as in photo when i had security patch 2017 december , and maybe was be same when i flashed update via ota when i got , but when i reflashed via odin to same android version and security patch now changed music app icon and style in the app :/ no round buttons, just buttons black. or maybe not the same when i got the phone :/ i really dont remember ://
now not looks like in 2 photo no bigger play button , not rounded and not green screen on playback line which in photo i see :/
in my music stock app playback line white not green which in photo green.. and from lockscreen white background and from status bar, before installed via odin, was version bhr 2 security patch the same as i installed firmware via odin, and music app was green and paybacks buttons all 3 rounded and green three buttons and in the lockscreen and status bar background music app was GREEN WHICH COLOR I LOVE IT MORE THAN NOW WHITE!!! not lovely looks :/ i see i can installed samsung music apk latest update but i hate that because animation effect used when song played... so name ,,Music" changed to "Samsung Music" when i installed update from gplay, when i unninstall update it shows Music. and back to stock version , but not when i was in security patch 2017 not the same icon....... maybe the ota uptade changed version but i dont believe it!!! because before reflash i listened to music with stock apk music but i dont remember what icon was . but not newer samsung music really i remember this!!! because i hate samsung music update so i unninstalled and i got stock green music backround in the music app, lockscreen, and status bar, and playbacks buttons rounded and green <3.... now after reinstalled via odin same version and same security patch and same region SEB changed samsung app to 6.0.1 apk. ... there is no way roll back to music 1.5 version apk which i had on ota update before odin reflashed as the same version !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in the first picture android 5.1 not 6.0.1
G903FXX U2 BRH2
G903FXX U1 BQL1
The U# is the bootloader version which is inflexible and unforgiving. Simply put, you can't go back.
If it's just .apk file you wish to downgrade, you can extract it from G903FXXU1BQL1 and replace /system/priv-app/smusic/ or repack BRH2. That's more complicated. When downgrading is worth putting your time, as I suggested, you roll back to Lollipop or similar using the repair firmware and then odin flash G903FXXU1BQL1 after a successful boot.
how possible to downgrade to lollipop???? i wanna that! i like lollipop, but i wprried could be a problem with phone or firmware which i installed lollipop, can crashing apps or forced closed? i dont like 6.0.1 on s5 neo
yeah i wanna flash apk music, but i dont really remember the app music was 1.5 version or same like now 6.0.1. maybe lower version, but you say i can go back to LOLLIPOP . HOW BACK???? i dont wanna loose imei or phone doesnt boot after that procedure!!!
now my bootloader on 6.0.1 android and i cant flash 5.0 version lollipop...
maybe possible downgrade to 6.0.1 xxu1 because i cant install because my bootloader newer xxu2 binary number was this so i cant flash lower binary which has G903FXXU1BQL1 marshmallow, maybe than i flashed succesfully, and i saw 5.1.1 android the same xxu1 not xxu4 , so when i downgraded i dont know how but maybe try and successfull installed xxu1BQL1 marshmallow. so i can through odin installed 5.1.1??? because xxu1 5.1.1 lollipo so maybe allow to downgrade from marshamallow xxu1 version to 5.1,1 xxu1? this software lollipop : G903FXXU1AOGG. how to roll back to G903FXXU1BQL1 marshmallow?? because i wanna installed 5.1.1 which have the same XXU1 number in 5.1.1 lollipop ;D
Like I said you put the files to flash in Odin. Note that the Samsung Music app you want was released in 2015. There are some .apk ported from s6. *See the attached screenshots

[SOLVED] S10+ not scanning for OTA updates despite having relocked bootloader using download mode and flashed stock ROM using Odin.

I rooted my phone last October 2020 and installed a custom ROM. Enjoyed it for a while but today I decided I want to revert to stock.
- Flashed stock ROM from Frija (wasn't able to backup data and settings when I first rooted my phone) (the stock firmware is the May 2021 security firmware update, it's the only one available from both SamFirm and Frija based on the region and carrier where my phone came from) using the HOME CSC file instead of the CSC (not sure if it's important to point that out but i'm just gonna bring it up just in case)
- Re-locked bootloader using download mode. Verified by searching for Netflix on the Play Store and thankfully, it showed up.
However, I tried making the phone search for an OTA update by going to Settings > Software updates > Download and install, but after checking for updates, it says my software is "up to date". I'm not entirely what the latest software version in my region is but I really want to get OTA updates back. I don't care about tripping Knox or what not, I just need the OTA updates.

As for my experience, if you are unable to get updates because of rooting, you will get: "Unable to connect to the server" or something like that. If neither Frija nor SamFirm were able to find newer software that you have, it's more like region-specific, not a rooting problem

Unable to flash firmware to SM-A202F (A20e) via ODIN

Hi there.
Apologies in advance if I have posted this in the wrong forum.
I would appreciate any help that the knowledgeable people on here can offer for the following issue.....
I recently purchased a supposedly new Samsung Galaxy A20e here in the UK (from eBay) for my girlfriend. After a few weeks of getting used to it she noticed that she wasn't able to install any secure apps on it such as banking apps nor could the phone access any OTA updates (error message: "Your current software version isn't supported"). Other than that the phone is totally usable and works with her UK mobile provider SIM.
Upon further investigation I discovered that the phone appeared to be rooted (it has a MAGISK app on it). To make matters worse it appears that the phone may not be a A20e (i.e. model number SM-A202F) after all and may in fact be a Galaxy Jean2 (i.e. model number SM-A202K) - I believe that this is how the A20e was branded in Korea. All of the relevant information under Settings > About Phone points to it being a A20e, e.g. Model Number (as does the branding on the box) but when I put the phone into Download Mode it shows the model number as SM-A202K. I also believe that the Bootloader is unlocked.
The phone is currently running the following:-
Android 9 (One UI 1.1)
Baseband version: A202FXXU3ATB1
Service provider SW ver: PRT/PRT/KTC
Android security patch level: 1 January 2020
Current version (visible if I attempt to perform an OTA Software update): A202FXXU3ATB1/A202FPRT3ASL3/A202KKKU3ATA1
The seller we bought it from does not respond to my queries and eBay haven't been much help either.
No problem I thought as I would attempt to flash the latest A202F firmware (i.e. UK firmware - BTU) to it via ODIN (and thereby remove ROOT?) but this is where I need help. I must admit that I'm not an expert in any of this so please excuse my ignorance and naivety.
I have made numerous attempts at flashing what I believe to be the correct firmware (all starting A202FXXU3***) - all to no avail. I have even tried a A202K version.
The first issue I encountered was an ODIN fail with "SECURE CHECK FAIL (PIT)". After investigation I discovered that it might be possible to resolve this by downloading the PIT file and explicitly referencing this in ODIN (I downloaded separate PIT files for both A202F and A202K). Using the A202F PIT version didn't resolve this particular problem however using the A202K PIT did however I then encountered the next problem. Using the A202K PIT file and any variation of firmware via ODIN now fails with "SECURE CHECK FILE (BOOTLOADER)" and this is where my limited knowledge runs out.
Can anyone on here offer any advice as to how I can resolve this issue please? Ideally I'd like to get the phone to a state where it is not rooted; is running SM-A202F firmware; is able to get OTA updates and be unlocked to UK SIMs.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Check if the phone has any custom recovery installed by previous user, like (TWRP, OrangeFox..). If it does do a full wipe and via ADB check for device info. I doubt it will show the same information as you listed in your post. From there i would download this firmware if its a202F
Download Samsung Galaxy A20e SM-A202F BTU United Kingdom A202FXXU3CVC1 firmware
Fast download latest Samsung Galaxy A20e firmware SM-A202F from United Kingdom with A202FXXU3CVC1 and Android version 11

Try using ODIN that i attached on this post and flash the firmware.

Many thanks for responding.
Excuse my ignorance but how do I tell if the phone has any custom recovery installed?
