Take rom b162 and use huawei extractor tool to extract recovery and recevery2.img
Then go in fast boot mode and flash both recovery files using fastboot ( you will lose twrp so prepare your dload folder with b162 update.app before )
Then you can load rom using dload technik or using wifi recovery.
Good luck

so i was able to get the stock 7.0 beta back on the L04. but i want to downgrade to 6.0 and it wont let me. i tried with both erecovery and with the dload method and it says it isnt compatible firmware. how can i downgrade? i am still bootloader unlocked if that matters.

Which firmware did you use?
I was able to get back to Marshmallow with the B162 firmware.

How to update to 6.0.1

Hi,
I'm on a stock EU firmware MPD24.65-18. I've installed TWRP and am rooted. My phone is informing me of an OTA update to 6.0.1 firmware 24.61.52.en.EU which I haven't yet done anything with.
I was going to use RSD Lite to update having downloaded the EU version of 6.0.1, but my phone isn't recognised. I'm on Windows 10, 64bit. I've tried various cables in USB2 and USB3 ports - no luck with any combinations. However, my phone does show up in adb.
So, what's my best solution going forward?
I'm thinking I should unroot and flash the stock recovery, take the OTA update then flash TWRP and re-root.
Any advice gratefully received.

you have to remove root and twrp recovery first. Stock roms can't be installed on custom recoveries. Then install "motorola device manager", it should help you

I unrooted and installed the stock 6.0 recovery. Accepted the OTA update and it failed with 'Error!' after downloading and rebooting into the Bootloader. The phone is still working but it's still on 6.0.
Any ideas?

If you can, try to flash manually with fastboot the 6.0.1 rom. I did it and it's easy, just a bit boring
I will try that next. Which guide did you follow?

P9 lite bootloop please help

I tried to install Xposed but something went wrong and my P9 lite now continues bootlooping
how can i restore it?
from eRecovery it doesn't work...
eRecovery?
You need TWRP to install Xposed so... I assume you do have TWRP?
Then just restore your backup. I do hope you have a backup!
If not, make a wipe and flash a stock firmware. You can find links here in the forum.
Always make a backup of your working system when you flash stuff.
A bootloop from installing Xposed is not normal! I assume you have flashed a wrong version.
Keep in mind that it takes a long time for the first boot after installing Xposed so it might not even be a bootloop.

can you link me the stock recovery? for VNS-L31
how i have to flash it now?
You can find links to the newest firmwares here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/stock-firmware-links-t3468245
The links provide you with a flashable zip file that can be flashed through TWRP.

No. You need to find a way to install TWRP first.
But how did you flash Xposed when you don't have TWRP?
Or how did you lose TWRP access? I can't really see how you do not have TWRP...
i have twrp but sometimes it access to it and sometimes no

you can do it with fastboot... flash the twrp img
i haven't access to my twrp
i haven't access to my twrp anymore
when it's shut down i pressed power off + v up + v down and iy says installing update but at 5% it stops
Try to reinstall TWRP using fastboot.
There are guides in here how to do that. I'm on mobile right now so can't really search the links.
But you installed TWRP before so just try to do it again but do it in fastboot mode. You should be able to still access this.
If you want to return to stock download a full firmware and extract it using huawei firmware extractor or similar. Then you can use fastboot to flash boot.img, cust.img, system.img and both of the recoveries. This only applies if you have the boot loader unlocked.
If it stops at 5% the oeminfo may not match the firmware you are trying to flash (at least it was my problem). You can also flash the correct oeminfo partition through fastboot (oeminfo files are available just search).
Edit: And I agree with what Schlengge as posted. You should still be able to flash twrp trough the fastboot mode.
Hello.
I'm stuck on here since 2 PM of yesterday and I can't figure out the mess I made.
So today I tryed on removing brand Vodafone (italian), and i did make it but i ended up with C900 and couldn't log with google, i tried installing oeminfos but i got the one from P9 (not lite) and it bricked my phone and it was stuck at booting sayng my datas were unable to load and suggests me a factory reset (lowleve) which the system made from itself.
Now I flashed the userdata and it worked, now the phone boot but Model number says hi625 and serial lacks of L31.. i mean it is VNS-C432B130..
Someone knows hot to help me?
i think its the same of balong version in p8 lite.
Thanks Everybody.

If you have unlocked the bootloader I would suggest flashing all the important images manually using fastboot (cust + cache + system + boot + recovery + recovery2). Also before rebooting flash the oeminfo (the C432 p9 lite one, either dual or single sim) file using fastboot (do NOT flash a zip file trough fastboot).
After doing this try to flash using erecovery combo (+ and - button combo) and do a factory reset. In my case that fixed it.
Edit: Since you want to debrand I would suggest using the VNS-L31C432B151 firmware.
flash the twrp img with fastboot, then sideload the xposed uninstall zip

It still fails. After restarting device it boots into installing screen with miFavor logo instead of TWRP. The processing bar runs to about 24% then stops to reboot. I notice that the log at bottom screen say mismatch. And I got message system update package does not match the phone.

You have to install it in stock recovery. Put it on your FAT32 sdcard and then in stock recovery select "Apply update from sdcard".

Sorry, you can't sd upgrade
I think you have to enable OEM unlock in developer options, first. Then, you can install B29 via SDCard.

Thanks. I forgot to unzip the file and put it in the root of sd card and I have done what you said too. It is running installation now.
I'm failing now? I went from ZAD v.3 back to stock B29 (I have an unlocked bootloader). I do have the MiFavor recovery (not TWRP)
I got the notification there was an upgrade, it took 6 hours to download... but the update "failed". I tried applying the update via SD card, but I get about 32% in and says "Update failed"......It also lists "Status 8" and "system partition has unexpected contents".
Sounds like y'all are having a hell of a time between the slow OTA speeds and then getting it to actually flash.
So I think I'll hold off for now. Hopefully we can get some TWRP-flashable zips soon enough... I think DrakenFX is already busy with all that
You guys are making this way too complicated.
The full B29 firmware will flash just fine with twrp.
Only OTA *updates* require the stock recovery. The difference is the update patches existing files while the full firmware contains full partition images.
Be aware if you download the full b29 firmware from zte, it will also replace your recovery and bootloader. You won't be able to flash recovery from the bootloader/fastboot screen then. Also, it wipes all your data.
DrakenFX put out a modified version of the full firmware file which doesn't modify the bootloader. I believe it also leaves the recovery intact.
After flashing official A2017U B29 firmware from ZTE the signal network service is lost. I ignore this and continue to upgrade to Nougat successfully and I get lost signal. I notice that Dual Sim Setting is working. Does official firmware overwrite original chinese baseband/bootstack? Can someone please upload chinese baseband/bootstack A2017 please?

No more complicated than it's turned out to be....
I followed DrakenFX's guide to B29 stock... The Nougat OTA downloaded, in 6 hours, but failed. So, I tried the SD card method, and it also failed at 32%.
Not sure what else I can do? Just wait for DrakenFX to make ZAD v.4 is my plan for now since I already wasted about 11 hours trying to upgrade today, and another 3 restoring back 6.0.1 and all my apps.

No problem upgrading using the OTA on an sdcard here. Flashed the draken stock_system zip, then fastboot flashed the B29 stock recovery. Reboot to recovery (which is now stock) and update from sd card. If you've messed with other partitions, you may need to flash more B29 .img's.

nougat upgrade

Hello, im currently on b161 and i want to upgrade to b381, do i just place the update zip to dload on sd card and thats it? Im asking because the site im downloading it from doesnt provide uodate data full for b381 but it does for everything else
you could wait for the ota, you'll get 371 first, and then 381. otherwise, try firmware finder, that should be the easiest way to upgrade.
if you want to use the update.zip you need to flash it through twrp, and the update data full file for the same version as well.

you won't need to unlock for the ota and firmware finder.
you do have to unlock the bootloader to install twrp. there's a few guides for upgrading to nougat, but you have to follow the instructions closely to prevent bricking the phone.

To update my rooted phone to B182 I had to download the full package (2.3gb, including update.zip and update_full_WASL21A_hw_eu.zip). I was not successfull in updating via TWRP. I updated via the official system menu so I don't know how exactly it was applied. According to other guides (http://www.stechguide.com/tag/was-lx1c432b182/ for example) it should be update.zip first and update_full_WASL21A_hw_eu.zip second, without a reboot.
