I recently bought a refurbished GN3 in the UK. It was marketed as an N9005 but it turned out to actually be an N900A - the AT&T variant. Obviously all the AT&T guff is not much use to me, and I'm having difficulty making it install the 4.4.2 update from the UK.
Does anyone know if it's possible to install the generic N9005 ROM on this phone? Any pointers to how to do it?
Cheers,
Tom
If I were to flash the Czech T-Mobile firmware on my G935FD, will it lock the bootloader? I am under the impression that the carrier firmwares come with locked bootloaders.
Please note that the Czech T-mobile variant is the Exynos variant, same as my G935FD.
Regards
I am hoping that someone responds to this and sets me straight.
Please tell us the model of the phone, the country, locked /unlocked (also the carrier if locked), any information about the update in your country / information from your personal carrier. In Romania on SMG-935 F unlocked I didn't recieve the update.
The most important countries already received the update such as UK, a part of France and some of Australia.
This thread will help you determinate when your getting the update based on other people's info from your country. Please share your info.

Here's a message from Orange romania who's saying that the update for locked models is taking 1 month from the time of receiving the update. (- + some days/weeks depending on the team working on the update if it's bigger or smaller)

Is it safe to upgrade firmware targeted for one Galaxy S10+ device to another device?
Assuming both phones are either running Snapdragon or both phones are running Exynos.
Example:
- buy SM-G9750/DS (China/Hong Kong version)
- flash firmware from SM-G975U1 (US Unlocked version)
Will this be safe? What is the procedure? Has anyone attempted it?
Will I lose Dual SIM capability?
What are the potential benefits of doing so?
Will this also enable more bands (which are not enabled on China/Hong Kong version of the phone? example band 66 and band 71?).
Is there other way to enable those bands (CDMATool does not show those bands in selection).
Bands are hardware, not firmware. Flashing different firmware won't enable more bands. Flashing different firmware won't get you anything I'm afraid. They all effectively share the same firmware. All you'll do its cause potential issues.
I know the Exynos dual SIM variants share thw same firmware as the single SIM Exynos variants. But I'm not sure about the G9750/DS and G975U1 .
I'm trying to find the unlocked s8 compatible with tracfone USA & I need an unlocked bootloader for twrp & roms etc.
Thanks
