[Q] GN3 carrier-specific variants - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently bought a refurbished GN3 in the UK. It was marketed as an N9005 but it turned out to actually be an N900A - the AT&T variant. Obviously all the AT&T guff is not much use to me, and I'm having difficulty making it install the 4.4.2 update from the UK.
Does anyone know if it's possible to install the generic N9005 ROM on this phone? Any pointers to how to do it?
Cheers,
Tom

[Q] Flashing T-mobile official CSC into N9005?

Hi,
I have asked this previously but never got a straight answer. I'm trying to get 4G on my N9005 as I'm currently residing in NY. The 4G is on and everything but I did some research and found out that I can't get true 4G with my N9005 just like that. I'm currently using T-mobile, Can I just flash the CSC from the latest firmware for 900T and replace it with the n9005 firmware csc? will that be all that I need to do to enable the 4G?
Thank you, Any help appreciated! :fingers-crossed:

[Q] Can I install the Polish 5.0 build on a Carrier locked EE Note?

Can I install the Polish 5.0 build on a Carrier locked EE (UK) Note 9005?
Sorry for the question. I'm struggling to understand the requirements. My Note 3 is locked to EE. If I install the unbranded Lollipop 5 on this will it cause issues? Does the SIM lock have any affect on the ROM?
I'm thinking if I install the Polsih or UK Vodafone Firmware the phone will no longer work on my Provider? All I would then need to do is request a Unlock code?
Any help will be appreciated.......I'll leave thanks!

[Q] N910 Version Query

I've just bought a Note 4 to replace my much-loved Note 2. I'm in the UK.
It was advertised as the European Version, but it's marked as a N910H, that I read on here is the Asian Version.
Is that right?
The label says it's an N910HGSMH
and when I look through About Device it says the Baseband Version is N910HXXU1ANK5.
What does that tell you experts about the phone? Is it compatible with European LTE?
Should I really have a N910F ?
I'm worried about this so would be glad to have any comments please!

[Q] Flashing Different Carrier Firmwares

I'm seeing conflicting information on how to flash our phones with official software and have a few questions:
Where is the carrier-free US S8 (not plus) variant firmware? I've searched, what even is the CSC for it? XAS, TMK? XAA?
I found a thread that seems to have the EXACT process for flashing any carrier firmware, it says to download the G950/G955W firmwares, which ones? There's some for Bell, Fido, etc. The op failed to provide links.
Has anyone actually successfully debloated their US carrier S8 with a non-carrier firmware, a firmware simular to what we had on the G930U? If so, could you post your EXACT process, down to the very download links you used?
I'm using a T-Mobile US Galaxy S8, and my friend has a Sprint Galaxy S8+, we both want the carrier-free firmwares flashed, but things seem to have changed a lot in the many years since we've flashed phones (the last phone I used Odin with was the Note II!)
Thank you
I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to the US variant of the S8, but I can tell you this much, the SM-G950W is the canadian model it seems, and XAC is the unbranded non carrier firmware for that model.
