How to update CM9 Nightly when newer versions are available without having to flash the new ROM, So that i can keep my settings and apps as it was before.
Any better ways than backing up and restore.
I think flashing between CM9 nightlies doesn't require wipe data. You can flash normally but if you change between ROMs or different android version (2.3 going to 4.0) you need to wipe.
Also, if you want to backup, I suggest Go Backup or Titanium Backup
Hello,
Could anyone could share a clean CWR dump of an official WE ICS ?
I've flashed CWM10 but my backup was not correctly done (backup with a not fully functional CWM version).
So I couldn' revert back...
Many thanks,
same here.. need a rooted us ics nandroid
Well, I really appreciate the pre rooted ROMS for the i9505 and everything is working good, even OTA and official status. :good:
As flashing a custom recovery makes it unofficial (so no OTA), the only way I've found in order to make a full nandroid backup is using the Online Nandroid Backup app from the Google Play Store. I obtained a CWM backup file that I stored on my external SD card.
Now, in order to make a full nandroid restore of my previous backup (not only apps but the whole system), I have to flash again a custom recovery. Sadly, when doing this, I have to reflash again the stock recovery, to use Triangle Away and to make a full wipe for having official status and OTA back again :crying:
I wonder if there is another way to restore my full nandroid bakcup without using a custom recovery or without affecting the flash counter/official status ?
Thanks !
Hi, right now I'm on CM 14 and would like to try Oxygen OS 3.5.6. If i do Nandroid backup of 3.1.0 using TWRP can I restore it back without loosing IMEI from 3.5.6?
I think our twrp doesn't backup both modem partitions, even for full nandroid..... Just back up the modems manually.
It's possible make full TWRP backup for pie ROM and after install EUI ROM to return to pie ROM using that backup?
Should be fine. I switched between Oreo and Pie before. Just be sure to erase PIN and fingerprints before creating backups, and swapping ROMs.
