Is there any way of having statusbar brightness control feature? - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

GravityBox doesn't work on MIUI. So, I was wondering if there is any other xposed module or other ways to get the feature of sliding through the statusbar to control brightness.

That's not what I'm talking about. But, never mind, I found a module called MIUI 8 Tweaks. It has the feature. You may try it too.

Request: Brightness slider like other G2s

I miss the brightness slider my S4 had in the notification pull-down. Is there a way to add that? I'd rather not install a custom just for that feature.
Thanks.

[Q] Quick Settings

Any chance that there might be some form of rom or Xposed module that turns the Touchwiz QS toggles into AOSP-looking toggles? I've been googling around for hours without any luck.
Also, is there a way to boost the brightness of the flashlight?

1-Wanam Xposed
2- This
Wanam doesn't quite turn it into AOSP-looking toggles, close though, but no cigar.
Thanks for the link to the adjustable brightness apk. I'm used to just setting it directly in Torch, but considering Torch won't work on a non-AOSP rom, well... ^^''

[Q] LG G3 Hide Navigation Bar Settings on G2

Hi guys!
I come from Cloudy G3 to Stock 4.4.2 Rom (AT&T v20y), and the only thing that I miss is the ability to hide the Navigation Bar in some apps that are in the settings of the G3. And I wonder if is there the probability of have it in my settings, flashing some zip file in recovery.
Thanks in advance!

Do you mean something like Settings -> Display -> Front Touch Buttons -> Hide Front Touch Buttons? I mean, it's an option in CloudyStock, not sure about pure stock.
If you really want that feature, third party applications from the app store like Ultimate Dynamic Navbar can provide this functionality.

I don't think there's a way to get it put into your stock Settings menu unless you have a ROM that includes it. Like I said there's many third party alternatives. Perhaps consider installing the Gravity Box module for Xposed. It has an option to hide the Nav Bar amongst other useful tweaks.
Main features
- QuickSettings tile management with additional tiles and tile reordering
- CyanogenMod Pie Controls
- Lockscreen targets
- Expanded desktop with semi-immersive and immersive modes
- Lockscreen tweaks
- Statusbar tweaks
- Navigation bar tweaks
- Power tweaks
- Display tweaks
- Media tweaks
- Hardware key actions
- Dialer tweaks
- Launcher tweaks
- Screen recording
- Smart radio
- Notification control (per-app notification LED/sounds/vibrations)
... and many more

Rom features most important features to your needs

I am asking this as I am about to start my own rom project for nexus 6p
I am also open to rom bases
What are the most important Rom features to you?
What special features do you like?
What version of root do you prefer?
Do you prefer certain kernel features?
Professional flashaholic here, so here I go:
Must have:
Long press power button for torch
Double tap to sleep anywhere in lockscreen
Battery light (led)
Do not wake screen when plugging charger
Animation speed control (all possible values, not just 1x, 0.5x, etc...)
Status bar ticker
Playback control using volume rocker
Reorient volume buttons on screen rotation
Ambient display advanced customization (especially brightness)
Fingerprint authentication optional vibration
Status bar clock customization
Quick pulldown in quick settings
Fingerprint unlock after reboot
Really nice to have:
Pulse visualization (both in navbar and lockscreen)
Volume panel customization (especially timeout)
Quick unlock
Navigation bar settings (DUI)
Full substratum support (especially if using default teal AOSP color)
All the Pixel goodies (nav bar animations, sounds, wallpapers, launcher, etc)
Root: I say let the user decide, some people prefer SuperSU, some prefer Magisk.
I've used almost all of the Roms here in XDA and other places, and right now, Resurrection Remix is the one that has everything I want, which is not to say that the other roms are bad. In fact, I've enjoyed every single one of them, and I'm immensely grateful to all of the developers here. I usually donate to them when I'm especially happy with a rom. It's like having a new phone every two weeks or so.

Don't include any root! That way is easy for user to stay unrooted if they wish, or to easily flash supersu, magisk, or whatever else.
Redsmith pretty much covered all the bases on a good rom. I'm currently on nitrogen rom 7.1.1 and using substratum. So theming is important to me

Battery charge led, volume rocker change tracks, oms ?
I was also going to ask does anyone want viper mod baked into the rom?
I wouldn't, but that's just me. I'm not a big audiophile. My $8 earbuds from Walmart sound amazing to me.

I mean it would be cool to have viper arise . But I can always flash it afterwards. Can you make the ROM 7.1.2 based or can u make it the 8.0 Dev preview rooted?
Also pulse on the lockscreen like back in the cm days. Flashlight hold power button.. immersion status and nav bars

To base it on 7.1.2 the source code needs to be released. Since it's still in beta I highly doubt the source has been released yet. If you want 8.0 rooted, why not just install the preview and flash SuperSU?

I have my developers account with Google so. I'm. Looking to build this. Up for 8.0 I want to make sure it's a daily driver I don't want to. Be releasing a bug filled rom.

I might as well actually answer your question in the OP while I'm here. Must have features for me:
- AOSP base
- Long press power for torch with screen off
- Adjustable screen time out settings for lift to wake gesture
- Ability to adjust nav bar height
- Double tap lock screen to sleep
- Volume rocker media control
- Custom quick settings rows/columns (ex: 4x4 layout rather than the stock 3x3)
Anything else is just a bonus but would still be appreciated. I think things that can be flashed like like root, Viper, etc should be left up to the user.

I appreciate all The feedback from all of you this is a great start
When I get a stable version I will.mesaage the guys interested in helping me. Test
As you can make a rom do you think you could possibly help me out with a mka bacon issue. How much ram do you use? As for features/apps I would say include adaway, wakeblock, supersu, viper4arise, substratum and oms support and camera nx and ex kernel manager and for features just copy Resurrection Remix.
I will pm you
I guess I'll throw my hat into the time, as I'm always down to test new ROMs!
Some must haves for me:
- Alarm/Wakelock Blocker
- Navbar dimension tuner
- Pixel icons / Color (I think it's a framework thing)
- Lock screen double tap to sleep
- Lock screen font change
If you need an additional tester I'd be down! Flashaholic, so I could give it a good run through. If somehow you were able to bake a lot of the features mentioned into 7.1.2 I'd download in a heartbeat and donate what I could. Easily

Hiding The Big Stupid Navbar Android 11

Long story short, Q gestures is absolutely terrible. I use a third party app for navigation. however, EVERY single app I've ever tried seems to be unable to hide the nav bar due Google's screwery. in fact, even Fullscreen Qgestures magisk module does nothing on Ob1.
Does anyone know a definitive way to hide the stupid annoying navbar?
Google have removed the ability to over-scan the display in Android 11 (which is the trick all 3rd party apps used to hide the nav bar); so at the moment there's simply NO WAY to remove it,
I wouldn't mind the built-in gestures so much if there was the ability to turn off the "mini nav bar" which just shows a hide icon every time you use a keyboard. That's the biggest UI issue in my book, it just looks stupid!
Google needs to reverse it back to the way it was...

With magisk you can use module called Fullscreen/Immersive Gestures (Q-R).
Works great, no problems with missing toast notifications etc.
can confirm, that magisk module works perfectly. use your volume keys during install to set the settings. https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/HideNavBar
Has anyone done this to get fng working on an OP8 Pro with latest Android 11?
EDIT: Just read the github. Doesn't work with Oxygen OS.

I absolutely loathe that extra button.
But the slider at the bottom of the screen for gestures I've grown to love.
Knocking it left or right switches apps really quickly and I couldn't be without that now.

Nice one for this.
Have to keep the OnePlus launcher installed to retain gestures though
Sliding at the bottom still works

I don't understand what you mean: you can define swipes to hide or to reveal the top and/or bottom bars.
No keyboard necessary.

Hi,
You can either use fullscreen Gesture magisk module or you can follow this guide below-
How to remove Nav Bar in Android 11
Works perfectly on OP8 Pro with latest Android 11 update. Thanks a lot.
forum.xda-developers.com
In oxygenOS 11 you can hide the bottom space between the keyboard and gesture .... you have that option in your settings under the language and input section.... you can simply search keyboard height adjustment in setting and you'll find it
thank you
Is there a way to auto-hide the nav bar? Ex. On my old phone you could swipe up to show it or tap a dot on the left to stop it from disappearing.
Looks like the only way is to use a different launcher? I tried adding the fullscreen / immersive module but I believe that's just for the keyboard.
