Hello folks,
sorry if this may be the wrong place to ask that, but I'm currently on the A2017G B03 version and want to restor my stock recovery.
I followed the steps by drakenfx here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-guide-updates-to-stock-files-via-t3469484
The thing is: My TWRP won't go away, and my recovery.img I backed up is on my work computer
Can anybody supply me with a compatible recovery.img file?
Thank you all.
Best,
Ben

I don't think that's the way that most of us have converted our Chinese Zuk Z1s from ZUI to CyanogenOS.
Search for PaulOBrien's MoDaCo forum post entitled "Convert Z1 from ZukUI to Cyanogen OS" and follow those instructions. In my experience, to flash COS you need the COS recovery, which is available for download from PaulOBrien's post. Breadcrust's TWRP works well for the CM13 nightlies, though.
As a warning, however, if your ZUI version is too high you're going to have to use QFIL to flash to an earlier version, due to them starting to lock their bootloaders. That process I don't know much about, but I can link you to some guides if it is necessary for you.

In my experience, Zuk ZUI keeps the recovery locked down until you get rid of it (ZUI). Try to BOOT to the PaulOBrien recovery .img, instead of flashing it - the ADB line for that should be "fastboot -i 0x2b4c boot recovery recoveryfilename.img". That should work. Flash your new COS .zip. That will clear out all the ZUI crap. Then immediately reboot to the bootloader and try to FLASH the PaulOBrien recovery .img again. Without ZUI around, it should go through.

So you're booting to a TWRP recovery, and not PaulOBrien's official Cyanogen one?
Which TWRP are you using there? What you might want to try is download JoaoPaulo's TWRP (see MrColdbird's Unofficial CM13 Nightlies thread for a link to it) and try to boot that one. That's what worked for me. From JoaoPaulo TWRP, wipe System/Dalvik Cache/Cache/Data, then reboot straight back to the bootloader. Try to flash the necessary recovery then.

thanks, that worked fine. Do you by any chance know why twrp won't boot? It worked fine on 6 but not on 7. So i flashed back to stock recovery and stock ROM via dload method and i'm going to try it again but I don't know where I went wrong.
Previously when I tried to boot to recovery with twrp flashed it just stayed on the "booting to recovery now..." page but never actually got there. I waited like 20 minutes before giving up.

If you used meticulus TWRP it does not boot when you are on stock Nougat, you have to flash Nougat TWRP

Is there a seperate link for Nougat twrp? The one I downloaded was 3.1.0 from the twrp website which is the latest version and compatible with nougat as far as i know.
P9 lite does not have official TWRP.
Here the link for Nougat TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...ecovery-twrp-3-0-2-android-nougat-03-t3511937

my bad, im in the wrong forum altogether lo. I have the P9, was searching for an answer and mustve selected the wrong search options which lead me to the p9 lite thread. Fixed it though and figured out what the problem was. Apparently TWRP doesn't play nice when you try and boot it while its plugged into a pc. Unplugged it from PC and it booted without issue. So im sitting here using adb reboot recovery when I should have been doing the finger dance with the cable unplugged lol.
Figured I may aswell post the solution here anyway in case someone makes the same mistake I did.
So i just got the next android update and i downloaded it right away. I clicked the install button and left it in the charger. When i came back it had booted into twrp (i have unrooted yesterday btw). i found this quite odd but is just booted to system and it seemed fine. Then it said it was getting ready to update and rebooted again. Again it booted into twrp. I booted to system again and then the screen with update unsuccessfull.
Can anyone help me with this, i really want the nougat update

You've to be on Stock recovery to be able to intall/flash official OTAs from motoroal. TWRP is a custom recovery which doesn't go well with these official OTAs.
Flash stock recovery first & then try to update:good:

It's the same way you used to flash twrp recovery, in (m)fastboot mode use the command-
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
or
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Flash stock recovery, then flash the B32 that you downloaded from ZTE and also do a factory reset. After that I think you can lock.
P.S where did you get the stock recovery from?
