Today my time is showing to be about 52 minutes slow. If I reboot it reads correctly, but then changes after a couple of minutes.
My time and date settings are all correct. I have tried on and off of WiFi to see if it could make a difference. My wifes s6 is showing the correct time.
Any ideas?

The CDMA version is having issues with the phone's status displaying as 100% awake time after sending a text message. It is thought that a text triggers a lock on the dialer to remain awake even after putting the phone to sleep, leading to the horrid 12 hour battery life with our Heroes. Using Spare Parts we can see that the dialer is near 100% of the Partial wake usage once a text is sent. We are fairly positive that this is the culprit, but I have yet to read if anyone has actually checked the other version.
To rule out another cause, would any of you out there with a GSM hero check/test if this is the same for you?
The simple test is to:
1. restart the device
2. send a text (using the default HTC app)
3. check your awake time status (settings-->about phone-->status-->awake time)
4. put the phone to sleep for a few minutes
5. check again
Thank you
HERE is the thread with the problem if you care to read up on it.
hi, been sending texts all day and havnt had a problem on my gsm hero
up time is at 42.43.22
awake time : 12.29.55 (29%)
after restarting and sending a text, i waited a few minutes and checked again
up time 8 mins
awake time 7.27 (92%)
so no problem there
on a side note, when i brought the hero it had crap battery life, less than a working day but after an update all was fine
Thanks for the info. It seems like we need an update as well
Do you by chance have Spare Parts installed and can check on the "Partial wake usage"?
yeah
just to let you know
up time is now 1.54.37
awake time is 0.29.30 (26%)
now to spare parts partial wake usage
android system 3mins 29 secs
net counter(app) 51 secs
facebook 40 secs
dialer 36 secs
i have end button behaviour set as " go to sleep"
phone hasnt really been used much since i booted it last
Great! Thanks again for all the help.
And the fact that you haven't used the phone much in the last few hours exactly demonstrates our ****ty problem
Anyone else having long boot times for the tablet? It's very annoying together with the sleep of death's and many random reboots.
My boot time is like at least 2 minutes, and I see people writing here it takes 20 seconds for them.
From the time I hold down the power button and get the first response on screen to "ready to use" is about 20 seconds on my tablet, that would be a fair estimate. I haven't timed it exactly.
Thanks for the reply. It's weird because it was like that for me at the start. But after some days it just started to take around 2 minutes. Never rooted or anything so no clue what it could be.
Mine takes a while too. Definately longer than 20 seconds, at least a minute.
Just started happening to me during my second day of use. Initially, boot up times were about 20 seconds. Everything seemed to be going well until this evening (second full day of ownership). I came home to see battery drop about 20% while on standby. Looks like "Cell Standby" was the culprit. No idea why this process would eat up battery considering this is WiFi only! Anyway, I also discovered two odds things: 1) it took significantly longer to boot up (about 2 minutes) and 2) I kept getting a warning about being out of space for apps, even though I had about 2GB of storage free.
Trying a hard reset now to see if it fixes these issues.
I noticed boot time increased right after the recent OTA update.
Turns out my phone was not stuck but it took 30 minutes to turn on. Why might this be?
My r800a is stuck turning on. It gets past the Sony Ericsson logo but then gets stuck at the rogers logo. Its been like this for 15 minutes. I pulled the battery and tried it but the same problem keeps happening.
My phone is rooted and is on Android 2.3.2
Rogers rapes the firmware?
Seriously, When mine had the rogers firmware it took foreeeeever to turn on. Not 30 minutes, but it did approach 10 minutes once.
Other than that I dunno man, is it consistent?
Verizon's version loads up very quickly ...30 minutes is crazy!
Well when I first got it it was 4-5 minutes. Right now it takes 30 minutes I've tried it 2 times and both were a bit above 30 minutes.
I actually just noticed something strange. When I am using a Live wallpaper it takes forever but when I am using a standard wallpaper its around 4 minutes.
I guess now I know to change my wallpaper before shutting down. Since I found a temporary solution it won't be that bad but I still want to know why this is happening. I may try a reset in a few days.
That's why I flashed uk generic... 25seconds on a turn on. If I installed a lot of Apps before the reboot, it takes 60seconds. Rogers was 3 minutes + everytime
Sent from my XPlay using XDA App.
My phone (9505) seems to be losing about 35 minutes of time overnight.
For example, right now it's 7:51am, but the phone says it's 7:15am. This happens after every night. To fix it, I uncheck the sync time option and check it again in the settings.
Now sure why it's happening?
Hi All,
I have noticed that whenever I set the sleep time (Settings -> Display -> Sleep) to anything other than the 15 seconds, after a little while, it will automatically revert back to 15 seconds. I have set it to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes and never, but they will always automatically revert back to 15 seconds. My battery is at 85 percent and this happens even after I turn off smart power and all other power saving management programs. Are there anyone else that is experiencing this problem? Please help, thanks!
I don't have this problem. I set the sleep time to 10 minutes on the first day and now it is like it should be, set to 10 minutes
I also don't have this problem.
Hi,
I figured it out. I have the program Kinscreen installed and it was this program that was automatically changing my sleep time. I paid for the premium version which unlocked the option to change the sleep time in Kinscreen and problem solved!
