Why all my threads or if i reply/post somewhere making Thread Participated ?!
please fix it. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING THAT EVERY THREAD THAT I STARTED IS PARTICIPATED AND EVERY THREAD THAT I REPLIED OR COMMENTED BECOMES PARTICIPATED.... WHY?? PLEASE FIX IT

I dont own an Evo yet, but im not new to android. I come here for a friend that is very new to android and I like to help. I understand this is a new phone so many people are flocking to it. But I honestly cant believe how many people are posting things in random places. The development thread looks like the general section. Its hard to even find what im looking for.
I know many mods are on it. But the rules of this site (stating what i said above in a professional manner) need to be stickied on all 5 threads for the time being. Hoping it cuts down on useless threads and cluttering of (personal opinion) the development thread.
I was going to post this in the dev thread, hoping people would read it. But i figured it would be hypocritical since this inst dev related.
Second post on the same topic.

There have been a number of flame threads popping up recently, and I have closed them.
Do NOT make any more. The chance has been blown, and the threads keep turning out of control. Those doing this will be dealt with individually later on when I feel like it.
Anyone making more of these threads will be issued with an infraction if their first offense, or a vacation if not their first offence.
I have just deleted no less than 45 "OMG FROYO IS COMING" threads from this section. Any more threads being created to discuss this will be deleted on sight, and the OP will face disciplinary action. Use an EXISTING thread for Froyo discussion.

I see in the android nand development sections lots of DEV threads getting bombarded with requests and complaints. For example the thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049170 for fixing the hd2 kernel bugs and missing code. This could end up great if it isn't abandoned by dev's because of members posting useless things and clogging the thread up. ......Why don't we add a new section under hd2 android for just DEV's for threads like this one so maybe there will be more of a chance that it isn't just clogged up with useless complaints and requests? And maybe something like only senior members can post replys in that section or make new threads...or something along those lines..... and if the reply is a useless complaint/request, pass out infractions because if whatever person was able to post past whatever posting restrictions, they should have learned the rules/the way things work around XDA..... just an idea.....please post any comments or better suggestions and mod's, please think about this because I think it's a big issue with DEV threads getting bombed to death......
That's a good idea but then if for example its allowed only to senior members.. Alot of the people who post those useless stupid comments would had reached senior statues with the number of post they have made already.. And the moment a dev post something the flood gates will open... Unless a thread is hidden to everybody else but established developers like that only they see it and can post/read it.. because even if they can post and everybody else can read it.. Threads will start up in other sections to talk about what they read it will create even more useless threads
Yea, probably pointless to make it just for senior members... but something along those lines....
Hi guys. As you know, there are always some members bringing up posts, repeating it, discussing useless and pointless threads. However , what you can do is to kindly tell them to post what kind of threads and not just discourage them and insult them for the posts they made. Everyone surely have done that when they are new as they are very enthusiastic am I right??? So, if you see members posting useless or pointless threads again , it would be advisable to tell them off nicely or answer their question and clear their doubts . I am saying this as I felt this this was a common sight in the Forum and I experienced this before when I was a newbie. I mean, obviously you would hope that people would respond to your question right? Please kindly spread this post to gain awareness and never be rude to newbies! Teach them, guide them so that they could know more about the i9000

To open a discussion on why that forum is letting cyanogenmod get slandered, anyways they didn't like it.
